In order to meet more stringent emission regulations for SULEV, precise injection of fuel in terms of amount and timing is very critical. For improvement of the performance when the vehicle is cold started, 30% max. propane is added to butane depending on season and local climate in Korea. LPG fuel property varies with propane composition, which leads to change of air fuel ratio, caloric value, combustion characteristics etc. Due to change of fuel composition, the amount of fuel injection, fuel properties and combustion conditions are varies. It needs to be investigate injection model in a gaseous LPG injection system to precise injection control.
