이 논문의 목적은 平底外反口綠短頸壺(이하 단경호) 및 小型平底短頸壺(이하 소호)에 관한 編年硏究에 있다. 그러나 지금까지 단경호와 소호의 용어가 뚜렷한 기분이 없이 관행적으로 혼용되어 왔기 때문에, 우선적으로 단경호 및 소호의 계측적 차이를 확인하여 그 기준을 명확히 하고자 한다. 단경호는 계측적 속성 중에 경부비에서, 명목적 속성 중, 구연형태에서 시간적 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 구연형태는 단순히 직립된 구연을 외반시킨 것, 구순부를 다시 외반시킨 것, 구순부 하단을 깎아 파낸 것, 구순부 상부를 파낸 것 등 4가지로 분류할 수 있는데, 이를 기준으로 형식을 설정하고 이와 함께 경부비의 변화를 고려하여 편년을 설정하였다. 소호는 기고 및 동체비를 기준으로 소호와 소형소호로 세분할 수 있었다. 소호의 경우 동부의 단면이 'く'자형인 것, 동최대경이 동체의 1/2이상에 위치하며 동부가 저경에 비해 비교적 돌출된 것, 동최대경이 동체의 1/2전후에 위치하며 완만한 곡선을 이루는 것, 동최대경이 기고의 중앙에 위치하며 구연부가 직립외반한 것 등 총 4개의 형식으로 분류된다. 소형소호는 직립된 구연의 어깨가 발달한 것과 동최대경이 동체부 중앙에 위차하며 동부의 단면이 'く'자형인 것 등 2개의 형식으로 세분할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 단경호의 출현배경과 관련하여 백제의 소호에 대해서도 살펴보았다. 소호(특히 소호1형식)는 기형적으로 낙랑토기와 매우 유사하기 때문에 이러한 소호들이 백제지역에서 제작되는 계기를 문헌사료 및 최근 조사된 낙랑관련 유적 등을 통해 살펴본 결과 소호의 확산과정이 원삼국시대 이후 한성백제까지 5단계에 걸쳐서 이루어졌음을 상정할 수 있었다. Baekje pots, especially those called 'small size pot with flat shape bottom', are the little interested topic in Baekje pottery researches. The criteria as well as points of view are deficient in analyzing and understanding small pots. The aim of this paper are establishing the criteria for typological and statistical research about Baekje small pots and finding chronological relationship among the various subtypes. With these purposes I'd like to propose the nomenclature based on the names of small Baekje pots produced from statistical analysis and the types from typological analysis. In the result of this research I can find that some archaeological evidences showing that small pots in Baekje had originated from the Lelang pottery culture and furthermore present several corresponding historical data.

This approach is about Samjokgi in Baekje potteries based on typological and statistical methodology. In typological approach I establish archaeological types with assemblage of nominal attributes and examine properties of nominal attributes through statistical approach about quantitative attributes. For establishing archaeological types for each kind of potteries I use over two assemblage of nominal attributes and utilize statistical analysis including Discriminant Analysis, one-way ANOVA, Chi-Square Test. I also try to find the spatiotemporal implication of those potteries in Baekje Kingdom. With those kind of approaches I can study typological and statistical relationship among them and relationship between typological variation and time.
