There are many kinds of transmissions for construction vehicles use such as ordinary manual transmission. semi-automatic transmission, automatic transmission, full HST(Hydro-Static Transmission) and HST in combination with a mechanical transmission. As the object of this study, a transmission system with the style of HST in combination with mechanical semi-automatic transmission for application in hydraulic wheel excavators was chosen. A new type power shift control systcm for improving the dynamic characteristics of the object transmission was proposed. The excellency of the transmission with the new type power shift control system was verified by experiments on the simulator developed in this study.

Exhaust brake systems are the most popular type of engine braking. They were developed for reducing the foot brake and tires damage, and for driver's fatigue relief of middle/large size vehicles running a long distance.<br/> In this paper, pneumatic valve which is used for vehicle brake system was studied. On the basic study for the performance improvement of exhaust brake system, pneumatic circuit and pneumatic valve of exhaust brake system were suggested and the performance of pneumatic valve through the test procedure was evaluated.<br/> <br/>

The purpose of this study is to develope new pressure control valve and to verify the validity of the new mechanism with pressure control pin. The dynamic characteristics of the object pressure reducing valve was studied by numerical analysis of the mathematical model. Also, static and dynamic characteristics of the new pressure control valve was tested by testing system is based on test standard.

In this paper, it is discussed that the performance test and characteristics analysis of developed PZT actuator and controller. The characteristics of developed PZT actuator was verified through the characteristics test such as displacement, force, hysteresis, and frequency.<br/> Also, we were developed PZT actuator controller and it was tested by performance<br/> test on the test stand.<br/> As a result of experimentation, it was verified that the developed PZT actuator and controller could be used to the PZT actuator driver and it was suitable for the controller of hydraulic and pneumatic system.

Exhaust brake system is composed of gate valve, pneumatic cylinder and on-off solenoid valve. On-off solenoid which is key component of exhaust brake system ought to have characteristics such as high reliability and long life for reducing the foot brake and tires damage, and for driver's fatigue relief of middle/large size vehicles running a long distance.<br/> In this paper, on-off solenoid which is used for vehicle brake system was studied. For the performance evaluation of on-off solenoid, electromagnetic characteristics and dynamic characteristics are analyzed.
