<P>Imide functionalization is one of the most effective approaches to develop electron-deficient building blocks for constructing n-type organic semiconductors. Driven by the attractive properties of imide-functionalized dithienylbenzodiimide (TBDI) and the promising device performance of TBDI-based polymers, a novel acceptor with increased electron affinity, fluorinated dithienylbenzodiimide (TFBDI), was designed with the hydrogen replaced by fluorine on the benzene core, and the synthetic challenges associated with this highly electron-deficient fluorinated imide building block are successfully overcome. TFBDI showed suppressed frontier molecular orbital energy levels as compared with TBDI. Copolymerizing this new electron-withdrawing TBDI with various donor co-units afforded a series of n-type polymer semiconductors TFBDI-T, TFBDI-Se, and TFBDI-BSe. All these TFBDI-based polymers exhibited a lower-lying lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy level than the polymer analogue without fluorine. When applied in organic thin-film transistors, three polymers showed unipolar electron transport with large on-current/off-current ratios (<I>I</I>on/<I>I</I>off) of 105-107. Among them, the selenophene-based polymer TFBDI-Se with the deepest-positioned LUMO and optimal chain stacking exhibited the highest electron mobility of 0.30 cm2 V-1 s-1. This result demonstrates that the new TFBDI is a highly attractive electron-deficient unit for enabling n-type polymer semiconductors, and the fluorination of imide-functionalized arenes offers an effective approach to develop more electron-deficient building blocks in organic electronics.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
Spirometric Standards for Healthy Children and Adolescents of Korean Chinese in Northeast China
Kui Feng,Li Chen,Shao-Mei Han,Guang-Jin Zhu 대한의학회 2011 Journal of Korean medical science Vol.26 No.11
In China there are 1,923,842 Korean Chinese, who live mostly (92.27%) in the country’s three northeast provinces. In spite of this sizeable number, no spirometric data are available at present on them. The present study investigated normal spirometric reference values for the Korean Chinese children and adolescents. Spirometry was performed in 443healthy Korean Chinese children and adolescents aged 8-18 yr with measurements of forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1), peak expiratory flow (PEF) and maximum mid-expiratory flow (MMEF). Reference equations for FEV1, FVC,PEF and MMEF were derived by using multiple regression analysis. All of the measured spirometric parameters correlated positively with height and age significantly (P < 0.001). The predicted values of FVC and FEV1 were higher than values obtained by using Caucasian and other Asian equations (P < 0.001). A set of spirometric reference equations has been derived using a relatively large, healthy, non-smoking young Korean Chinese population with a wide range of ages and heights, the results of which differ from those gained from several other reference equations. These reference equations should be used for evaluation of lung function in this population.
Real option consumption-utility based indifference pricing under stochastic volatility
Feng Shi,Jinqiang Yang,Kui Ma 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 2009 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 학술대회 Vol.2009 No.10
This paper deals with the consumption-utility based indifference pricing problem of real option under stochastic volatility by analyzing a mixed optimal control and optimal stopping problem under an incomplete market. Implied option value is given by the solution to a two dimensional free-boundary PDE and the numerical results are obtained by the finite difference method. The numerical analysis illustrates that stochastic volatility will increase the implied option value and encourage the agent exericse the option later. Additionally, the stochastic volatility results in more consumption and decreases the precautionary savings motive of the agent. And an increase in the risk aversion attituede raises those effects.
Propagation characteristics of ultrasonic guided waves in tram rails
Kui Sun,Hua-peng Chen,Qingsong Feng,Xiaoyan Lei 국제구조공학회 2020 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.75 No.4
Ultrasonic guided wave testing is a very promising non-destructive testing method for rails, which is of great significance for ensuring the safe operation of railways. On the basis of the semi-analytical finite element (SAFE) method, a analytical model of 59R2 grooved rail was proposed, which is commonly used in the ballastless track of modern tram. The dispersion curves of ultrasonic guided waves in free rail and supported rail were obtained. Sensitivity analysis was then undertaken to evaluate the effect of rail elastic modulus on the phase velocity and group velocity dispersion curves of ultrasonic guided waves. The optimal guided wave mode, optimal excitation point and excitation direction suitable for detecting rail integrity were identified by analyzing the frequency, number of modes, and mode shapes. A sinusoidal signal modulated by a Hanning window with a center frequency of 25 kHz was used as the excitation source, and the propagation characteristics of high-frequency ultrasonic guided waves in the rail were obtained. The results show that the rail pad has a relatively little influence on the dispersion curves of ultrasonic guided waves in the high frequency band, and has a relatively large influence on the dispersion curves of ultrasonic guided waves in the low frequency band below 4 kHz. The rail elastic modulus has significant influence on the phase velocity in the high frequency band, while the group velocity is greatly affected by the rail elastic modulus in the low frequency band.
Reliability-based assessment of high-speed railway subgrade defect
Qingsong Feng,Kui Sun,Hua-peng Chen 국제구조공학회 2021 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.77 No.2
In this paper, a dynamic response mapping model of the wheel-rail system is established by using the support vector regression (SVR) method, and the hierarchical safety thresholds of the subgrade void are proposed based on the reliability theory. Firstly, the vehicle-track coupling dynamic model considering the subgrade void is constructed. Secondly, the subgrade void area, the subgrade compaction index K30 and the fastener stiffness are selected as random variables, and the mapping model between these three random parameters and the dynamic response of the wheel-rail system is built by using the orthogonal test and the SVR. The sensitivity analysis is carried out by the range analysis method. Finally, the hierarchical safety thresholds for the subgrade void are proposed. The results show that the subgrade void has the most significant influence on the carbody vertical acceleration, the rail vertical displacement, the vertical displacement and the slab tensile stress. From the range analysis, the subgrade void area has the largest effect on the dynamic response of the wheel-rail system, followed by the fastener stiffness and the subgrade compaction index K30. The recommended safety thresholds for the subgrade void of level I, II and III are 4.01m2, 6.81m2 and 9.79m2, respectively.

In this letter, a harmonic-mean-based dual-antenna selection scheme at relay node is proposed in two-way relaying networks (TWRNs). With well-designed distributed orthogonal concatenated Alamouti space-time block code (STBC), a dual-antenna selection problem based on the instantaneous achievable sum-rate criterion is formulated. We propose a low-complexity selection algorithm based on the harmonic-mean criterion with linearly complexity O(NR) rather than the directly exhaustive search with complexity O(NR2). From the analysis of network outage performance, we show that the asymptotic diversity gain function of the proposed scheme achieves as 1/ρNR-1, which demonstrates one degree loss of diversity order compared with the full diversity. This slight performance gap is mainly caused by sacrificing some dual-antenna selection freedom to reduce the algorithm complexity. In addition, our proposed scheme can obtain an extra coding gain because of the combination of the well-designed orthogonal concatenated Alamouti STBC and the corresponding dual-antenna selection algorithm. Compared with the common-used selection algorithms in the state of the art, the proposed scheme can achieve the best performance, which is validated by numerical simulations.
