It is said that the 21st century is for 'the period of womankind'. In the present age of the information, femininity such as artistry, sensitive faculty, and creativity are popular. In the age of new trend of liberalism based on the market economy, The inclination of women who are the majority of the consumers move the market, and thus women-power is leading our society. In these days women's social activities are really called and in the society of information, feminine sense and virtues are needed, more and more. Especially since the second half of 1980', women leaderships have been thought the effective ones in the society Traditionally in the Confusion ideas, social activities by women have not been permitted: they could be called to be the wise mothers and good wives in their homes. Because of this trend, it is not easy for Confusion ideas with the concept of sexual discrimination or predominance of men over women to join in order to solve the problems of our society. But in order to be the meaningful thought in the 21st century, Confusion ideas should have to show the new analysis on this topic, with the new vision on the women In that case, the Korean traditional concept effected by the Chinese Confusion ideas could be renewed and thus it can be the new thought in order to solve the problems on women. 21세기는 ‘여성의 시대’라고 한다. 현대의 지식정보사회에서는 예술성, 감성, 창조성과 같은 여성적 특성이 각광을 받으며, 시장경제를 바탕으로 하는 신자유주의시대에는 소비자의 대다수를 차지하는 여성의 취향이 시장을 지배하고 여성의 영향력이 사회를 움직인다. 현대사회에는 여성의 사회활동이 필수적으로 요청되며 지식정보사회에서는 여성의 감성과 미덕이 더 요구된다. 특히 1980년대 후반부터 여성리더십이 지식정보사회에 더 효율적인 새로운 리더십으로 주목받고 있다.전통의 유교사상에서는 여성의 모든 사회활동을 금지한 채, 가정이란 울타리 내에서의 현모양처에만 여성을 제한해놓고 있었을 뿐이다. 이런 맥락에서 남녀차별이나 남존여비사상을 가지고 있는 유교는 현대사회의 문제의식에 동참하기는 어렵다. 그러나 유교가 21세기에도 의미 있는 사상으로서 자리잡기 위해서는 여성의 문제에 대해서 새로운 시각에서의 비판과 재해석이 필요하다. 그래야만 유교의 영향을 받았던 우리의 전통사상도 새롭게 변화될 수 있으며 여성에 관한 문제를 해결하기위한 새로운 사상이 될 수 있을 것이다.

The aim of this study is to find out the reltionship between the Ming-li(命理) theory and vocational aptitude. As the methodology of the study, a combination of Ming-li's classical and modem theory was used in this thesis. First through review of Ming-li theory literatures, the author analysed vocational aptitudes with the viewpoints of Wuxing(五行), Sipshin(十神) and Gyukguk(格局). The author introduced actual cases of vocational aptitudes studied from the viewpoints of Ming-li theory, and showed its problems and limits. Even though the classical theories might not be good for the complicated modern society, the author suggested as a result, if we would study further with the viewpoint based on the modem knowledge and cases, the Ming-li theory to vocational aptitudes could be one of valuable guiding references in choosing careers.
