        Relationship between cortical bone thickness and implant stability at the time of surgery and secondary stability after osseointegration measured using resonance frequency analysis

        Purpose: It has been suggested that resonance frequency analysis (RFA) can measure changes in the stability of dental implants during osseointegration. This retrospective study aimed to evaluate dental implant stability at the time of surgery (primary stability; PS) and secondary stability (SS) after ossseointegration using RFA, and to investigate the relationship between implant stability and cortical bone thickness. Methods: In total, 113 patients who attended the Tohoku University Hospital Dental Implant Center were included in this study. A total of 229 implants were placed in either the mandibular region (n=118) or the maxilla region (n=111), with bone augmentation procedures used in some cases. RFA was performed in 3 directions, and the lowest value was recorded. The preoperative thickness of cortical bone at the site of implant insertion was measured digitally using computed tomography, excluding cases of bone grafts and immediate implant placements. Results: The mean implant stability quotient (ISQ) was 69.34±9.43 for PS and 75.99±6.23 for SS. The mandibular group had significantly higher mean ISQ values than the maxillary group for both PS and SS (P<0.01). A significant difference was found in the mean ISQ values for PS between 1-stage and 2-stage surgery (P<0.5). The mean ISQ values in the non-augmentation group were higher than in the augmentation group for both PS and SS (P<0.01). A weak positive correlation was observed between cortical bone thickness and implant stability for both PS and SS in all cases (P<0.01). Conclusions: Based on the present study, the ISQ may be affected by implant position site, the use of a bone graft, and cortical bone thickness before implant therapy

        체험학습을 중심으로 한 어학연수의 성과

        극동 대학교 일본어 학과와 일본 분쿄 대학에서는 2004년부터 2008년까지「현지 일본어 연수」를 실시해 왔다. 이 어학연수는「체험하는 것을 전제로 한 연수」를 목표로 하고 있는 것이 하나의 특징이다. 본고는 그「현지 일본어 연수」의 개요와 5년간의 실천에 대한 보고이다. 이 연수의 성과로서 말할 수 있는 것은, 우선「체험하는 것을 전제로 한 연수」라고 하는 실천이, 일본어로 회화하는「의욕」과「자신감」면에서, 학생에게 좋은 효과를 내고 있다. 이것은, 체험하는 것을 사전에 배우는 것으로, 학생이 활동하는데 있어서 불안이 해소되어 결과적으로 그 활동에 적극성을 가지고 임할 수 있고, 나아가서는 일본어 회화의 자신감으로 연결되어 갔다고 볼 수 있다. 또, 교실 활동 자체의 체험으로부터 실생활의 흐름을 파악할 수 있고, 그리고 실체 체험으로부터「체험적으로」학습자 자신이 새로운 사실을 발견해 인식하고 있다. 그것이 새로운 달성감의 동기가 되고 있다. 이와 같이 스스로의 체험을 하나의 학습으로서 생각할 수 있는 학생이 나타나고 있는 것 자체도 체험 학습을 중심으로 한 어학연수의 성과라고 볼 수 있다. 極東大學校日本語學科と文敎大學では2004年から2008年にかけて「現地日本語硏修」を實施してきた。この語學硏修は「體驗することを前提とした硏修作り」を目指していることがひとつの特徵である。本稿はその「現地日本語硏修」の槪要と5年間の實踐についての報告である。この硏修の成果としていえることは、まず「體驗することを前提とした硏修作り」という取り組みが、日本語で會話することへの「意欲」と「自信」の面で、學生によい效果をもたらしているということである。これは、體驗することを事前に學ぶことにより、學生は活動することへの不安が解消され、結果としてその活動に積極性を持って臨むことができ、ひいては日本語で會話をすることへの自信に繫がっていったとみることができる。また、敎室活動自體の體驗から、實生活での流れを捉え、さらに、實體驗から「體驗的に」學習者自身が新しい事實を發見し、認識している。そのことが、さらなる達成感への動機となっている。このように自らの體驗をひとつの學習として考えられる學生が現れているということ自體も體驗學習を中心とした語學硏修の成果として擧げられる。

