Much as using geographical spatial information of project site in early architectural design phase is essential, to obtain the information requires great time and hard work. This research presents the method to use the information of Vworld as national Spatial information clearinghouse which is serviced by ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for Architectural Design. Furthermore, it is presented that a practical method to use Vworld information for modeling BIM data with developing Autodesk Revit plug-in.

The Architectural design is located on the process to reach a final design alternative through creating, reviewing and validating the design alternatives which is created by designer. Even if the quality of design is not related to the number of alternatives, the number of alternatives can serve a chance to review and validate design and design idea. However the creating alternative which is linked to the initiate design idea is difficult. The solution way to solve the problems and to adapt the requests can be the generative design system based on parametric technology. The system can serve a methodology to generate diverse design alternatives within the range of the parameters which is constrained by a designer. The designer can be served a chance to review his/her design history with the ability to record design history of the system. An architectural design process based on the generative design system is going to be proposed through reviewing the technologies to adapt architectural design and case studies.

When Space Management System is developed, the link between a properties of space and a spatial model(or drawing) is needed for not only information delivery but also to keep data integrity between spatial model and space information. Furthermore, CAD in Web Environment is required in a space management system which developed based on Web Environment because using a traditional stand-alone CAD system for building and maintaining the space model can cause a lowering of efficiency. In this research, the CAD systems executed in Web environment which have been developed up to now are analyzed on features and limitation for the space management and present the subject matter of the requirement. In addition, the developed CAD in Web environment by the research institute is introduced.

Combining IoT technology with the BIM paradigm can enhance the data collection that BIM strives for by enabling real-time monitoring of building conditions. This data collection can be used very effectively for managing facilities. However, many IoT devices must be installed in buildings to achieve such results and therefore, a management system is required. The purpose of this study is to suggest an IoT management system that uses the drawing information extracted from a BIM model to allow effective management from initial installation of IoT devices to maintenance.

디자인 초기 단계에서, 설계자들은 다양한 대안들의 검토를 통하여 디자인을 발전시킨다. 하지만, 인간의 정보처리 능력의 한계는 다양한 대안을 만드는 것을 힘들게 한다. 이러한 한계를 극복하는 방법으로 컴퓨터를 이용한 생성시스템기반 디자인 개념이 있다. 이 개념은 디자이너가 “의도하지 않은 발견(UXD)”을 통해 디자인 해결방안의 새로운 아이디어를 찾을 수 있게 도와주며 디자인 문제를 해결하기 위한 새로운 요구 사항을 찾아내는 것을 더욱 효과적으로 지원 할 수 있다. 하지만 생성되어진 무수한 디자인대안은 디자이너를 도리어 혼란스럽게 만들 수 있으므로 디자인대안이 디자이너의 의도를 만족시키기 위한 최적화 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구는 이를 위하여 유전 알고리즘을 최적화 방법으로 사용하는 생성시스템기반 디자인 방법을 제안한다. At the early design stage, a designer would develop a design through reviewing various alternatives. However, the limitation of human information handling capacity would be an obstacle to makes various alternatives. A way to overcome the limitation is to create the alternatives with the design based on generative system concept with computer. We assume that generated alternatives by the generative system for design can help a designer find out new ideas of design solution through "Unexpected Discovery(UXD)" and detect new design requirement for design problem more effectively with assistance of the system. Even if the concept has the advantage, the generated countless alternatives make designer confused. For this, an optimization method to satisfy designer`s intention is required. This research suggests design based on generative system using genetic algorithm as optimization.

At the early design stage, a designer would develop a design through reviewing various alternatives. However, the limitation of human information handling capacity restricts what makes various alternatives. A way to overcome the limitation is to create the alternatives with computer power and the generative design concept with computer has been used. For the generative design, even if a great deal of methodologies has been presented, the core of methodologies would be the process of shapes which examine interrelationship among shapes and how shape can be changed with the interrelationship. The interrelationship can be represented as rules. To represent the rule, the shape grammar is suggested by Stiny in 1972 with the article of “Shape Grammars and the Generative Specification of Painting and Sculpture”. The aim of this paper is to present a way of using generative design based on shape grammar for generating alternatives in 3D manner.
인천국제공항 통합공간관리 시스템 프로젝트를 통한 3D 공간관리시스템에 관한 연구

Incheon International airport Corporation (IIAC) has the huge amount of property such as land, buildings and spaces. For managing the asset, they are using scattered information which is 2D Architectural CAD drawings, Documentations, Images, and Alphanumeric based managing system such as ERP. The scattered information provokes to decrease work efficiency. IIAC recognize the situation and develop new system “Integrated Space management System” which is based on a new approach to integrate the scattered information and intuitive way to avoid asked expertise with 3D object, 3D real time rendering technology and intuitive user interface for the frontline user. For the system a tailored and simplified 3D CAD system which is focused on asset management is developed and introduced. With the CAD system, two of problems are overcome which are the required expertise to handle CAD model and the large 3D data handling. The 3D model file format is newly-designed for asset management which cleans up needless data and then making small enough 3D models is possible and distributed process of 3D model handling is possible too.

It is clear that the importance of geometric information (point, line, surface, and etc) on the stage of building design. The geometric information without meaningful information (a name, a size, and a purpose of space and etc) can make an error and require time and efforts to correct it. The error is caused by non matched information between geometric and meaningful information and it asks to drop down of efficiency in Architectural Design. To solve the problem, new technologies and paradigms based on CAAD (Computer Aided Architectural Design) are turned up. The important technology of them is the methodology to handle design information based on parameter technology. The technology can convergence geometry information and meaningful information which to create, modify, and link the object with the linked information between them. This research shows the methodology how to support space planning in early stage of building with parameter based technology. The platform for it, Archicad is used and to build up parameter based object, GDL (Geometry Description Language) is used. The research to support the effort integrated Architectural Design Information and to suggest the methodology in early design phrase which build up and using the information.
