신흥석유수출국 경제의 지속 성장 가능성 -카자흐스탄을 중심으로-

본 연구는 신흥석유수출국으로 떠오른 카자흐스탄 경제가 국제 고유가의 지속에 따라 계속적인 발전을 하고 있는가에 대한 분석을 목적으로 한다. 카자흐스탄은 국제 고유가의 지속에 따라 외형적으로는 지속적인 성장을 하고 있는 듯 보이지만 실질적으로 생산자원이 자원부문으로 집중되는 구조적 문제를 안고 있다. 이러한 현상은 카자흐스탄 경제의 지속적 발전을 저해하는 장벽이 될 것이며, 궁극적으로는 산업의 경쟁력을 약화시키는 원인이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 VAR 모형을 활용하여 국제유가의 변동과 카자흐스탄 GDP 간의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 국제유가의 상승이 카자흐스탄 GDP의 상승에 실질적 영향을 미치는지를 실증분석하고 이를 통하여 ``네덜란드 병``의 징후가 존재하는가에 대한 검증을 하고자 하였다. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the possibility of sustainable economic growth of the Republic of Kazakhstan under high oil price circumstances. Although the Republic of Kazakhstan seems to in a sustainable economic growth, it, in fact, may have structural economic problems such as the concentration of product factors (e.g. labor, capital etc.) into the natural resource mining sector. This phenomenon will make major barriers to economic growth of Kazakhstan and, consequently, cause weakening the industrial competitiveness. In this paper, a recursive regression was applied to identify the dynamic relationship between GDP and oil price, and the effect of oil price to Kazakhstan GDP was analyzed. The result of this analysis implies that a ``dutch disease`` symptom may exist in Kazakhstan economy.
