        백제(百濟)의 대목악군(大木岳郡) 설치(設置) 배경(背景)과 그 성격(性格) -천안(天安) 용원리(龍院里) 세력(勢力)을 중심으로-

        본고는 백제 천안 동남부 일대에 설치된 대목악군에 관하여 문헌 자료와 함께 용원리 유적을 비롯한 고고자료의 검토까지 지역사적 관점으로 살펴본 것이다. 먼저 천안 동남부 일대의 마한~백제 유적인 장산리 유적, 대화리·신풍리 유적, 운전리 유적, 신풍리 유적, 화성리 유적, 용원리 유적을 검토하였다. 이들은 5km 이내의 거리에 위치하며, 마한의 재지적 속성을 공유하거나 유적의 입지 조건이 비슷하다. 그러나 하천분수계를 따라 형성된 자연지리적 경계를 토대로 각각의 생활기반이 다르며, 묘제 및 위세품의 차이는 보다 우월한 용원리 세력의 한성기 부상의 결과를 가져왔음을 알 수 있었다. 다음으로는 한성기 용원리 세력의 부상 원인을 살펴보았다. 용원리 세력은 내륙교통로를 통해 거점과 거점을 연결하는 데 있어서 매우 유리한 입지를 갖추고 있었다. 또한 교통로 외에도 용원리 세력이 갖춘 재지적 기반에 대해 살펴보았다. 목천읍 일대의 철 관련 지명이나 산방천 주위의 철에 대한 기록, 용원리 유적에서 확인된 3기의 백탄요와 수리권을 상징하는 살포 등은 용원리 세력의 재지적 기반으로 볼 수 있다. 용원리 유적에서 출토된 마구류와 용봉문 환두대도를 통해 용원리 세력의 군사적 성격을 엿볼 수 있다. 마지막으로 백제의 방·군·성체제 하에 천안 동남부 일대에 설치된 대목악군에 대하여 살펴보았다. 백제는 한성기 용원리 세력을 거점 지배하던 방식에서 벗어나 웅진·사비기를 거치며 직접지배체제로 변화하였다. 이에 백제는 용원리 세력의 재지적 기반이 갖추어져 있던 천안 동남부 일대를 활용하고자 하는 측면에서 대목악군을 설치하였을 가능성이 있다. 백제의 남천 이후, 대목악군은 백제의 북방 경계에 해당하였으며, 백제는 천안 동남부 일대에 북방 영역 방어를 위한 군사적 성격의 대목악군을 설치한 것으로 보인다. This study investigates Daemokak-gun installed in the whole area of southeastern Cheonan during the Baekje period, reviewing archeological materials, including Yongwon-ri relics with literature materials from the perspective of regional history. First, this study reviews the relics in the whole area of southeastern Cheonan from the Mahan period through to the Baekje period, including Jangsan-ri relics, Daehwa-ri·Sinpung-ri relics, Wunjeon-ri relics, Sinpung-ri relics, Hwaseong-ri relics, Yongwon-ri relics. They are located within 5km and share Mahan's intellectual property or have similar site conditions. However, each living base is different based on the natural geographic boundary formed along the river fountain system, and it can be seen that the difference between the graveyard and the prestige goods has resulted in the rise of the Hanseong period of the superior Yongwon-ri ruins. Next, this study investigates the reasons for the rise of Yongwon-ri force in the Hanseong period. The Yongwon-ri forces had a very favorable position in connecting the stronghold to the stronghold through inland transportation. This was in line with the interest of expanding the territory of Baekje. And in addition to traffic routes, looked at foundation of the Yongwon-ri forces. This intrinsic base became a driving force by which Yongwon-ri forces held the lead over other forces. Iron-related regional names around Mokcheon-eup, records of iron around the Sanbangcheon stream, white-charcoal kilns found in the ruins of Yongwon-ri and Salpos symbolizing water right can be considered as geographical foundation of Yongwon-ri forces. Harnessry and Hwandudaedo excavated from the ruins of Yongwon-ri reveals a glimpse of military character of the Yongwon-ri forces. Lastly, this study investigated Daemokak-gun established in the southeastern part of Cheonan under Baekje's governing system of Bang, Gun and Sung. It is deemed plausible that Baekje established the Daemokak-gun in its efforts of trying to utilize the southeastern parts of Cheonan where geographical foundation of Yongwon-ri was laid as it changed from the method of focused-control over Yongwon-ri forces of Hansung period into a direct governance system through Woongjin-Sabi period. Especially, investigation on the relationship between guns and hyuns of Baekje after the capital relocation of Baekje reveals that Daemokak-gun was the northern boundary of Baekje. Therefore, this study concludes that Baekje established Daemokak-gun in southeastern part of Cheonan with the purpose of military defense of its northern border.

