Recently, the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) vehicle is actively developed. The evaluation test method was created to validate the reliability of the system. The ADAS vehicle has to cope with the emergent situation. Since the real ADAS vehicle is the integration of many performances of DAS systems, there might be unexpected situations or malfunctions that are not detected by each simulation test. Therefore, advanced ADAS technology is being developed. However, it is difficult to develop and test in real vehicle test because of the time and cost of the actual vehicle experiment. Therefore, VIL (Vehicle In the Loop) using virtual environment is used for ADAS functional verification. In this process, the VIL test requires scenarios that simulate appropriate hazardous situations to validate the ADAS system. In this paper, we develop the Adaptive Scenarios that can simulate these situations without complex and cumbersome calculations. These scenarios, mounted on an ADAS vehicle, mimics the hazard situation in VIL verification and allows ADAS sensors to detect it. Finally, vehicle test on AEB function experimented for verification.
ESC 시스템 센서의 고장 진단 및 재구성에 대한 연구

Recently, mechatronics systems are frequently being applied to automobiles. Among these mechatronics systems, ESC (Electronic Stability Control) system is applied to improve the stability of the vehicle and develop driving performance. Major functions of ESC is anti-block system, traction control system and yaw rate control. These feedback control systems are integrated yaw rate sensor, lateral acceleration sensor, steering wheel angle sensor. The application of this system is increasing the importance of fault diagnosis of these systems in order to ensure the stability of the intended vehicle driving. In this paper, we propose a model-based fault detection and isolation algorithm based on parity equation and incident matrix method.
ADAS의 실험 및 검증을 위한 통합 평가 시나리오 연구

Since the real ADAS vehicle is integration of many performances of DAS systems, there might be unexpected situations or malfunctions that is not detected by each scenario test. Euro NCAP and ISO decisively offer many test scenarios for each criterions and conditions. In this paper, we studied the newly developed integrated scenario for testing ADAS using ‘PreScan’. The scenario that can evaluate at least two ADAS systems at the same time using virtual environments-based method. This paper offered the integrated test scenario about ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) systems.
운전자 성향을 고려한 적응형 순항 제어 알고리즘에 관한 연구

This paper presents an adaptive cruise control algorithm development with driver behavior. The algorithm controls the vehicle to minimize awareness of difference in automatic control. The controller collects space to preceding vehicle while manual driving. Therefore, it is able to estimate the driving intention and set the control parameters for driver’s feeling. By previous study, adaptive cruise control systems are focused on the performance. This adaptive cruise controller is concerned with not only safety, but also comfort. This algorithm is simulated using CarSim® simulator with other driving vehicles for verifying its effectiveness.
Vehicle In the Loop을 위한 HUD 시각화 환경 연구

This paper presents a head-up display for VIL (Vehicle In the Loop) simulator. This head-up display system includes a beam projector and rear screen film. This system offers safety driver’s view with both of real and virtual environment at the same time.
ASM Traffic을 이용한 ADAS 통합 제어기 검증에 관한 연구

ADAS, which improves driver convenience and vehicle stability, has been actively studied so far. There are ACC and AEB for longitudinal control and LKA for maintaining lane by lateral control. These ADASs have been developed individually and have been independently verified. For this reason, in certain scenarios, there has been a problem of controller interference and control transfer problem. In order to fundamentally solve these problems, research is underway to integrally control ADAS functions with a single controller. To contribute to this research, this paper has designed an integrated ADAS controller and verified it in various driving scenarios. In this process, ASM Traffic was used to create the surrounding vehicles that would affect the integrated ADAS controller and to acquire the data. Finally, the integrated controller was verified in four scenarios.
