In this paper, we popose a linear approximation method for determining a relative position and orientation of a camera with respect to a world coordinate system. A point, whose position with respect to the coordinate system is known, is projected to a virtual image plane without any discretization errors. A new camera position and orientation is linearly approximated to the value minimizing the difference between the position of the projected point and the position of its corresponding point on a real image plane. A lot of known points is used for the reduction of approximation errors. It is shown that the camera position and orientation can be estimated more accurately by this method than by other two methods: the one uses the cosine law and the other Kalman filter.

In this paper, we propose a 3D object recognition system taking out object regions in projected images of the 3D object cut from the top to the bottom at an equal space and reconstructing their corresponding 3D object by piling up the regions. The regions are separated by convoluting the images with their corresponding binary mask images created by edge detection. In general, the orientation and the position of the regions in adjacent images are different respectively. One is considered as a model image and the other an object image. After the translation and the rotation between them are calculated by Hough transformation and Fourier transformation, the 3D object is reconstructed by accumulating the adjusted images. A rotated object at an arbitrary angle is obtained by the ray tracing technique. The three sections of the object at an arbitrary position and three sides of the object are displayed on a monitor. The system will take effect of medical students anatomy lessons.

In this paper, polynomials through which each magnitude of the primitives of a polyhedron can be computed from their images are derived by Wu's theorem proving method. The relations between the vortices of a polyhedra and their projected images are expressed in polynomials. Each magnitude of the angles in 3-D space and in the image plane is described into a variable of a polynomial, respectively. A conjecture of the variable is selected among them. The others constitute a hypothesis set. Applying Wu's method to the proposition yields an equation of the variable. The magnitude is calculated in relative stability and accurately by it. Equivalent procedures are applied to the other segments and same conclusions are obtained.

This paper proposes a contents development model which can be used as a reference model to develop cyber classes using multimedia techniques in web environment. Until now, most wev-based cyber classes have been developed using passive media such as text, Image, sound and video, and thus failed to induce interactivity and active participation from users The proposed contents development model is considered of interactive contents, excutabel contents, process contents, animation contents, reference contents, and media-oriented contents This model can be used as a guideline to develop web-based cyber classes which fully exploit the advantages of up-to-date internet and multimedia techniques A Compuer Graphics Cyber Class case is shown to explain how to apply the contents development and implementation model
