소아에서 흔한 강완골 과상부 골절 환아 34례에 대하여 주로 K강선 경피고정으로 치료한 결과를 임상 분석하여 문헌 고찰과 함에 보고하고자 한다. The supracondylar fracture of the humerus, the most common fracture of the elbow in children, is often associated with variable complications, that is, vascular impairment, Volkmann's ischemia, nerve injuries and cubitus varus deformity, etc. The authors reviewed 34 cases of supracondylar fractures treated from August 1989 to July 1991 with more than 12 months follow-up and obtained following results; 1.Male was common, and the common age group was from 2 to 7 years(mean age 6.25 years) 2.Main causes of injury were fall from a height. 3.Left side was affected more and extension type was predominant. 4.Posteromedial displacement and Holmberg grade III were predominant. 5.The associated injuries were 3 cases of radial nerve palsy and fractures of other regions. 6.Interval from the injury to treatment was within 12 hours in most cases. Seven cases were treated by closed reduction and cast immobilization, 22cases by closed reduction and percutaneous Kirschner wire fixation, and 5cases by open reduction and internal fixation. 7.The functional result rated by Flynn's criteria was as follows : excellent was 10 cases, good 16 cases, fair 5cases and poor 3 cases. 8.Average hospital stay was 4.1 days. 9.Displacd supracondylar fracture of the humerus in children could be best treated with early anatomical reduction and percutaneous cross K-wire fixation. And this method had merits, that is, less complications and short stay in the hospital.