        韓国における日本語教育の成果と今後の展望 - 韓国日語教育学会(KAJE)(20周年期:2019~20年)における 会長経験者のナラティブ分析をもとに -

        本稿では、韓国における日本語教育の成果と今後の展望について韓国日語教育学会(20周年期:2019~20年)の成果を中心として、「会長」経験者のナラティブ分析を取り入れ、接近して考察しようと試みたものである。世界の日本語教育の潮流の1つである「つながりの日本語教育」とそれを標榜し運営してきた韓国日語教育学会の軌跡について述べ、また、韓国における日本語教育を牽引する使命を持ち、日本語教育という単一分野に特化して発展してきた韓国日語教育学会の動向と今後の日本語教育の展望を考察することを通して、日本語教育全体に対して示唆するところを世に示すことを目的とした。 第11代役員時期<2019(20周年)学年度~2020学年度>の特徴として、初の日本人会長、多様な20周年記念行事、韓国日本語教育ネットワーク(NET-JEK)の創設、新たな企画と運営、学術誌評価、コロナ禍における新たな挑戦としてのNINJALチュートリアルと第1回オンライン国際学術大会等が挙げられる。 今後の展望として<1. 更なる「日本語教育のつながりとひろがり」2. 世界とつながる日本語教育<国外> 3. 社会とつながる日本語教育<国内> 4. 他分野との融合複合。5. オフライン(対面)とオンライン(非対面)の融合。>の5点を挙げた。 政治や外交は複雑であるが、人文学の我々は決して分断と対立の力に負けることなく、この2019-20年を転換点として、民間文化交流と学術交流の拡大の力で、日本語教育に上昇気流を呼び戻し、韓国の日本語教育を再生させる動きを、韓国日語教育学会並びに関連団体が力を合わせて作っていくことを願う。 This paper is an attempt to examine the achievements and future issues of Japanese language education in Korea, focusing on the achievements of the Korea Association of Japanese Education (KAJE), by incorporating the narrative analysis of a person who has the experience of serving as the president of the association. The 11th executive term (2019-2020 academic year) featured the first Japanese president, various 20th anniversary events, study groups related to the Network for Japanese Language Education in Korea (NET-JEK), new planning and management, journal evaluation, and the first online international academic conference as a new challenge in the Corona disaster. In addition to the above, there were many other events to celebrate the 20th anniversary. The following five points were raised as future prospects: 1. further “connection and expansion of Japanese language education”; 2. Japanese language education connected to the world (overseas); 3. Japanese language education connected to society (domestic); 4. combined fusion with other fields; 5. fusion of offline (face-to-face) and online (non-face-to-face). Although politics and diplomacy are complicated, the field of humanities in which we are involved will not be defeated by the forces of division and confrontation, and I hope that 20th Anniversary Period (2019-20) will be a turning point for KAJE and related organizations to work together to bring back an upswing in Japanese language education and revitalize Japanese language education in Korea through the power of private cultural exchange and the expansion of academic exchange. I hope that KAJE and related organizations will work together to create a movement to revive Japanese language education in Korea.