        가정법을 배우는 시간 : The History Boys

        Renowned for the recent success of The Madness of King George Ⅲ, Alan Bennett now probes the familiar world of a school in The History Boys. It is set in the Thatcherian northern England, concerning eight 6th formers in an imaginary grammar school who are preparing entrance exams for Cambridge or Oxford. Many authors before him have used various educational institutions as topoi of their works, but Bennett’s play is second to none because it explores both the nasty and magnificent aspects in education. It also conveys the sense of the historical England in 1980s, and ultimately, of the history itself. Mainly focusing on the relationship between students and teachers, Bennett explores the relationship between the presentation and self-presentation, the perspectives on education, history, literature, and world, and above all, the boys’ winning through all the experiences. Irwin, a new history teacher hired specially for the exam, imposes on the students the importance of presenting themselves successfully to pass the exam. On the other hand, obese queer Hector teaches practically everything just for the knowledge itself. Bennett poses the subjunctive mood as an axis in the middle of this somewhat D?j? vu drama, and probes many possible alternatives of the incidents happened, happening, and to happen. Sometimes as a tool of strategy to show oneself off, others to assess more probabilities and uniqueness of each incident, the subjunctive mood works as a protean correlative of literary imagination in Bennett Land--the world full of irony with sympathy and criticism.

        드라마를 체험하는 시간

        Genreral English programs in colleges have been forced to be a Practical English classes on demand: "demand" for future careers in academic or business field, or for improving test taking skills in TOEIC, TOEFL or TEPS. General English, however, shoud bel an important part in liberal education in colleges, adn as such, it should contribute to build the students' liberal imagination and creativity."English through Drama" classes can be stimulating to students'creativity while meeting the practical need. Even though drama techniques have long been favorite in EFL classrooms, they are mainly regarded as effective skills to facilitate students's language acquisition. Teaching "English through Drama" as and advanced English class in CEP (College English Program at SNU) showed me a way to overcome the binary opposition between languase/literature learning. In the class students should analyse contemporary 10- minute plays on their own terms and "physicalize" their reading. They also gladly paricipate in writing their own 5-minute play and presend the show in front of peer aduiednce as a final project. Drama techniques have been used as important tools in EFL classrooms, best fit for communicative approach, but they are used the other way round; through "English through drama" classes, drama could be used for enhancing students analytic performance, thus illustraiting an useful option for incorporating the practical curriculum into a cooperative and performative, and humanistic one.

        포아풀아과(Pooideae subfamily)의 진화와 육종: 맥류 중심의 고찰

        Grasses (Poaceae) belong to the biggest plant family among angiosperms and it cover around 20% of the earth's surface. The members of this family are mostly utilized as food resources by humans and animals but they are also valuable in terms of evolution and ecology. The member of the subfamily Pooideae represents, temperate grasses, and includes a number of economically important crops and belongs to the clade BOP (including the subfamilies Bambooideae, Oryzeae, and Pooideae). This subfamily is the largest among all grass families. The special features of this subfamily are cold acclimation and vernalization. The members of Pooideae subfamily with the aforementioned special features are thought to have evolved in the Cenozoic era when the temperature on earth started to cool down, which triggered the diversification of this subfamily through adaptation to cold weather. The agricultural origin of wheat, barley, oat, and rye is attributed to fertile crescent and thereafter they were domesticated through Neolithic evolution. The history of domestication of each Pooideae crop is distinct and is based on their purpose. Recently, breeding of these crops is performed differently due to the development of new technologies such as genomics and genome editing. This review article summarizes the evolutionary history of the members of the subfamily Pooideae and use of pre-existing information for future breeding efforts.
