Rod Milling과 Chemical Leaching에 의해 제작된 비평형 Al(Fe-Cu) 합금 분말의 결정화 및 자기적 특성

We report the crystallization and magnetic properties of non-equilibrium $Al_{0.6}(Fe_{x}Cu_{1-x})_{0.4}(x=0.25, 0.50, 0.75)$ alloy powders produced by rod-milling as well as by new chemical leaching. X-ray diffractometry, transmission electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and vibrating sample magnetometry were used to characterize the as-milled and leached specimens. After 400 h or 500 h milling, only the broad peaks of nano bcc crystalline phases were detected in the XRD patterns. The crystallite size, the peak and the crystallization temperatures increased with increasing Fe. After being annealed at $600{^\circ}C$ for 1 h for as-milled alloy powders, the peaks of bcc $AlCu_{4}\;and\;Al_{13}Cu_{4}Fe_{3}\;for\;x=0.25,\;bcc\;AlCu_{4}\;and\;Al_{5}Fe_{2}\;for\;x=0.50,\;and\;Al_{5}Fe_{2},\;and\;Al_{0.5}Fe_{0.5}\;for\;x=0.75$ are observed. After being annealed at $500{^\circ}\;and\;600{^\circ}C$for 1 h for leached specimens, these non-equi-librium phases transformed into fcc Cu and $CuFe_{2}O_{4}$phases for the x=0.25 specimen, and into bcc ${\alpha}-Fe,\;fcc\;Cu,\;and\;CuFe_{2}O_{4}$ phases for both the x=0.50 and the x=0.75 specimens. The saturation magnetization decreased with increasing milling time for $Al_{0.6}(Fe_{x}Cu_{1-x})_{0.4}$ alloy powders. On cooling the leached specimens from $800{\~}850^{\circ}C$,\;the magnetization first sharply increase at about $491.4{\circ}C,\;745{\circ}C,\;and\;750.0{\circ}C$ for x=0.25, x=0.50, and x=0.75 specimens, repectively.

The amorphization process and the thermal properties of amorphous Ti$_{40}$Cu$_{40}$Ni$_{10}$Al$_{10}$ powder during milling by mechanical alloying were examined by X-ray diffractometry (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The chemical composition of the samples was examined by an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDX) facility attached to the scanning electron microscope (SEM). The as-milled powders showed a broad peak (2$\theta$ = 42.4$^{\circ}$) with crystalline size of about 5.0 nm in the XRD patterns. The entire milling process could be divided into three different stages: agglomeration (0 < t$_m$ $\leq$ 3 h), disintegration (3 h < t$_m$ $\leq$ 20 h), and homogenization (20 h < t$_m$ $\leq$ 40 h) (t$_m$: milling time). In the DSC experiment, the peak temperature T$_p$ and crystallization temperature T$_x$ were 466.9$^{\circ}C$ and 444.3$^{\circ}C$, respectively, and the values of T$_p$, and T$_x$ increased with a heating rate (HR). The activation energies of crystallization for the as-milled powder was 291.5 kJ/mol for T$_p$.

The nacelle anemometer mounted behind the blade roots of a wind turbine measures distorted wind speed comparable with free-stream wind because of the wake effects caused dependent upon the operation of the wind turbine and the rotation of its blades. The field campaign was carried out to measure free-stream wind speed at a height identical to the height of the nacelle anemometer by deploying a ground-based remote-sensing equipment, LIDAR. It is derived that a third-order polynomial equation for correcting wind speed measured by the nacelle anemometer to undistorted free-stream wind speed incident to a wind turbine. It is anticipated that the derived correction equation enables wind speed measured by the nacelle anemometer to be used as a precise input for a wind turbine performance test and for developing an active control logic.

