A General Template to Configure Multi-Criteria Problems in Ubiquitous GDSS
João Carneiro,Diogo Martinho,Goreti Marreiros,Paulo Novais 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Software Engineering and Vol.9 No.11
The study of multi-criteria problems adapted to the context of Ubiquitous Group Deci-sion Support Systems (UbiGDSS) is covered in the literature through very different per-spectives and interests. There are scientific studies related to the multi-criteria problems that lie across argumentation-based negotiation, multi-agent systems, dialogues, etc. However, to perform most of these studies, a high amount of information is required. The usage of so much data or information that is difficult to collect or configure can bring good results in theoretical scenarios but can be impossible to use in the real world. In order to overcome these issues, we present in this paper a general template to configure multi-criteria problems adapted for the contexts of UbiGDSS that intends to be easy and fast to configure, appellative, intuitive, permits to collect a lot of data and helps the deci-sion-maker transmitting his beliefs and opinions to the system. Our proposal includes three sections: Problem Data, Personal Configuration and Problem Configuration. We have developed a prototype with our template with the purpose to simulate the configura-tion of a multi-criteria problem. We invited real decision-makers to use our prototype in a simulated scenario and asked to them to fulfil a survey in the end in order to study our hypotheses. Our general template achieved good results and proved to be very percepti-ble and fast to configure.
UbiGDSS : A Theoretical Model to Predict Decision-Makers’ Sat-isfaction
João Carneiro,Ricardo Santos,Goreti Marreiros,Paulo Novais 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.10 No.7
The market globalization and the firms’ internationalization hinder the matching of the top managers’ agenda, making it difficult to meet in the same space or time. On the one hand, the appearance of Ubiquitous Group Decision Support Systems (UbiGDSS) ena-bled individuals to gather and make decisions in different spaces at different times, but on the other hand, originated problems related to the lack of human interaction. To under-stand how the arguments used can influence each of the decision-makers, what is their satisfaction regarding the decision made, and other affective issues such as emotions and mood, are some examples of that lack. In order to try to overcome this lack, we propose a theoretical model that is specially designed for agents, helping to understand the interac-tions impact on each agent and their satisfaction with the decision made.

PURPOSE. To evaluate and compare the effect of impression type (conventional vs digital) and the number of implants on the time from the impressions to the generation of working casts of mandibular implant-supported fixed completearch frameworks, as well as on patient satisfaction. MATERIALS AND METHODS. 17 participants, 3 or 4 implants, received 2 types of digital impression methods (DI) and conventional (CI). In DI, two techniques were performed: scanning with the scan bodies (SC) and scanning with a device attached to the scan bodies (SD) (BR 10 2019 026265 6). In CI, the making of a solid index (SI) and open-tray impression (OT) were used. The outcomes were used to evaluate the time and the participant satisfaction with conventional and digital impressions. The time was evaluated through the timing of the time obtained in the workflow in the conventional and digital impression. The effect of the number of implants on time was also assessed. Satisfaction was assessed through a questionnaire based on seven. The Wilcoxon test used to identify the statistical difference between the groups in terms of time. The Mann-Whitney test was used to analyze the relationship between the time and the number of implants. Fisher's test was used to assess the patient satisfaction (P <.05). RESULTS. The time with DI was shorter than with CI (DI, x~=02:58; CI, x~=31:48) (P <.0001). The arches rehabilitated with 3 implants required shorter digital impression time (3: x~=05:36; 4: x~=09:16) (P <.0001). Regarding satisfaction, the DI was more comfortable and pain-free than the CI (P <.005). CONCLUSION. Digital impressions required shorter chair time and had higher patient acceptance than conventional impressions.
Government Revenues and Expenditures in Guinea-Bissau: Causality and Cointegration
Francisco G. Carneiro,Joao R. Faria,Boubacar S. Barry 중앙대학교 경제연구소 2005 Journal of Economic Development Vol.30 No.1
The paper establishes empirically the temporal causality and long run relationship between government expenditures and government revenues for the case of Guinea-Bissau - a low income country under stress (LICUS) in Africa. A macroeconomic model is developed to lay out the hypothesis of a spend-tax behavior in the country’s public finances management system. Empirical validation is carried out by means of a traditional Granger-causality test and the estimation of an error correction model between expenditures and revenues.

