      • Noverre의 舞踊論(I)

        Considering that there were no systematic records on the way of expression in a dance until quite recently, "Letters sur la Danse et les Ballet" written by Jean Georges Noverre has turned out to be an authoritative book which we cannot dispense with in studying a dance. It is an essay in an epistolary style in which the author wrote to an imaginary person and it discourses upon many fundamental problems on dancing. In this thesis, however, it is almost impossible to analyze at a time so many theories considered as the guiding principles of a lesson in ballet. And therefore his career has at first been studied, and then the origin, the periodic background and the forms of dancing have been analyzed from a present standpoint. This helps to understand the whole field of ballet in those days, and accordingly it is believed that the development process and reformation theory of ballet are unavoidable as far as the whole trend of art is concerned.

      • "Noverre와 Duncan의 舞踊改革論 比較"

        It is true that there has appeared and disappeared many kinds of dancings. However, the ballet has played a role as the standard in the dancing, with respect to the pattern over all periods, which was completed by Noverre. In addition, Duncan attempted to accomplish a new dancing on the basis of the ballet. The purpose of this study is to find out the universality of artistic characteristics, by understanding why Noverre completed the ballet, while Duncan attempted to be free from the ballet. Because these two reformers play an important role in the dancing history, moreover, it should be possible to understand the real recent times by finding out the universality of their art.

        Because the dancing history is mainly composed of Ballet history, it is very important to examine in details the theory of Noverre. In addition, studying on his theory implies examination into trend and form of contemporary dancing art as a whole since he reformed the Ballet form and Ballet daction. Moreover, it seems that his reformation was an essential course because the trend related to the period, generation and individual has effect each other from the standoint of artistic history trend. As shown in the Dancing Theory(Ⅰ), his theory is so wide that it is impossible to analyse all his theory. As a result, this study(2) is carried out, centering around his instructions to dancers and his human relations concerning maitre de Ballet. Other studies including Pantomine and Mask will be suggested in the next study(3).

      • Diaghilev의 발레的 意味

        Diaghilev has been represented and integrated by general public. In addition, he made the world shudder and indignant by means of dancing. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine his importance in the ballet history as the results of special period when two rockets on their different way aim toward the same target, which are composed of Diaghilev results in Ballet Russe and general public liking and supporting him positively. The reason is that historically dancing has been only culture of each period, while it has been combined with convenction of "Expression of Period" which should be called the religious phenomenon of general public.

      • 발레 基礎의 原理와 그 方法에 關한 硏究

        It is very doubtful that how many people recognize ballet part correctly, and among specialists how many have true information about ballet now in Korea. The reason is that the history of ballet is very short, there is no academic school in which students can major in ballet and no mature conditions for specializing ballet. Therefor, there are many technique and performance difficulties. Considering this conditions in this paper there's no comment on ballet interpretations and history. Technique interpretations and way among technique problems are mainly mentioned on the basis of principles of a cross and archetype. This attitude is a mental state of ballet technique and a model of principle norms. More over, this will be a necessary subject and process for persons who train ballet techniques.

      • Noverre의 舞踊論(3) : Mask의 排擊에 對하여

        The rejection of mask means that the natural face of a human being is more dynamic insistence than one of the speech, which allowed Gaetano Vestris as a male dancer to firstly appear on the stage in 1770. This fact caused a great change in ballet that resulted in a scandle. Nevertheless, this case came to the natural result of the dancing which caused the effect of expression beating the breast. As a result, it was also possible to improve the level of the dancing at that time to the level which was same as the painting or poem. However, Noverre's great contribution to the mask rejection has been not described in history at all. Of course, it is required to examine this contribution, by considering several factors such as the period, generation and individual. This study is to analyse Noverre's theories relating to the use of mask for ballet and its prohibition, centering around the basic culture of mask, in order to easily understand the rejection of mask.

      • 夜間部學生들의 疲勞症狀과 體育授業의 效用性에 關한 考察 : 女子高校生을 中心으로 Centered on the Girls' High School Students

        In order to find out the fatigue situations of evening students and the physical training class, we have surveyed and experimented on the 198 exemplary students of evening class attending Sang Seo Girls' High School. And the result of it is as follows: 1. 95% of students have the fatigue symptoms, and most of them have got the mental and nervous sensitive fatigue rather than physical one. 2. The cause of fatigue comes from the lacking of sleep. 3. For the sake of quick recovery from fatigue, the classes of physical education, finf art, and music are far better to be taught at the beginning class. 4. It is recommended that the joyful and interesting contents of text book are to be taught at physical education class. 5. We feel that the physical training classes are needed more to be put in the schedule. In conclusion, the efficiency of physical training class for evening girls high school students seems to be great. This result can be felt true by students themselves. Accordingly, it is highly recommended that the more minute plan and schedule as well as management on physical education are necessary to be considered for the sake of their situations and demands.

      • 慶大 女學生의 頭身에 對하여 : 一學年을 中心으로

        The following conclusion has been obtained as the result of analystic survey on the head body for the physique (stature, sitting height, length of lower limb, and head height) of girl students (1st year) of this school with measure worth that has been measured until now. 1. The average stature of girl students of this school is 157.74cm, which is about 0.64cm taller than national average (1975). 2. The average sitting height is 84.45cm, which is about 0.28 cm shorter than national average (1975). 3. The length of lower limb is average 72.475cm. 4. The head length is average 21.309cm. 5. The length of head body is 7.049 for girl students of this school, while it is 9.8 for Japanese college students, and it is 7.3 for French women. 6.       • 體育學習에 對한 認知構造에 關한 調査分析 : 本 大學校 女學生들을 中心으로

        This study analysed the students' consciousness in leanrning physical education by means of the students responded to the given inquiry, which is shown on Table 1. The results obtained can be summarized as follows: the structure of consciousness of the students in learning physical education shows a clear sense of purporse; their inclination to the interest and learning attitude are sound and encouraging; they count much of the achievements though there were some difference among the grades; they showed desirable response to the school hours and even clearly presented their hope for the leisure; their requests are greatly various, pocing problem soon almost the whole fields physical education should aim at. In brief, the structure of consciousness of the students are very sound and reasonable and their inclination is considerably progressive. Here we are sure that the original missions of physical education can be fulfilled if they are offered the rational opportunities of learning, the human and material conditions with proper measures of the school authority accompanied.
