The purpose of this paper is an improvement of propeller shaft NVH performance for premium passenger car. Propeller shaft in using premium passenger car has a large influence on ride quality, stability and NVH performance. Propeller shaft where is used in the high-class passenger car is characterized by high torque stiffness, light weight and hign quality. It is used generally in SUV and are demanding the matter of NVH performances of the formation passenger car are more important. In this paper, the propeller shaft manufacturing process about weight of the factor which influences to NVH performances and factor between analysis uses 6 sigma techniques and analyzes with to decide the factor which is important influences vehicle NVH performances, under improving high-class passenger car Propeller Shaft NVH performances.

The purpose of this study is an analysis of propeller shaft torque capability in the quick start for heavy duty vehicle. Domestic commercial vehicle market compared to Europe or the United States is considerably smaller scale. Technologies levels of commercial vehicle are also tailored to the domestic market. Particularly, commercial vehicles on the power-train system is insufficient research to prepare for passenger car or SUV. Quick Start test is applied in heavy duty commercial vehicles, the vehicle carrying the maximum load that can be loaded conditions(GVW) instantaneously increasing engine speed from the start more than a certain number of times the test is performed repeatedly. In this study, theoretical calculations of the torque and the actual vehicle delivered under propeller shaft torque measured and compared with theoretical design values for the driveline is to ensure the reliability.

Since the knuckle, a core component for automobile suspension, directly supports the wheel, it needs strength and durability. Studies for improving durability of the knuckle have been done but most of them are focusing on knuckle for hollow type shape. The durability test has been conducted under a driving condition of lateral force mode, braking torque mode and steering input mode by using hydraulic actuator for spindle type steering knuckle of independent suspension applied for commercial vehicles. We’ve also carried out structural analysis and fatigue analysis by utilizing MSC.Patran, MSC.Nastran and MSC.Fatigue in order to compensate for weak parts of the knuckle upon the result of the test.

Main Shaft of Half shaft as a part of drive system of a vehicle, delivers driving force generated from engine to torque by high-speed rotation. and this main shaft is consist of solid shaft which ensures durability. In case of applying tube shaft with friction welding as a method of changing product structure in order to weight lightening, annealing heat treatment process is required for stress relief of welded part to meet the same durability with solid shaft. It comes to the conclusion that it satisfies the durability, hardness equalization and stabilization of metal organization if annealing temperature applies from 450 ℃ to 500 ℃ as a post heat treatment on thermal effect boundary of friction welding.
