정념과 신체의 기호화 - 스포츠 선수의 몸에 대한 고찰

        송치만 ( Song¸ Chi-man ) 한국기호학회 2022 기호학연구 Vol.70 No.-

The purpose of this study is to look at the process of forming the body of a sports player. Based on the image of health, the body of a sports player is an object of reverence and adoration. However, the athlete’s body undergoes distorted changes due to excessive competition. When a body suitable for the characteristics of an individual sport is formed, certain parts of the body tend to develop relatively. We can confirm this situation through the comments of Eco and Barthes. In order to look at this phenomenon from a systematic point of view beyond the level of intuitive criticism, we would like to refer to the semiotics of the Paris School. As problems such as sensory subjects and passions emerged as new issues, the problem of the body became a semiotic object. The question of the automatic construction of sign and the question of the automation of generative trajectory, which is a core concept of the Paris School, made it possible to deal with the problem of the body in detail. In this flow, Fontanille uses the body as a semiotic object and proposes a distinction between the body-actant as the basis of semiotic operation and the figures of corporality appearing in concrete semiotic objects. Based on this concept, the semiotics of traces can be conceived. The figurative expression of the body-actant is affected by the interaction between the body-actant, retaining traces of that interaction, and constructing a figurative memory based on this. The concept of Fontanille can be applied to the process of forming the body of sports player. In the sensory field, the player’s movements come into contact with the others envelope, from which the deformation of the body occurs. At this time, the traces of the interaction are left intact on the player’s body. Since the concept of figurative memory is based on body-actant interactions, body memory is embodied in various ways in sports. After all, the aspect of the figurative expression of the player’s body in various sports is bound to vary.

Cadaveric anatomy of the lumbar triangular safe zone of Kambin’s in North West Indian population

        Chiman Kumari,Tulika Gupta,Richa Gupta,Vishal Kumar,Daisy Sahni,Anjali Aggarwal,Neelkamal 대한해부학회 2021 Anatomy & Cell Biology Vol.54 No.1

A three dimensional triangular space ‘the Kambin’s triangle (KT)’ present on the dorsolateral aspect of the intervertebral disc, is considered to be a safe area for transforaminal approaches. It allows access to the exiting and traversing nerve roots, the thecal sac and to the intervertebral disc spaces. Our aim was to calculate the area of the triangle by measuring the height and base at all the intervertebral spaces bilaterally in the lumbar region in North West Indian cadavers and to assess the diameter of circle inscribed within this triangle which will correspond to the size of cannula inserted for the minimally invasive transforaminal approaches in this population. Five randomly chosen adult cadavers were used for this study. After clearing the area, the exiting nerve was identified. The height and base of the bony KTs (n=40) were measured with the help of digital Vernier’s calliper (accuracy 0.02 mm) to calculate the area of the KT. There is a steady increase in the area of the bony KT reaching maximum at the level of L4-5 intervertebral space. Statistically there were no differencesin the calculated areas between right and left side. The mean diameter of inscribed circle within the triangle also showed gradual increase from 5.82 mm at L1-2 level, reaching maximum value of 7.26 mm at L4-5 level on the right side while on the left side the values were 5.66 mm and 8.16 mm respectively. Careful anatomical consideration is of utmost importance in transforaminal approaches during surgical or interventional procedures in this region. Cannula having external diameter ranging 6–8 mm is recommended for any interventional approach through Kambin’s space.

      • Reconstructive outcome of intraoperative cerebrospinal fluid leak after endoscopic endonasal surgery for tumors involving skull base

        Jeon, Chiman,Hong, Sang Duk,Seol, Ho Jun,Lee, Jung-Il,Nam, Do-Hyun,Hwang, Yoon Jung,Kong, Doo-Sik Elsevier 2017 Journal of clinical neuroscience Vol.45 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Endoscopic transnasal surgery for tumors located at the base of the skull has a high incidence of postoperative cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks. Here, we assessed the repair outcomes for high-flow CSF leaks based upon the tumor location, and analyzed the reasons for repair failure after transnasal endoscopic surgery solely for tumors involving the base of the skull. From Feb. 2009 to Dec. 2014 we performed endoscopic endonasal surgery for a variety of skull base lesions in 788 patients at our institution. Among them, 95 patients with intradural skull base tumors underwent endoscopic transnasal surgery. We performed surgical repairs with a multilayered nonvascularized construct (38 patients) and a vascularized pedicled nasoseptal flap construct combined with a fascia graft (57 patients). Overall, 14 of 95 patients (14.7%) who underwent endoscopic transnasal surgery for skull base tumors developed postoperative CSF leaks. The major causes of repair failure included graft disruption by a lack of counter-pressure in the multilayered non-vascularized technique, and inadequate drilling of the sphenoid bone, displacement of the flap due to pressure from CSF or gravity, or disruption of flap integrity in the vascularized pedicled flap technique. Logistic regression analysis revealed that there was no significant association between repair failure and age, sex, type of reconstructive method used, and primary tumor type (<I>p</I> >0.05). Reconstruction after endoscopic endonasal surgery remained challenging, especially for non-pituitary skull base tumors requiring intra-arachnoidal dissection. Recent advances in reconstructive techniques require the accumulation of experiences with sufficient dexterity to achieve an acceptable morbidity rate.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> We assessed the repair outcome for CSF leak after transnasal endoscopic surgery for non-pituitary skull base tumors. </LI> <LI> Postoperative CSF leaks occurred in 14 of 100 patients (14.0%) after endoscopic transnasal surgery for skull base tumors. </LI> <LI> Repair failure after endoscopic transnasal surgery for skull base tumors remained challenging. </LI> </UL> </P>

Bilateral thyrolinguofacial trunk: unusual and rare branching pattern of external carotid artery

        Monica Baxla,Chiman Kumari,Saroj Kaler 대한해부학회 2018 Anatomy & Cell Biology Vol.51 No.4

Prior knowledge of arterial supply to the head and neck is of substantial importance for well-planned surgeries involving the concerned region. We are reporting an unusual and rare variation in the branching pattern of external carotid artery in a 60-year-old female cadaver. A common trunk known as thyrolinguofacial trunk, originating from the anterior surface of the external carotid artery (right and left) giving of superior thyroid artery and a linguofacial trunk during a routine neck dissection. The linguofacial trunk then divided into a lingual and a facial artery. Vascular abnormalities are usually detected either on the dissection table or by the radiologists during imaging or accidently during surgeries leading to serious consequences.

In this paper, a control algorithm on how to determine the torque at each wheel is proposed for vehicle safety of an in-wheel independent drive electric vehicle. This control algorithm is designed by considering both wheel slip control and vehicle dynamic control. In order to investigate the effectiveness of the algorithm, a co-simulator is developed under MATLAB Simulink and CarSim simulation environment. It is found from the simulation results for the slalom test that the control algorithm proposed in this study is able to provide satisfactory driving performance with vehicle stability.