Purpose: This study investigated the possible correlation between the mineralization of the second molars and the chronological age of a sample population of the state of Paraiba, Brazil. Materials and Methods: One thousand eight hundred fifty-four digitized panoramic images using a scanner of a private dental radiology service were obtained in six months. Of these, 457 were selected from patients aged 4.6 to 16 years who met certain criteria. The images were assessed twice by a radiologist with 5 years experience. A minimum interval of 30 days between the evaluations of the same patient was established. To analyze the relationship between chronological age, calcification level proposed by Demirjian et al in 1973, gender, and tooth, a multiple linear regression model was adjusted, taking age as the response variable (p⁄0.05). Results: The gender and calcification level were significantly correlated with the age of the patients (p⁄0.05). There was a significant difference between the average age of the patients’ upper teeth compared to the lower ones in both genders (p⁄0.05). The dental development occurred earlier in female individuals than in male ones, and there was no significant difference between the right and left second permanent molars. Conclusion: It was observed that ethnic variables are related to certain parameters of age and sex identification in the Brazilian population, providing important information for forensic evaluations.
T6 Heat Treatment Impact on the Random Frequency Vibration Stress of Al–Si–Mg Alloys
V. H. Carneiro,H. Puga 대한금속·재료학회 2019 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.25 No.4
Recent studies show an interest on the static and dynamic mechanical properties in applications where both infl uence theoverall performance of mechanical systems. This study explores the impact of the T6 heat treatment in the elastic and dampingproperties of Al–Si–Mg alloys. Consequently, the role of such properties is characterized by the stresses that are developedin resonant structures. Experimental testing shows that, due to pinning length modifi cations, the heat treatments generate aprogressive increase in Young’s modulus and a reduction in loss factor. Recurring to fi nite element analysis, it is concludedthat such modifi cations in material properties generate a reduction in resonant stress after solution treatment. This stress tendsto increase as the artifi cial ageing progresses. A model, based on an exponential decay function, is proposed to describe thevariation of resonant stress as the elastic and damping properties are changed during the T6 treatment.

White-rot basidiomycetes are the organisms that decompose lignin most efficiently, and Trametes villosa is a promising species for ligninolytic enzyme production. There are several publications on T. villosa applications for lignin degradation regarding the expression and secretion of laccase and manganese peroxidase (MnP) but no reports on the identification and characterization of lignin peroxidase (LiP), a relevant enzyme for the efficient breakdown of lignin. The object of this study was to identify and partially characterize, for the first time, gDNA, mRNA, and the corresponding lignin peroxidase (TvLiP) protein from T. villosa strain CCMB561 from the Brazilian semiarid region. The presence of ligninolytic enzymes produced by this strain grown in inducer media was qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed by spectrophotometry, qPCR, and dye fading using Remazol Brilliant Blue R. The spectrophotometric analysis showed that LiP activity was higher than that of MnP. The greatest LiP expression as measured by qPCR occurred on the 7th day, and the ABSA medium (agar, sugarcane bagasse, and ammonium sulfate) was the best that favored LiP expression. The amplification of the TvLiP gene median region covering approximately 50% of the T. versicolor LPGIV gene (87% identity); the presence of Trp199, Leu115, Asp193, Trp199, and Ala203 in the translated amplicon of the T. villosa mRNA; and the close phylogenetic relationship between TvLiP and T. versicolor LiP all indicate that the target enzyme is a lignin peroxidase. Therefore, T. villosa CCMB561 has great potential for use as a LiP, MnP, and Lac producer for industrial applications.