        ソーシャルネットワーキングアプローチ(SNA)によるCOIL型日韓異文化交流学習 ― Flat Stanleyバーチャル·ホームステイプログラム ―

        2019年末以降の新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大により、外国語教育は避けられない困難に直面し、大きな変革を迫られた。韓国の大学で日本語学習者の多くは、パンデミック以前は旅行や留学、 ワーキングホリデーなどを通じて、実践的な日本語を直接身につけるさまざまな機会があったが、パンデミックによってそのような異文化に触れる場が突然失われ、学生のモチベーションをいかに維持するかという課題が浮き彫りになった。 そこで、筆者らは代替的な国際連携活動として、Flat Stanley Projectを採用し、2021年7月に韓国と日本の3大学の学生間でバーチャル·ホームステイを実施した。Flat Stanley Projectは、Jeff Brown氏の絵本に基づいた昔ながらのペンパル形式のコミュニケーション活動で、参加者の文化や日常生活、観光地、地元の食べ物などを紹介するプロジェクトであり、世界中の生徒やESL学習者に人気がある。 筆者らの研究のユニークな点は、Flat Stanley Projectから着想を得て、「Flat Stanleyバーチャル·ホームステイプログラム」と題したCOIL型日韓異文化交流学習を実施した点である。また、本プログラムの実施においてはソーシャルネットワーキングアプローチ(SNA)に基づいて設計した。自分たちでFlat Stanleyの紙人形を作り、ホストファミリーに郵送するのではなく、Zoomで相手と会い、相手のことを思い浮かべながらStanley人形を作った。また、本プログラムの実施後に行った参加学生のアンケートの回答を分析した結果、本プログラムは、学生の異文化理解を深め、学習対象言語(日本語と英語)を使う機会を提供し、また、Stanley人形が参加者のアバターとして存在することで、パートナーの学生間の絆を強めることができた。 Sudden loss of intercultural occasions due to the COVID-19 outbreak has highlighted the challenges of how to keep the motivation of the students who study foreign languages. As a possible internationally collaborative activity under the pandemic, the authors have adopted the Flat Stanley project and had their students enjoy a virtual homestay program between Korea and Japan in July, 2021. The Flat Stanley project is known as a pen-pal style activity popular among younger students and ESL learners all over the world. It is based on the storybooks written by Jeff Brown, and the project requires interactive commitment such as introducing participants’ culture, typical lifestyle, sightseeing spots, local foods and so on. The uniqueness of this study lies in that it was inspired by the Flat Stanley Project and implemented a COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning)-type cross-cultural exchange study titled the "Flat Stanley Virtual Homestay Program". In addition, this program was designed based on the Social Networking Approach (SNA) and the authors have adopted its style while conducting the program. Instead of making their own Flat Stanley paper dolls and sending them by postal mail to their hosting partners, the students met their partners via Zoom and made Stanley dolls based on the images of their partners. The results show this program deepened the students’ intercultural understanding and offered opportunities of using the languages they are learning (Japanese and English), and also strengthened the bond between the partner students largely due to the existence of Stanley dolls as their own avatars.

        ソーシャルネットワーキングアプローチ(SNA)による研究会の創立と実践研究

        21世紀に入り、グローバル化の進展の中、国境を越え、テクノロジーにより、人·モノ·文化·情報の移動が広範囲におこり、人、文化、経済交流、統合が急速に進んできた。ICTとツールの発達により、かつてはつながることができなかった人々とも容易につながることが可能になり、その中で言語の様相も変わり、言語の役割も変化してきた。特に2019年度末からのパンデミック(COVID-19)と、それに対するオンラインでの新しい教育であるパンデミック·ぺダゴジーも追い風となり、教育の目標、役割、形態も変化し、日本語を含む言語教育にも革新(イノベーション)が求められている。 そこで、筆者はソーシャルネットワーキングアプローチ(SNA)を根本理念に据え、SNAを研究し、更にSNAをもとに行う言語教育実践を研究する「SNA交流学習実践研究会(SNA-COIL)」を創立した。 本稿では、SNA交流学習実践研究会(SNA-COIL)の創立の背景や意義、そして創立後の活動を述べた後、SNAをもとに行った実践である日本の大学との間で行ったCOILの実践研究を報告した。 交流学習を推進しようと立ち上げられたマッチングシステムはさらに登録校が増え、日韓を超えて世界に広くネットワークが広がった。また、日韓以外の国同士の学習者でも、日本語を共通言語とする新しい交流も始まったことが確認できた。筆者が考える「繫活(つなかつ)」は、小さな意味だけのつながる活動に留まらない。今日、世界の全ての分野において、個人から社会·世界にまで見られる対立と分断の力の動きを超克して、つながりを強め、広めていく心と能力が必要である。「和の精神」を基にした「つながりの日本語教育」は日本語という言葉と文化を通して、人の心と心をつなげ、社会と世界に影響を与えることができると信じ、これからも実践し、努力していきたい。 In the 21st century, globalization has brought about rapid progress in human, cultural, and economic exchange and integration, with technology facilitating the movement of people, goods, culture, and information across borders. ICTs and tools have made it easier to connect with people who were once unconnected, and in this context, many aspects of language has changed, and the role of language has also changed. Therefore, the author has set Social Networking Approach (SNA) as a fundamental philosophy and founded “SNA-COIL” to study SNA and to research language education practices based on SNA. This paper describes the background and significance of the founding of the SNA-COIL and its activities, and then reports on the COIL research conducted in collaboration with a Japanese university, which is a practice based on SNA. The number of registered schools for the matching system, which was established to promote exchange learning, increased, and the network has expanded beyond Japan and Korea to the rest of the world. It was also confirmed that new exchanges between learners from countries other than Japan and Korea, using Japanese as a common language, have begun. “繫活” (TSUNAKATSU) is not only an activity to connect in a small sense. Today, in all areas of the world, we need the willingness and ability to strengthen and spread connections, overcoming the movement of forces of conflict and division that can be seen from individuals to society and the world. We will continue to practice and strive for “Japanese language education of connection” based on the “spirit of harmony,” believing that we can influence society and the world by connecting the hearts and minds of people through the Japanese language and culture.

