A Post processing program has been developed for AUTODYN7(AUTOmobile DYNamics is G7),which is a special program for vehicle dynamics. Object oriented graphic library called Open Inventor has been employed to develop the program in Silicon Graphics Worstation. For the realistic animation, this program can import 3D solid geometry from 3D CAD program Pro/Engineer. Sevral animator viewing utilities are provided such as eye following, multiview etc. As a vehicle specific post processor, standard vehicle test simulation results can be displayed with simple button operation through Graphic User Interface.<br/>

Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC) is one of key features of Intelligent Transportation System(ITS). In ACC, the steering is done by a driver, but the engine throttle valve and the brake are controlled electronically. The relative velocity and distance from the preceeding vehicle are measured by radars or image processing units and relevant vehicular spacing is maintained in ACC control systems. In this study, vehicle longitudinal dynamics are modeled to simulate vehicle longitudinal maneuver and to design longitudinal controllers for ACC vehicles. The control algorithm is designed based on the modeled vehicle longitudinal dynamics using a non-linear sliding mode control method. To verify the performance of the control algorithm, a real time numerical simulation program is developed on a Silicon Graphics workstation using C-language. A real time graphic program is also developed and integrated with the numerical simulation program.<br/>

An integrated software environment has been developed for the virtual vehicle test simulation using AUT0DYN7, by connecting following programs; i.e., a graphical vehicle modeling program, a driver module for virtual test, AUTODYN7 vehicle dynamics module, a vehicle animation program and x-y plotting program for the evaluation of vehicle handling performance. UNIX multitasking feature has been used for concurrent execution of the integrated programs. The graphic user interface of the integrated software provides a user friendly menu system for the virtual testing. Through this integrated software environment, standard vehicle test simulations have been carried out effectively and efficiently.<br/>

A Graphic User Interface Program has been developed for AUTODYN7, which is a special program for vehicle dynamics. The RapidApp for GUI(Graphic User Interface) builder and the Open Inventor for 3D graphic library have been employed to develop this program in Silicon Graphics workstation. The program integrates vehicle modeling processor, AUTODYN7 analysis processor, and visualization processor. In modeling processor, users can provide vehicle hard point data for a suspension model, then these data are automatically converted to multibody vehicle system data. This graphic user interface program guides users to model a vehicle system easily with menu windows and helps users to carry out modeling, analysis, and visual evaluation systematically.

A vehicle modeling processor for AUT0DYN7 (which is dynamic analysis program for vehicle system) has been developed with 3D graphics. In order to reduce mistakes on the error prone modeling procedure, an automatic data transfer capability from CAD data to multibody vehicle data and an interactive graphics capability have been also developed. An assembled 3D suspension graphic image is promptly changed and displayed, whenever users' suspension hard point input data are changed. With aid of the interactive graphics capability, more reliable and convenient vehicle modeling procedure has been achieved.<br/>

This experiment clarify the change of cell foaming rate for foaming time and the change of sound absorption & transmission for foaming rate.
