      • Cyclosporin A의 肝毒性에 미치는 右歸飮의 影響

        The purpose of this study is to observe the effect of Woogyuyem on serum reaction and hepatic tissue in Cyclosporin A treated rats. In this study, the experimental rats divided two group(Contro1 group and Sample group). Under the Same condition, both control group and sample group were injected to abdomen with Cyclosporin A for 7days. And then, control group were administered water, sample group were administered Woogy-uyeum for 30days. The change of transaminase and bile acid and SOD activity in blood serum, hepatic tissue were measured at 3rd, 7th, 15th, 30th day. The obtained results are surnmarised as follows : 1. In the change of SGOT contents, as compared with control group, sample group was significantly decreased at 7th and 15th day. 2. In the change of SGPT contents, as compared with control group, sample group was signi�icantly decreased at 15th day. 3. In the change of serum bile acid contents, as compared with control group, sample group was significantly decreased at 7th and 15th day. 4. In the change of serum SOD activity, as compared with control group, sample group was significantly increased at 15th and 30th day. 5. In the change of hepatic tissue, as compared with control group, the vacuolation of hepatocytes in the sample group was reduced, the liver plates were reconstructed, and the epitherial cell wasn't destructed.

      • 調經種玉湯 投與가 女性의 性腺刺戟호르몬 및 性호로몬의 動態에 미치는 影響

        The present study was accomplished to investigate the relation between menstrual cycle and ovulation by studying the fluctuation of FSH, LH, estrogen and progesterone concentration in serum samples of selected senior high school women with normal and delayed menstrual cycles after administration of Jokyungijongoktang which was a widely used herb medicine for controlling abnormal menstrual cycles. The obtained results were summarized as follows : 1. There was a significant increase of FSH concentration in women with delayed menstrual cycles after administration of Jokyungjongoktang during the preovulatory phase. 2. Jokyungiongoktang produced a significant elevation od LH concentration in women with normal and delayed inenstrual cycles, respectively, during the critical interval of ovulation. 3 . Estrogen concentration was significantly decreased in women with delayed menstrual cycles after administration of Jokyungpngoktang during the critical interval of ovulation 4. Peogesterone concentration significantly increase in women with delayed inenstrual cycles after administration of Jokyungjongoktang. respectively, during the postovulatory phase. According to the above results, it can be considered that Jokyungjongoktang rest ore menstruation and pregnancy -related hormones to normal serum levels of women with normal inenstrual

      • Ethanol-유도 위점막손상에 대한 葛花解酊湯의 항산화 효과

        Oxygen radicals are associated with organ injury in a wide spectrum of human disease. Ethanol-induced experimental gastric injury may also involve the generation of oxygen radicals. This Study was carried out to investigate the antioxidant effects of GalHwaHaJungTang(GHT) on the gastric lesions induced by ethanol in rats. Rats were pretreated with GHT extract 1.7㎖/kg, 3.4㎖/kg, 5㎖/kg respectively, 30min prior to exposing the stomach to 100% ethanol. The animals were killed lhr after ethanol treatment. Ethanol treatment increase lipid peroxidation catalase(CAT) levels and decreased superoxide dismutase(SOD), glutathione(GSH). On the other hand pretreatment of GHT extract significantly inhibited ethanol-induced lipid peroxidation and also induced an increase of activity of SOD, CAT and GSH levels. These results suggest that antioxidant activities of GHt are effective in prevent of ethanol-induced gastric lesions formation, and more study are required.

        This study is to know the concept and function of Vital Gate. The results are summarized as follows, 1. Vital Gate is the original of life, which is essential to life. 2. A physiological function if Vital Gate controls the physiological activity of the whole body through Triple Heater. 3. It is said that a partial establishment of Vital Gate is the concept of Hwang jeong(黃庭) as the central point of the body. 4. It is effective that a clinical application of Vital Gate uses on the basis of Zoagyuyeum(左歸飮) and Woogyuyeym(右歸陰). 5. Fire of the Vital Gate means a original activity of life-activity and is different from the concept of the fire of Pericardium as a substitute for King Fire. 6. It is said that to explain the essence of Vital Gate in relation of kidney is to say the generative function. According to the above results, Vital Gate is understood as the control of physiological activity of the whole body as the original point of life-activity.

      • 腎臟生理의 유기적 통일성과 그 病候에 관한 고찰

        한의학은 유기체의 관점에서 생체기능의 통일성을 중요시하고 있다. 생체기능의 유기적 통일성은 氣運과 이치로 인식되며, 經絡은 氣血의 매개를 통하여 臟腑·조직·기관의 사이를 밀접하게 연계하여 유기체에 대한 生理·病理의 보다 완전한 인식과 辨證論治의 이론적 근거를 제공하고 있다. 이러한 학문적 배경에 근거하여 腎臟생리의 유기성과 그 病候를 經氣의 交通을 중심으로 고찰하였다. 足少陰腎經의 經氣交通은 腎臟과 肝·肺·心·膀胱 및 喉??·舌本·胸部·足心·股內後廉·腰의 形體 組織과 밀접한 관계를 구축하여 協助·統一의 생리를 발휘하고, 병리적으로 腎臟의 病變·病候에 대한 유기적 인식을 가능케 한다. 따라서 腎臟과 그 經絡의 동시적 인식은 한의학의 이론과 임상의 실재에 부합되는 辨證論治의 관건이 된다고 思料된다. This paper documents a holistic study of the kidney and its symptom. To this end, the relationship between internal organs and its diseases have been studied from the viewpoint of the connecting role of the kidney channel of foot-shaoyin. The results of this study are as follows ; The function of the kidney has specific relations with the liver, lung, heart, urinary bladder, throat, tongue, chest, sole of the foot, inside of the thigh and waist. These mutual relations reflect the pathological changes of the kidney. So physiological function and symptom of the kidney can be better understood through the connecting role of the kidney channel of foot-shaoyin on the concept of the organism as a whole. This is the key· of the clinical treatment based on the precepts of oriental medicine.