        日韓の言語専攻学生のキャリア教育用ビデオ教材制作の背景と枠組み

        本研究では、日韓の言語専攻学生のキャリア支援に特化した教育用ビデオ教材の制作について、理論的な側面からその背景と枠組みを論じることを目的とする。日本と韓国は、政治·文化ともに交流の歴史が深く、日本で韓国語や韓国文化を学ぶ学生、韓国で日本語や日本文化を学ぶ学生も昔から多いにも関わらず、これらの人材が有意義に活躍するための政策や大学における体系的な進路支援が確立されているとは言い難いこと、それが故に進路に関して学生個人による自助努力に委ねられてきている現状がある。 松﨑·磯野·検校(2019,2020)では、こうした現状について、日韓の言語専攻学生の実態調査を行い、その分析結果を通して、学部における専門教育をキャリア支援の観点から充実させる必要性を論じた。 本研究では「そのためには、どのように充実させていくことが必要か」という点について、キャリア教育や学生の現状の問題とつなげながら、それを解決するための教育用ビデオ教材制作を取り上げ、<1.教育用ビデオ教材の内容。2.教育用ビデオ教材のコンテンツ構成。3.教育用ビデオ教材の使用方法>の理論的な枠組みを論じた。具体的には、教材は専門知識を教えるための教材ではなく、専攻課程で学ぶ学生が自身のキャリアを考えるための手がかりを提供するための手段と位置付けた。また、専門家が専門知識を講じるためのものではなく、本教材をきっかけに、学生の自己省察、学習への動機づけ、問題意識を芽生えさせるための材料としての方向性を打ち出した。 日韓の言語専攻学生の実態を明らかにした基礎的調査と、応用研究としての教材制作の方向性を併せて論じることによって、より現実的、かつ実用的な枠組みを本研究では示すことができたと言える。 The purpose of this study is to discuss the background and framework of the theoretical aspect of the production of educational video materials dedicated to career support for Japanese and Korean language majors. Japan and Korea have a long history of political and cultural exchange. Although there have long been many students studying Korean language and culture in Japan and Japanese language and culture in Korea, it is difficult to say that policies and systematic career support at universities have been established to help these human resources play a meaningful role. Therefore, it has been left to the self-help efforts of individual students. Matsuzaki, Isono, and Kenko (2019, 2020) conducted a survey on the actual conditions of Japanese and Korean language majors, and through the results of the analysis, they discussed the necessity of enhancing undergraduate professional education from the perspective of career support. In this study, we will focus on the production of educational video materials to solve the problem of “how to improve the educational video materials” by connecting them to the current problems of career education of students. This paper discusses the theoretical framework. Specifically, the educational materials are not intended to teach expertise, but rather to provide students with clues to help them think about their own careers. In addition, it is not intended for experts to lecture on their expertise, but rather as a tool for students to develop self-reflection, motivation for learning, and problem awareness. By discussing basic research and the production of teaching materials as applied research, a more realistic and practical framework is presented.

      • Model Predictive Sensor Scheduling

        The sensor scheduling is to select a sensor (or a group of sensors) from multiple sensors at each time step so as to perform optimally a task based on the sensed data. In this paper, we pose a model predictive type deterministic/ stochastic sensor scheduling problem for discrete-time linear Gaussian time-varying systems, and develop an approach to solve these problems based on the dynamic programming recursion. We show first that, in a special case of deterministic scheduling where the Riccati recursion of error covariance satisfies a specific structural condition, the online optimization using the dynamic programming is reduced to a static optimization, so that the model predictive sensor scheduling can be easily implemented online. Next, we discuss the stochastic scheduling problem, and show an alternative condition of optimization reduction, which lead to a stochastic sensor scheduling easily implemented online. Finally, we propose two practical sensor schedulings for deterministic and stochastic case, and discuss an example to illustrate the two sensor schedulings.