한반도와 같은 산악지형에서 풍력단지를 조성할 경우, 인근 지형에 의한 차폐영향이 없기 때문에 상대적으로 풍력자원이 우수한 능선을 따라서 풍력터빈을 설치하는 것이 유리하다. 본 연구에서는 산악지형에서의 풍력단지 입지 평가를 위하여 SRTM v4.1 3 arc-second 해상도의 수치고도 데이터베이스와 지형형태 분류 프로그램인 LandSerf v2.3을 이용하여 풍력터빈 설치 가능한 능선을 추출하였으며, 강원도에 건설된 강원풍력단지, 태기산풍력단지 및 매봉산풍력단지의 사례분석을 통하여 대부분의 풍력터빈이 상대적으로 풍력자원이 우수한 능선을 따라 배치되었음을 확인함으로써 이 방법의 유효성을 검증하였다. To develop a wind farm in a mountainous terrain like Korea, it is generally more advantageous to install wind turbines along a mountain ridge where has relatively better wind resource because that is open in all directions and free from shielding by the surrounding topography. In this study, the SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) v4.1 3 arc-second resolution digital elevation database and the geomorphometric characterization software LandSerf v2.3 are used to extract ridge lines for assessing a wind farm siting in mountainous terrain. The effectiveness of wind farm siting along a ridge line is confirmed that the most of wind turbines in the Gangwon, Taegisan, and Maebongsan wind farms in Korea’s mountainous terrain are placed along the primary and secondary ridge lines where wind resource is relatively outstanding.

As is the case in Korea, the expansion of renewable energy dissemination is an essential matter in Ukraine when considering its energy consumption and dependence on energy import. While Korea has set about promoting the new and renewable energy industry on the back of the national policy on green growth, Ukraine expects a virtuous circle of renewable energy industry with green tariffs and the attraction of foreign capital in association with carbon emission trade. Utilizing its well-developed heavy industrial sector including the shipbuilding and automobile industries, Korea expects wind turbine manufacturing to become one of its next-generation growth engines. Ukraine is also trying to enter the wind turbine system or parts manufacturing industry based on its automobile industry and advanced aerospace technology. Although the Crimean region in Ukraine seems to have excellent wind resources, and thus shows great potential as a location for wind farm development, political instability has been a major obstacle to the attraction of foreign capital, leading to delayed investment.

The national goal of wind energy dissemination has to be determined rationally based on technically available wind resource potential. For a reliable and scientific estimation or wind resource potential, a wind map is requisite. This paper presents the national wind map of Korea established by numerical wind simulation. Prediction accuracy of the low-resolution wind map is Improved by nudging QuikSCAT data and is validated by comparing with marine buoy beacon and met-mast measurements. Therefore, quantification of national wind resource potential is now possible and is anticipating to be utilized as a core index for policy and strategy building of wind energy dissemination and technology development.

National wind atlas of Korea requires effective database management because it has been constructed by 5-year long-term time-series numerical wind simulation. Therefore, database of the national wind map has been developed to increase data structure efficiency using IDL scientific programming language which has outstanding feature in mega-capacity numerical dataset. Visualization module also has been developed under IDL environment and it is anticipated to maximize post processing efficiency and applicability of the national wind map especially in the standing points of researchers and developers.

In order to support wind power development, the wind resource database of Jejudo has been established by meteo-statistical analysis on meteorological-mast measurements of KIER. Analysis processes contain correlation of monthly wind speed and power-law exponent among neighboring sites, Measure-Correlated-Predict for long-term correlation, classification of exposure category using satellite image and so forth. It is found that the monthly variations of wind speed and power-law exponent depend on seasonal winds and characterize wind system of Jejudo.

In the present paper a forecasting system of wind power generation for Walryong Site, Jejudo is presented, which has been developed and evaluated as a first step toward establishing Korea Forecasting Model of Wind Power Generation. The forecasting model, KIER forecaster is constructed based on statistical models and is trained with wind speed data observed at Gosan Weather Station nearby Walryong Si to. Due to short period of measurements at Walryong Site for training statistical model, Gosan wind data were substituted and transplanted to Walryong Site by using Measure-Correlate-Predict technique. Three-hour advanced forecast ins shows good agreement with the measurement at Walryong site with the correlation factor 0.88 and MAE(mean absolute error) 15% under.
