4-Chlorotetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoxaline (III) was synthesized by azide (2+3) cycloaddition of 2,3-dichloroquinoxaline (II). Compound (III) on further refluxing with hydrazine hydrate furnished 4-hydrazinotetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoxaline (IV). Further refluxing of (IV) with different aromatic aldehydes in methanol yielded corresponding Schiff’s bases V(a-j). Various 4-aminotetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoxaline based azetidinones VII(a-j) were synthesized by stirring the compounds V(a-j), at low temperature, with equimolar mixture of chloroacetylchloride & triethylamine in dry benzene, while 4-aminotetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoxaline based thiazolidinones VIII(a-j) were synthesized by refluxing Schiff’s bases V(a-j) with thioglycolic acid in oil-bath. The structures of all the compounds were confirmed on the basis of ^1H-NMR & FT-IR spectral data. All the newly synthesized compounds were screened for in-vitro antimicrobial activity against E. coli, S. aureus, K. pneumoniae & P. aeruginosa & antifungal activity against C. albicans. Few of them have exhibited the promising activity.
Purely Extending Modules and Their Generalizations
Shiv Kumar,Ashok Ji Gupta 경북대학교 자연과학대학 수학과 2023 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.63 No.1
A purely extending module is a generalization of an extending module. In this paper, we study several properties of purely extending modules and introduce the notion of purely essentially Baer modules. A module M is said to be a purely essentially Baer if the right annihilator in M of any left ideal of the endomorphism ring of M is essential in a pure submodule of M. We study some properties of purely essentially Baer modules and characterize von Neumann regular rings in terms of purely essentially Baer modules.
Ventx1.1 competes with a transcriptional activator Xcad2 to regulate negatively its own expression

Dorsoventral patterning of body axis in vertebrate embryo is tightly controlled by a complex regulatory network of transcription factors. Ventx1.1 is known as a transcriptional repressor to inhibit dorsal mesoderm formation and neural differentiation in Xenopus. In an attempt to identify, using chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP)-Seq, genome-wide binding pattern of Ventx1.1 in Xenopus gastrulae, we observed that Ventx1.1 associates with its own 5’-flanking sequence. In this study, we present evidence that Ventx1.1 binds a cis-acting Ventx1.1 response element (VRE) in its own promoter, leading to repression of its own transcription. Site-directed mutagenesis of the VRE in the Ventx1.1 promoter significantly abrogated this inhibitory autoregulation of Ventx1.1 transcription. Notably, Ventx1.1 and Xcad2, an activator of Ventx1.1 transcription, competitively co-occupied the VRE in the Ventx1.1 promoter. In support of this, mutation of the VRE down-regulated basal and Xcad2-induced levels of Ventx1.1 promoter activity. In addition, overexpression of Ventx1.1 prevented Xcad2 from binding to the Ventx1.1 promoter, and vice versa. Taken together, these results suggest that Ventx1.1 negatively regulates its own transcription in competition with Xcad2, thereby fine-tuning its own expression levels during dorsoventral patterning of Xenopus early embryo. Prosthodontic rehabilitation of a patient with bilateral auricular deformity
Sneha Shivkumar Mantri,Ram U. Thombre,Daigavane Pallavi 대한치과보철학회 2011 The Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics Vol.3 No.2
Maxillofacial prosthodontics is an art and science which provides life like appearance to the person with facial deformity. Maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation for acquired defects has become more complex and sophisticated with advancement in techniques and materials. This case report describes the clinical and laboratory procedure for fabricating an auricular prosthesis for a patient with trauma related bilateral auricular deformity. Ear prosthesis was fabricated in two parts taking retention from external auditory canal.
Employee Expectation to Demonstrate Innovative Work Behaviour in Asia
Veena Jadhav,A. Seetharaman,Shivkumar Rai 한국유통과학회 2017 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.4 No.1
The competitive nature of enterprises requires organizations to foster an environment that encourages employee innovation that leads to profitability and customer satisfaction. Organizational innovation is influenced by several factors with employee behaviour being one of the important factors. Employees contribute in the innovation process and thus, it is important for organizations to understand employee expectations to demonstrate innovative work behaviour in order to create and maintain an innovative work culture. In the present study, a conceptual model based on culture, reward and program, training, compensations, leadership and systems was tested to assess that impact on employee expectations leading to innovative work behaviour. The study was conducted in the context of city-state of Singapore due to its significant emphasis on promoting and nurturing employee innovation. The model was tested using empirical data collected through a survey of employees in Singapore. The results indicate that while culture, rewards and training programs have a direct relationship on employee expectations to demonstrate innovative work behaviour, when considered together, leadership and systems are significantly and positively associated with employee expectations. These factors are usually under the control of organizations and can be enhanced through systematic interventions, thereby providing practice managers an avenue to improve employee innovation behaviour. The other implications of the findings and future scope are discussed.

Background: The aim of our study was to determine the rate and preoperative predictors of intraoperative fracture (IOF) during hip hemiarthroplasty (HA) in patients who have sustained a fragility hip fracture injury. Methods: We reviewed 626 patients who underwent HA at our institution using the National Hip Fracture Database. Various patient- and surgery-related data including demographic information, cement usage, surgeon grade, time to surgery, and operative duration were collected. The metaphyseal diaphyseal index and modified canal bone ratio were measured on preoperative radiographs. We compared patients with and without IOF with respect to all variables collected. Multivariate regression modeling was used to identify significant preoperative risk factors for IOF. Results: There was a 7% incidence of IOF in our cohort exclusively comprising of Vancouver A fractures. The majority of these complications were treated nonoperatively (52%). There was no statistically significant difference with respect to cement usage, surgeon grade, operative duration, time to surgery, and radiographic parameters collected. Increasing age was found to be the most significant preoperative risk factor for predicting IOF (p = 0.024, overall relative risk = 1.06). Conclusions: Our identified predictor of increasing age is nonmodifiable and illustrates the importance of meticulous surgical technique in older patients. Furthermore, its independence from fixation methods or prosthesis design as a predictor of IOF may support using an uncemented prosthesis in patients at risk from cement implantation.

Mulberry silkworm is classified into uni, bi and multivoltine based on the frequency of diapause incidence. The variation in the incidence of diapause in bivoltine silkworm provides a unique opportunity to study the process of evolution of adaptive plasticity towards seasonal variations. The diapause expression in bivoltine silkworm is highly variable and is determined by environmental factors experienced by the maternal generation. Diapause in natural populations is functionally associated with the overwintering mechanism that facilitates survival in harsh winter conditions. In contrast, under standard commercial rearing conditions, the domesticated bivoltine silkworm is known to enter diapause in every generation. This paper presents a short review of the literature dealing with the role of temperature, photoperiod, diapause hormone and its receptor in diapause induction. Also, we briefly review the incidence of non-diapause eggs in bivoltine silkworm under controlled conditions.