        내피세포 Nitric Oxide 유리를 통한 산사의 혈관이완 작용

        It had been known for a while that Crataegi Fructus(CF; Crataegus pinnatifida Bunge) had only a digestive effect. Recently, it has been demonstrated that CF also has an ant-hypertensive effect. However, its mechanism of relaxant effect has not been investigated yet This study was examined to investigate the mechanism of vascular relaxation effect of CF in isolated rat thoracic aorta. CF revealed significant relaxation to phenylephrine(PE)-induced arterial contraction but much less to KCI-induced one. When CF was pretreated, it inhibited PE-induced contraction non-competitively. Methylene blue(10^(-6)M) completely blocked the relaxant effect of CF whereas L-NAME(10^(-5)M) did almost completely. However, atropine(10^(-6)M) did not have any influence on vascular relaxation effect of CF. Regarding cNOS activity, CF significantly increased its activity from rat whole brain homogenate in a dose dependent manner which was inhibited by L-NAME(10^(-5)M). On the other hand, CF did not affect on expression of TNF-α mRNA in RAW 264.7 calls, suggesting that CF is not related to iNOS activity. These results indicate that CF would be effective in relaxing vascular contraction through release of endothelial nitric oxide.

        산사 Butanol 분획이 PGF2α-유도 혈관평활근수축의 억제에 미치는 신호전달 연구

        The mary mechanism of smooth muscle contraction is phosphorylation of the 20 kDa myosin light chains(LC20) by a myosin light. chain kinase(MLCK). Relaxation, then, is generally the result of dephosphorylation of LC20 by myosin phosphatase(MP). Changes in MP activity is one of the important mechanisms in the regulation of Ca2^+-sensitivity. Inhibition of MP activity is linked to an increase in phosphorylated myosin light chain(MLC) without an increase in [Ca^(2+)]i-levels. It is now generally accepted that Rho-kinase phosphorylates 130 kDa regulatory and myosin binding subunits(M130, MYPT) of MP, which results in an inhibition of MP activity. In addition Rho-kinase can also directly phosphorylate MLC. In the present study, LC20 phosphorylation and MP subunits translocation to the cell membrane were investigated in freshly isolated ferret portal vein smooth muscle single cells treated with PGF2α. We also examined the effect of Y27632(10-5mol/L), Rho-kinase inhibitor, in the MP subunits localization to compare with butanol fraction of Fructus Crataegi in its effect. Butanol fraction of Fructus Crataegi(BFFC; 1 mg/ml) was more effective in PGF2 α induced contraction than those of phenylephrine in its vasodilation effect. It significantly(P<0.05) dephosphorylated the LC20 at time indicated. In addition, the dissociation of subunits are inhibited by BFCF treatment. The results indicate that, in the smooth muscle cells, the relaxation effect of BFFC is associated with increase of MP activity based on inhibition of dissociation of the catalytic and targeting subunits of the phosphatase, and thus decrease the sensitivity of LC20 phosphorylation for Ca^(2+)

      • 化痰·止咳平喘藥이 Acetylcholine에 의한 흰쥐의 氣管支平滑筋의 收縮에 미치는 影響

        This study was performed to analyze the effects of WhoaDam-jiHae PyeougChunYak on contracted tracheal smooth muscle in rat. Transverse strips were used for the experiment using organ bath. The test strip was perfused with modified Krebs-Ringer Bicarbonate solution which was aerated with 95% O₂- 5% CO₂ mixed gas and kept at 37℃. WhoaDam-jiHae PyeougChunYak extract and acetylcholine infused tracheal strip that was contracted with acetylcholine. The results were as follows ; 1. The contractile force of tracheal strip by acetylcholine was significantly increased by Pinelliae Rhizoma, Arisaematis Rhizoma, Sinapis Semen, Typhonii Rhizoma, Peucedani Radix, Eriobotryae Folium, Platicodi Radix, Bambusae Caulis Taeniam, Benincasae Semen, Armeniacae Amarum Semen, Asteris Radix, Perillae Fructus, Mori cortex and Lepidii Semen. 2. Arisaematis Rhizoma(1㎕/㎖, 3㎕/㎖, 10㎕/㎖) and Asteris Radix(1㎕/㎖, 3㎕/㎖) slightly relaxed the contracted tracheal strip by acetylcholine. 3. Farfarae Flos significantly relaxed the contracted tracheal strip by acetylcholine. 4. The contractile force of tracheal srtip by acetylcholine was significantly increased by Stemonae Radix at 30㎕/㎖, on the other hand Stemonae Radix 100㎕/㎖ significantly relaxed the contracted tracheal strip by acetylcholine.
