        This study explores how ASAM XIL-based Test Automation can improve the quality of automakers. We will explain the basic concept and structure of ASAM XIL and demonstrate the integration of Test Automation solutions such as National Instruments (NI) and Vector using the Test Automation Tool based on the ASAM XIL standard called X-Studio. This covers how to improve the scalavility of test cases, as well as the flexibility of automation validation and evaluation environment deployment.

        The most effective and effective function in vehicle safety is an airbag device. An airbag is a safety device that rapidly inflates to protect the driver or occupants in an automobile accident. The airbag inflates the airbag by generating nitrogen gas when a collision sensor and an electronic control unit detect the amount of impact of the vehicle during a collision and exceed the collision limit. In general, when driving at a speed of about 30 km/h or more, the collision sensor detects and deploys when a strong collision is received from the front or side within 30°. (Each country has different laws and regulations) An airbag is effective in reducing the risk of fatal injury or death in a frontal collision and may not deploy unless a seatbelt is worn as an auxiliary restraint device for a seatbelt. In addition, there are various types of airbags, such as side airbags and curtain airbags, in addition to those mounted on the steering wheel or dashboard. Automotive airbags are manufactured in accordance with the regulations on certification and inspection methods and procedures (Korean Standards, Ministry of Environment Notice No. 2021-118) and the regulations on manufacturing automobile test inspections and procedures (Korean Standards, Ministry of Environment Notice No. 2022-73). You must undergo an authentication test. In order to receive a certification inspection, you must follow the vehicle certification test and inspection work procedures of the Korea Environment Corporation. A similar certification procedure exists internationally. The cost of certification inspection varies depending on the type of vehicle and test items, but generally costs between several million won and tens of millions of won. In the case of verification through a verification environment through Hil, it is difficult to configure the same environment as an actual vehicle crash test. The virtual verification environment is a simulation platform that emulates the automobile SW platform, system, and vehicle dynamics model as a digital twin and can pre-verify SW logic and vehicle functions. Compared to the Hil verification environment, it has the advantage of configuring an environment identical to reality and being able to verify by simulating shock amounts and ACU movements at a level similar to reality. Through this, time and cost savings can be expected as mentioned above.

      • HILS 시계열 데이터 이미지 변환을 이용한 CNN 기반 자동화 검증에 대한 연구

        In this paper, we propose a framework of automated validation for HILS test data that is time dependent based on CNN using image encoding. Recently, electric vehicles and automated driving technologies have developed and ECU in vehicles is more complex. As a result, validation of ECU in vehicles is becoming important. HILS can reduce time and resources for test and validation of ECU. But amount of test is increased rapidly. To solve these problem, automated validation for HILS test data is studying. But it is difficult to find that consider the time dependent characteristics of time series data. In the study, image encoding used on other engineering field is applied to convert multivariate HILS data to image and introduce framework of automated validation for HILS test data based on CNN through validation performance about MDPS HILS data.
