      • 미국영어 문법의 특성

申吉淳 한국영어교육연구학회 2002 영어교육연구 Vol.- No.24

Language always changes. And English is also not an exception. English in America shows a very much differences ever since English began to move to North America. At present it is natural that there are many differences between British and American English in spelling, pronunciation, and grammar. In this study, a specific character of American English is observed, but confined to Americanism in grammar. Although English in the United States is called as American English, it is not a social but a regional dialect of English. It means that the Standard American does not base on the language of its social class but on that of its region. Of course many differences in grammar are found between two languages, but they can be easily understood, for the books published in both sides are widely read and moreover many informations are exchanged in every moment through the Internet among the people between the ocean. Eventually the differences in two languages are overcome easily, and naturally understood as dialects of the same language.

申吉淳 한국영어교육연구학회 2000 영어교육연구 Vol.- No.20

As Baugh indicates, a language always changes. When a language ceases to change, it is a dead language as Classical Latin. English in America also has begun to change, ever since 17th century when Englishmen began to move to the New World. It is natural that there are many differences between British and American English in meaning, spelling, pronunciation, and grammatical forms. But as Menchen shows, American English is also one of many English dialects. Comparing to British English, American Standard does not base on the language of a specific social class, there exist not many regional dialects, and there is an abundant of slang expression in American English. In this study a specific character of American English is observed, but this study is confined to the pronunciation. English in America differs little from English in Britain. Nevertheless we concern more to American English than British English, that is because the United States is not only in the leading position in the international politics, economics, science, and military affairs, but also we have a close relation with US. In that respect this study is attempted.

성인의 심리적 특성과 인터넷 중독과의 관계

        신길순,구자경 한국상담학회 2005 상담학연구 Vol.6 No.4

The purpose of this study is examining the effects of psychological traits, gender and age on the level of adult internet addiction. For the study 377 adult male and female subjects have been examined, and the findings of the study are as the following: First, female subjects had a less tendency to be addicted than male subjects. However, age did not affect addiction level significantly. Second, the results of ANOVA showed that the subjects with lower self-esteem, lower self-control and more exposure to stress and impulse are more likely to be addicted to the internet. It is intriguing to find that married couples with lower intimacy showed higher tendency toward addiction. Those results have been reconfirmed with a logistic regression method.
