In this paper, we propose an analysis method of spatial and temporal characteristics of education network traffic based on flexible multiscale entropy (FMSE). As an improved method, flexible multiscale entropy has a significant improvement in stability and accuracy over multiscale entropy (MSE). We analyze network traffic in different time scales, space scales and traffic levels by building network traffic time-space analysis model and using flexible multiscale entropy as a method to quantify complexity of different network traffic subsequences. The results show that there are distinct characteristics in the complexity of different levels of network traffic. We also find that the existence of a large number of small network traffic flows has a significant influence on the complexity of network traffic.
Development of Research into Autophagic Lysosome Reformation
Chen, Yang,Yu, Li Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology 2018 Molecules and cells Vol.41 No.1
Autophagy is a lysosome-dependent degradation process that is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis. In recent years, more studies have focused on the late stages of autophagy. Our group discovered and studied the terminal step of autophagy, namely autophagic lysosome reformation (ALR). ALR is the process that regenerates functional lysosomes from autolysosomes, thus maintaining lysosome homeostasis. ALR involves clathrin-mediated membrane budding from autolysosomes, elongation of membrane tubules along microtubules with the pulling force provided by the motor protein KIF5B, proto-lysosome scission by dynamin 2, and finally maturation of proto-lysosomes to functional lysosomes. In this review, we will summarize progress in unveiling the molecular mechanisms underlying ALR and its potential pathophysiological roles.
CHANDRA SPECTROSCOPY OF SUPERNOVA REMNANT 3C 391
CHEN YANG,SU YANG,SLANE PATRICK O.,WANG Q. DANIEL The Korean Astronomical Society 2005 Journal of The Korean Astronomical Society Vol.38 No.2
We performed a spatially resolved spectroscopic study of the thermal composite supernova remnant 3C 391 by the Chandra observation. Broad- and narrow-band X-ray images show a southeast-northwest elongated morphology and unveil a highly clumpy structure of the remnant. The spectral analysis for. the small-scale features indicates normal metal abundance and uniform temperature for the interior gas. The properties of the hot gas are largely in agreement with the cloudlet evaporation model as a main mechanism for the 'thermal composite' X-ray appearance, though radiative rim and thermal conduction may also be effective. An unresolved X-ray source, with a power-law spectrum, is observed on the northwest border. The equivalent width images reveal a faint finger-like protrusion in Si and S lines out of the southwest radio border.

Background: Rosa Roxburghii Tratt is a promising wild fruit crop in Southwest China. Its extracts have been used as traditional Chinese medicine, which benefit immune responses and cure various health disorders. However, whether Rosa Roxburghii Tratt polysaccharides could inhibit metastasis and invasion of ovarian cancer cells remains unknown. Materials and Methods: Effects of crude polysaccharides from Rosa Roxburghii Tratt on the viability of ovarian cancer A2780 cells were detected by MTT assay. Ovarian carcinoma cell migration and invasion after exposure to Rosa Roxburghii Tratt polysaccharides were quantified by wound healing and Transwell assays, respectively. Western blotting was applied to assess protein levels of MMP-9. Results: The results indicated that Rosa Roxburghii Tratt polysaccharides significantly reduced wound closure rate of A2780 cells, inhibited their migration and invasion, and suppressed the expression of MMP-9. Conclusions: Our findings indicated that Rosa Roxburghii Tratt polysaccharides have potential for develop as anti-metastatic cancer drug preparations for ovarian cancer patients.
PQ Control of Micro Grid Inverters with Axial Voltage Regulators
Chen, Yang,Zhao, Jinbin,Qu, Keqing,Li, Fen The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2015 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.15 No.6
This paper presents a PQ control strategy for micro grid inverters with axial voltage regulators. The inverter works in the voltage-controlled mode and can help improve the terminal power quality. The inverter has two axial voltage regulators. The 1st regulator involves the output voltage amplitude and output impedance, while the 2nd regulator controls the output frequency. The inverter system is equivalent to a controllable voltage source with a controllable inner output impedance. The basic PQ control for micro grid inverters is easy to accomplish. The output active and reactive powers can be decoupled well by controlling the two axial voltages. The 1st axial voltage regulator controls the reactive power, while the 2nd regulator controls the active power. The paper analyses the axial voltage regulation mechanism, and evaluates the PQ decoupling effect mathematically. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is validated by simulation and experimental results.
Nitric Oxide Synthase 3 Gene Variants and Colorectal Cancer: a Meta-Analysis
Chen, Yang,Li, Jie,Guo, Yun,Guo, Xiao-Yun Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.8
Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the worldwide disease which causes enormous losses every year. Recent studies suggested that environmental and gene factors might be the etiologies in increasing the risk of morbidity. Nitric oxide synthase 3 (NOS3) gene polymorphisms are said to be associated with CRC risk but the conclusion is still controversial. Materials and Methods: Pubmed and HuGENet databases up to December 2013 were used in this meta-analysis. Three different certain genotypic models were applied, namely dominant (AA+AC versus CC), recessive (AA versus AC+CC), per-allele analysis (A vs C). In addition, information on tumor sites and pathologic stages was collected. The strength of associations was assessed through combining odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI). Results: Finally, five and three studies about the rs1799983 and rs2070744 were covered in the analysis with 2,745 cases and 2,478 controls. Three models were applied, but no significant association was found for NOS3 G894T/rs1799983 (dominant: OR=0.999, 95%CI=0.797-1.253, $I^2$=63.8%; recessive: OR=0.924, 95%CI=0.589-1.450, $I^2$=59.3%; allele analysis: OR=0.979, 95%CI=0.788-1.216, $I^2$=74.9%) and T-786C/rs2070744 (dominant: OR=1.138, 95%CI=0.846-1.530, $I^2$=67.9%; recessive: OR=0.956, 95%CI=0.708-1.291, $I^2$=0.0%; allele analysis: OR=1.110, 95%CI=0.865-1.425, $I^2$=69.4%). The same results were also obtained for tumor sites and pathologic stage subgroups. After further analyzing the NOS3 gene, rs1799983 as the tag- and functional SNP was presented. Conclusions: On the basis of this meta-analysis and the characteristics of the NOS3 gene, we suggested rs1799983 might be a key locus associated with CRC risk. Further prospective studies were needed to make more comprehensive explanation of the associations.
A Study on Partial Differential Equation Model of Image Denoising Method
Chen Yang,Zhu Qiang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.9
Image denoising is a basic problem in image processing, fourth order partial differential equation model is an image denoising method proposed for maintaining the balance of denoising and edge keeping. But when the image is severely contaminated, the denoising effect is not ideal, it may fuzzes the boundary at the same time, this paper puts forward an improved fourth order partial differential equation model, in order to overcome the contradiction between denoising and edge keeping, better denoising effect is obtained, and through the numerical simulation the results show that the method has good stability and practical value.

This study investigated how Weibo use is related to Chinese students’ acculturation and adaptation in the United States. Adaptation is conceptualized into three domains: social life adaptation (SLA), task-performance adaptation (TPA), and cultural adaptation (CA, composing of acculturation and de-culturation). Data show that students with lower income and those who plan to return to China or have not lived in the United States long tend to use Weibo more. Furthermore, Weibo use is positively associated with TPA but negatively with SLA. Chinese identity (or de-culturation) does not affect their Weibo use. However, people with strong acculturation use Weibo longer on an average day but with less frequency. Weibo appears to be a double-edged sword as Chinese students may use it to improve their living skills and cultural competence or to escape from a limited social life. Implications for uses and gratifications are discussed.
