        This study deals with the method of human sensibility measurement. Usually, it is difficult to measure exactly human sensibility because of its subtlety and intricacy. At present, Semantic Different (SD) method is most widely used to quantify human sensibility. In the SD method, complicate human sensibility is represented on a scale with equal intervals or equal ratio. However, there is a problem that human sensibility cannot be expressed adequately with that kind of scales because it is not uniform and proportional. Therefore, an alternative method is proposed to overcome this problem. On inspection, the new proposed method proved that the consumers can express their sensibilities on a new scale without any limitation. And, subjects are right intention to it for expressing their sensibility. This method can be widely used effectively not only for evaluating consumer's preference before and after the product development but also for selecting or evaluating the sensibility words.

        This investigation of the religious views of university students was undertaken in August 1971. Four hundrcd students were selected from Kyungpook National University and Yungnam University in Taegu, Korea. Its main objective is to compare the religious views of Korean and Japanese students. Although they showed a notable similarity in many respects those students of the two countries showed a quite different attitude toward religion. Korean students tend to have a more favorable attitude to religion than Japanese students. This difference of religious attitudes might have arisen from the different social and cultural milieu of the two countries.

        The object of this study is to analyse M. Weber's views on Hinduism and Buddhism. In his books, Hinduisumus und Buddhismus and others Weber analysed the structural and mental features of Indian society and concluded that in spite of some favorable conditions to the development of capitalism ritualistic and traditionalistic caste system and world-fleeing religion of India inhibited definitely socioeconomic innovation in the direction of Western capitalism.

      • C.Tilly의 역사사회학적 사회운동모델과 이론적 지향성

        Traditionally, theories that attempt to explain social movement behavior were collective behavior approaches. But the movements of 1960s dramatically challenged these kinds of approaches. That is, resource mobilization theory has recently presented an alternative interpretaion of social movements. This new perspective now occupies a centeral place in social movement theories. Major concerns of this paper are to analyze C. Tilly's mobilization model of social movement which is one of these perspectives and review his theoretical orientations. In order to pursue these concerns, this paper has been divided what follow into five sections:Ⅰ. Preface, Ⅱ. The components of social movements, Ⅲ. Mobilization model, Ⅳ. C. Tilly's theoretical orientations, Ⅴ. Conclusions. Tilly has summed up the findings of his diverse test and more general historical investigations under the rubric of the "mobilization model". The elements of the model are organization, interest, represion, power,opportunity, and collective action. According to the model, the main determainants of a group's mobiliation are its organization, its interest in possible interactions with other contenders, the current opportunity for such interactions, and the group's subjection to repression. The extend of a contender's collective action is a product of its power, its mobilization, and the current opportunities and threats confronting its interests. The dominant parts of the model are mobilizaion, collective action, and opportunity. These three elements have been the focus of Tilly's historical research. In another side, what are Tilly's stheoretical orientations? That will be the general attitude of the analyses to follow: doggedly anti-Durkheimian, resolutely pro-Marxian, but sometimes indulgent to Weber and sometimes reliant on Mill.

        The term charisma and its derivatives, introduced into sociology in the early twenties by Max Weber, has lately been spreading into the social sciences here and abroad. M. Weber's observation on charisma led to reflection on the significance of charisma in the modern world. However there has been confusion in the use of term because of disagreement concerning its meaning and application. The present paper tries to present (1) an examination of Weber's contribution (2) an analysis and critical evaluation of the critical writers, including Bendix, Friedrich, Ratnam, Friedland, Shils, Roth, Gerth, Schlesinger, and Berger, and (3) a final reformulation of the concept and evaluation of its application.

      • 家族計劃에 關한 宗敎人의 態度

        This paper tries to pin down the differences of attitude toward family planning between catholic father and protestant minister intending to contribute a supplementary data for further study. It would be challenging to compare atittude toward family p1anning between priest and believers. 185 fathers and 111 ministers were selected for interviewing. Our tentative finding is that protestant ministers are more favorable toward family planning than catholic fathers in terms of the ideal number of children, adoption and the age of passing time for children etc.

        In his Ancient Judaism M. Weber set out to explain the ethics precursive to the protestant ethic which might be found within Ancient Judaism. Besides the hostility to magic, or disenchantment of the magical view, these include: a collective religious discipline; a "frozen" eschatology; and the need to create or establish one's personal identity as an heir to the devine blessings. In contrast to the Protestant ethic, however, which is responsible for the development of the modern industrial capitalism Ancient Judaism formed a basis for the development of paria-capitalism which is sharply differentiated from the modern industrial capitalism because of the ethical dualism of the paria-people.

      • 韓國 新興工業團地의 人口移動및 生活適應에 關한 硏究 : 龜尾工業團地를 中心으로

        The writers intended to analyse population mobility and life adaptability of in-migrants and natives in the Gumi Industrial Complex. The area of which is under rapid change compared with those of other big cities due to planned industrialization. The study was focused on life adaptability. Life adaptability, we define, as the in-migrant's and native's ability to adapt themselves to the changed social setting. Our tentative findings are as follows: (1) Different from urbanization of other big cites, the economic pulling factor may be the most important factor of population mobility in the Gumi Industrial Complex. (2) Similar to big cities many of inmigrants to the Gumi Industrial Complex are from rural areas but the rate of in-migration from urban area is higher than that of the big cities. (3) About 90% of in-migrants brought their families. (4) More than half of the in-migrants have had non-agricultural occupations. (5) The upper ladder of the occupational hierarchy is occupied by the in-migrants. (6) The in-migrants are more urban oriented and adaptable to new social settings than the natives.

      • E. Durkheim의 宗敎論

        This paper tries to investigate the foundation and function of religion with reference to Emile Durkheim's various essays including "the elementary forms of the religious life." Durkheim selected the Arunta, an Australian tribe for his intensive study. He took totemism as prevailing in the Arunta as the simplist form of religion. Totem is a symbol of both the sacred totemic principle and of the group. Religious ideas and practices symbolize the social group. The substantial function of religion is the creation, reinforcement, and maintenance of social solidarity.
