G.A. Burdick에 의해서 얻어진 3차원적인 Emergy Band를 (001)방향으로 2차원적으로 사영된 Energy Band를 얻었다. 이 2차원적인 Energy band로부터 표면현상의 출현가능성을 살폈고, 이것과 33원자층의 구리박막에 대한 계산결과와 비교해 보았다. We have obtained the projected 2D Energy Bands from 3D Energy Bands which were calculated by G.A. Burdick, investigated the possibilities of surface states, and compared with the results of 33 atomic layer of (001)copper thin film.
천이금속 표면에서의 수소 흡입의 동력학 : 수소흡착, 방출과 확산에 관하여

천이금속(Nb) 표면에 수소의 두 상태는 R.J. Smith에 의해 암시되어 왔다. 우리는 이것을 받아들여 천이금속 표면에 두 개의 상태를 가정하여 몇 개의 경우의 potential barrier에 관해 charging과 degassing 조건하에서 수소원자의 fraction의 시간에 대한 변화율을 얻었다. 그리고 수소의 표면 fraction θ에 대해 온도와 log(θ/1-θ)의 비와 peak amplitude를 구하여 R.J. Smith팀의 실험결과와 비교했으며 그것을 이용해서 온도에 관한 desorption rate를 얻었다. It was known by R.J. Smith that there are two kinds of surface states on transition metal(Nb) surfaces. Furthermore for all metals desorption energy is larger than the solution energy. Here we present a model for hydrogen absorption of metal surfaces and then obtained the time rates of hydrogen charging and degassing on metal surfaces for few limiting cases. We also get log(θ/1-θ) versus the reciprocal temperature and peak amplitude of surface fraction versus the temperature, turned out to be good agreement with experiments. Finally we get the desorption fraction of hydrogen atom.

Depending on structure and electronic resonances the second-order non-linear susceptibility Χ^(2) is usually measured by second-harmonic generation. The macroscopic non-linear optical susceptibility Χ^(2) for a system of partially oriented molecules is written as the ensemble average of molecular hyperpolarizability tensor β. The orientational distribution of these molecules is described by a probability function expanded in Wigner matrices. It confirmed that Χ^(2) has seven non-vanishing conponents for a rotationally invariant system. For a molecule with C_2υ we compared average orientation angle of sum-frequency generation with of SHG, determined elements β_zzz β_xzx of the dominant molecular tensor components and caculated average orientation angle.

G. A. Burdick에 의해서 계산된 3차원적인 Energy Band를 (110)방향으로 투사하여 2차원 Energy Band를 얻었다. 이 2차원 Energy Band와 47원자층의 (110)구리에 대한 계산 결과와 비교하여 표면상태의 생성가능성을 보고 이를 표면상태가 Tamm표면 상태라는 것을 확정했다. We have obtained the (110) propected 2D Enegy Bands from 3D Energy Bands which were calculated by G. A. Burdick. Comparing the results with those of calculations for 47 layer (110) copper thin film, we induce the possibility of surface state and identify the surface states.
단일 band 모델에서의 Wannier-Stark Localization?

From recent paper by Emin and Hart and comment by Kleinman we solved the error in their paper, and proved the existence of Wannier-Stark localization for one band model, using the determinant of coefficients. This Wannier-Stark localization is affected by different wave vector.

Thigt binding calculations for (100)M_o slab, which has 33 atomic layers, were performed. Fitting the bulk energy bands calculated by Irene Petroff et al., 34 Hamiltonian matrix parameters are obtained, which are quite different from the Bertoni's. We can reproduce the bulk energy bands as well as those of high symmetry points. Calculating the energy bands, local and total densities of states for 33 atomic layers, surface electronic structure are investigated.
경입자의 New Weak Isospin : The New Weak Isospin to the lepton

Considering the Weak Isospin Model proposed by V. De Santis (1964) which is that for the Weak Interaction based on the conservation of a new quantum number of Weak Isospin I' and of its third component I'_3, the New Weak Isospin for the lepton and photon are redefined. Comparing the computational results of C.G Coefficient with the New Weak Isospin on the various leplonic decay modes of hadron with experimental data, the New Weak Isospin was checked up and obtained better results than V.De S, results. Furthermore the possibility of leptonic decay of Ω-particle was exhibited by computing of Clebsch Gordan Coefficient for the leptonic decays of Ω-particle.

By the observation of the decay mode satisfying ⊿S=-⊿Q which shows the relation between the changeness of Strangeness, ⊿S, and that of Charge, ⊿Q, then the generality of ⊿S=⊿Q has been robbed of. Under the assumption of the conservation of the Weak Isospin I' and its third component I'_s in the weak interaction, V. De Santis proposed the Weak Usospin Model which is related to the Charge Q and Weak Isospin I' by Q=1/2Y'+I'_3. In this note, comparing with experimental data, the decay modes which could be described and could not be described by this Isospin Model is specified and checked up.
