However, there is tendency that neglects its importance or overlooks development and acquisition of new technique by classifying it as separate style in aesthetic expression method through recognizing a work at beauty design competition as something special. There is a need of understanding and expressing a work with high difficulty level and of creative ability and an individual player’s effort. This study analyzed historical background in our country’s skill competition, and design in the hair design item part among skill competitions, which are held in region and the whole country every year, and analyzed hair design works from 2001 to 2010, respectively, thereby having considered those things by constitutional element in hair design. Based on this, it promotes continuously qualitative improvement in a work as many majors in beauty have higher interest in beauty design competition, in addition to direction of development in the hair design item at beauty design competition, thereby expecting that new trend can be led in many fields and by item.

The National Hairstyling Competition improves the quality of hairstyles and encourages the participants to create creative hairstyles in terms of style and color. They need to come up with a high level of hairstyles with creativity and strenuous efforts. Thanks to these efforts, they can build and accumulate new skills. In most previous studies, review of the National Hairstyling Competition and comparison and analysis of certain topics were major concerns. Hence, the general analysis of each event and hairstyling has been relatively poor. Therefore, this study has attempted to analyze hairstyles, focusing on systematic hairstyling events based on previous studies. According to the study, beautiful, gentle, and feminine aspects were emphasized in hairstyling events. In addition, modern, creative, bold, and formative aspects were commonly observed. In terms of color, contrast, or natural beauty of gradation was detected. It is expected that this study will set the direction for the development of hairstyling events in the National Hairstyling Competition, make more hairdressers become interested in the competition, and lead a new trend in various sectors by improving the quality of hairstyling.
통일신라시대 여성의 머리 형태에 관한 연구 : 나·당 사신의 교류와 영향을 중심으로

This study is to investigate how clearly and diversely women's hairstyles changed after Tang influenced the Unified Silla Dynasty in Korean ancient hairstyle history through documentary work in order to present relevant relic materials for the acquisition of the correlation. The documentary work was carried out with the contents in Samguksagi, the only historical document from the Three Kingdoms Age. With this, it can be concluded that the impact during the Unified Silla Period caused the change in hairstyles of Korean women. The impact can be traced even to the Goryeo and Joseon Dynasties. The examples of geodumi and gache (wig) hairstyles can help towards a persuasive argument. The conclusion of this paper is that the excellent culture of the Tang Dynasty had a great impact on women's hairstyles, and such a phenomenon cannot be found either before or after Tang.
