기무라 추이치 금강대학교 불교문화연구소 2017 불교학 리뷰 Vol.22 No.-
On Mount Minobu is located Kuonji Temple, and from ancient times this area was known to believers as a sacred place, referred to as “The Mountain of the Founder of the Nichiren School.” The Minobu Archive is under the jurisdiction of Kuonji Temple, and in this collection are many Buddhist scriptures, apocrypha and other treasures of Buddhist literature. These are widely used not only by researchers of the Nichiren School of Buddhism, but also by many researchers of East Asian Buddhism in general. The works are introduced in the three-volume “Index of Writing in the Minobu Archive” and the “Index of Art and Writing in the Minobu Archive.” However, in the present situation researchers in far places can only find the tiny amount of information contained in these indexes that is open to the public, and must actually come to Mount Minobu if they wish to use the works in the Minobu Archive for their research. In this paper, entitled The Great Treasures of East Asian Buddhism and Minobusan, I will first simply discuss the life of Saint Nichiren, the founder of Nichiren Buddhism, as it is deeply related to the first period of the chronicles of the Minobu Archive. Next I will discuss the theory behind the collection of writing in the Minobu Archive, and the purpose and methods of collection. Afterwards I will divide the history of the Minobu Archive into 6 periods, discussing the state of the collection in each period. Following this I will discuss the modern investigations of the Minobu Archive that led to the creation of the“Index of Writing in the Minobu Archive,” and finally I will write about the works that are preserved separately from the Minobu Archive, discussing the state of preservation and the value of the other important writing. Through the consideration explained above, I sincerely hope that this paper can lead to the development of East Asian Buddhist research and can provide a chance for new discovery. 미노부산에는 일연종 총본산인 미노부산 구온지(久遠寺)가 있고, 옛부터 조산(祖山)이라고 일컬어져 일연 신봉자의 신앙을 모으는 영지로서, 그 존재는 흔들림 없다. 이 미노부산 구온지 관할 아래 있는 것이 미노부문고(身延文庫)로서, 그 문고 안에는 수 많은 불전・외전・그 외 집기 등이 소장되어 있다. 이들은 일연종 종학자뿐 아니라 많은 동아시아 연구자에게 널리 이용되고 있다. 소장물 등에 대해서는 <<미노부문고 소장 문서・회화 목록>>이나 <<미노부문고 전적 목록>>전 3권 등으로, 주로 전적류에 대해소개되어 있다. 그러나 그들에게는 서지정보가 기재되어 있을 뿐으로서, 새로 발견된 문헌이 조금공개되어 있다 해도 극히 일부에 그치고 있다. 따라서 조사대상이 되는 개별 전적에 대해 상세히 알기 위해서는 실제로 미노부산에 가서 확인할 수 밖에 없는 것이 현 상황이다. 이번 강연에서는 ‘미노부산과 동아시아불교의 보물’이라는 제목으로, 먼저 일연종 종조인 일연의 생애에 대해 서술한다. 이것은 나중에 서술할 ‘미노부 문고의 연혁’ 중 최초기에 관한 사항이므로 간단하게나마 언급한다. 다음으로 미노부문고의 전적 수집 이념과 관련하여 일연이 행한 전적 수집 양상과 그 목적에 대해 서술한다. 그후미노부 문고의 역사와 전적 수집 상황에 대해, 그 기간을 6기로 나누어 각 기간의 전적 수집 상황에 대해 고찰한다. 이어서 현대에 미노부문고 내 전적 조사와 그 성과로 들 수 있는 <<미노부문고전적목록>>의 작성에 대해 서술하고, 마지막으로 미노부문고 외에 소장되어 있는 미노부문고에 대해, 그 소장 상황과 그 외의 귀중한 전적에 대해 서술한다. 본고는 상기한 내용의 고찰에 의해, 이후 동아시아불교 연구의 발전과 나아가 새로운 발견의 가능성을 기대하는 것이다.
