      • Immunohistochemical and Biochemical Studies on Dopamine Content in Rat Brain During Cholecystokinin-Induced Suppression of Feeding

        포만중추 (satiety center)를 자극하여 음식섭취를 억제한다고 알려진 CCK-8을 흰쥐 복강에 투여하여, 흰쥐 뇌의 도파민 변화에 대한 CCK-8의 효과를 관찰하였다. 흰쥐 뇌의 부위별 도파민 함량은 HPLC-ECD방법으로 측정하였으며, 시상하부와 흑질에서의 TH-immunoreactive neuron은 면역조직화학법과 영상분석법을 시행하였다. 굶긴 쥐에서는 정상 쥐에 비하여, 도파민 함량이 전두 피질, 해마, 시상하부 및 편도체에서 각각 감소하였다. CCK-8을 투여한 쥐는 정상 쥐와 굶긴 쥐에 비하여, 도파민 함량이 시상하부에서 의미있게 감소하였다. 또한 굶긴 쥐는 정상 쥐와 비교하여, TH-positive neuron의 분포와 수가 뇌실옆핵, 깔때기핵, 정중융기 및 혹질에서 현저히 감소하였다. CCK-8투여시, 시상하부와 흑질에서의 TH-immunoreactive neuron의 수는 굶긴 쥐에 비하여 증가하였다. 이상의 실험 결과로 보아 음식물 섭취를 억제하는 작용이 있는 CCK-8은 시상하부의 도파민 신경계와 일부분 관련되어 있으며, 또한 시상하부와 흑질에 존재하는 TH-positive neuron은 음식물 섭취 행위에 중요한 역할이 있음을 시사하고 있다. The present study was aimed at establishing what changes occur in the dopamine levels and pattern of TH-immunoreactive neurons of certain areas of rat brain during food intake suppression produced by intraperitoneally administration of CCK-8. CCK-8 in dose of $10\;{\mu}g/kg$ was injected intraperitoneally to 48 h food-deprived rats. In the fasted group, the contents of dopamine were decreased in the frontal, striatum, hypothalamus and amygdala as compared to those of the fed control group. The administration of CCK-8 showed significant decrease on the dopamine levels of the hypothalamus, in comparison to those of the sated and starved group. During deprived condition, the density and number of TH-immunoreactive neurons in the paraventricular nucleus, arcuate nucleus, median eminence and substantia nigra were lower than those of the fed control group. After administration of CCK-8, the pattern and distribution of TH-positive neouons in the hypothalamic areas and substantia nigra were increased when compared to those of the starved group. It is concluded that the results demonstrate the partial involvement of hypothalamic dopamine-containing neurons in the feeding inhibition of CCK-8. Furthermore, the results indicate that TH-immunoreactive neurons play on important role in the hypothalamus and substantia nigra for eating behavior

        고출력 이산화탄소 레이저와 Erbium : YAG 레이저를 병용하여 시행한 안면 주름의 치료

        Background : Laser facial skin resurfacing has become a method of treatment for photoaging and pigmentary conditions. Although excellent results can be obtained by high-energy, pulsed carbon dioxide(CO₂) laser, significant morbidity exists due to the considerable thermal damage to the skin. The Erbium: Yttrium Aluminum Garnet(Er: YAG) laser, with a wavelength of 2940 nm, is well absorbed in water. This leads to a very small zone of thermal necrosis, compared ta the CO₂ laser. Objective : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the results of the combined use of the char-free CO₂ laser and the Er: YAG laser in the treatment of facial wrinkles. Methods : Forty-six patients, aged between 30 and 68 years, with facial wrinkles, were evaulated. Two types of resurfacing laser systems were utilized in this study, a high-energy, short-pulsed CO₂ laser and a Er: YAG 1aser. Wrinkle improvement was evaulated by the patients satisfaction, clinical improvement, and photographic analysis before and after the resurfacing procedure. Results : Twenty-six of the 46 patients had greater than an 80% improvement, and 19 patients had a 60-80% improvement. Only one patient showed a 50% or less improvement. Conclusions : The combination of char-free CO₂ laser and Er: YAG laser for facial wrinkles is a safe and effective modality for laser skin resurfacing.

        Letterer - Siwe 씨의 증 1 예

        Letterer-Siwe disease in an acutely onset, progressive and fatal disorder of RES, usually appears in male children, chareacterized by constitutional signs and extraos-seous lesions. This case occurred in a 18-day-old female showing hepatomegaly, hemorrhagic crusted papular eruptions on the entire body, and abdominal distension. Direct smear of scraping materials from the skin lesion showed numerous histiocytes. Hematologic and other laboratory examinatons showed no abonormalities.

        노장층에 발생한 피부질환의 임상적관찰

        This statistical analysis was made out of 2, 259 clinical cases (9.9%) of akin disorders in the aged group over 50 years of age, among from the total 22,931 cases of outpatients, from 1974 to 1978, at Department of Dermatology, Sung-Sim HospitaI. Sex difference of the patients-male, 1,057 (46.8%), female, 1, 202 (53.2%)-was found statistically significant. The results were as follows: 1. The common disease groups were eczema(42.3%); fungal infections(17.6%); urticaria, drug eruption and toxic erythema(12.3%); viral infections(9.2%); bacterial infections(4.8%); pruritus(4.1%); and tumor(2.3%). 2. The most frequent disease in the respective group was contact dermatitis, fungal infection of hand and foot, acute urticaria, herpes zoster, folliculitis, generalized pruritus, and benign tumor. 3. The disorders prevalent in man were fungal infections, the men-women ratio being 2:1. In contrast, the disorders prevalent in woman included eczema group(men-women ratio was 1:1.3), and pruritus group(men-womne ratio was 1:2). 4. 53 cases(2.3%) of skin tumors were 31 cases of beingn tumor(1.4%) and 22 cases of premalignant and malignant tumor(0.9%), the latter including squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, metastatic carcinoma, malanoma, and lymphoma.

        豪猪皮狀魚鱗癬은 廣範圍하고 不規則한 幾何學的 樣相을 띠며 主로 兩側性으로 分布되어 發生하는 稀有한 疾患이다. 著者들은 9歲된 女兒에서 臨床所見 및 組織學的所見으로 診斷된 典型約인 豪猪皮狀魚鱗癬 1例를 經驗하였기에 文獻考察과 함께 報告하는 바이다. Ichthyosis hystrix or systematized epidermal nevi refers to a widespread lesion, bilaterally distributed and arranged in irregular geometric patterns. Anine-year-old girl showed generalized linear verrucous papules and patches in symmetrical distribution. Histopathological findings showed characteristic patterns of so called "epidermolytic hyperkeratosis"; remarkable hyperkeratosis, acanthosis, papillomatosis, and vacuolization of malpighian cells. Authors observed a case of ichthyosis hystrix and reviewed literatures.
