In order to facilitate the molecular characterization of the Herpes simplex Virus types 1 and types 2 genome DNAs, a gene library of cloned restriction frtgments have been produced. The Vero cells were infected with HSV-1 and HSV-2. 48 hours after infection, the infected cells Ivere Iysed, and multinucleated giant cells were observed approximately at seventy-two hours postinfection. The multiplication of HSV-1 and HSV-2 was observed in Vero cells using electromicroscopy. The nucleocapsids in nuclei were obseryed, and the assembled virions were budded out through the vacuole, and the virions were released from the cells. HSV-1 and HSV-2 was analyzed by digestion of their genome DANs with restriction ensymes. HSV-1 and HSV-2 genome DNAs were digested with BarnHI, Bgfl respectively. The BarnHI rlestriction fragments of HSV-1 and HSV-2 genome DNAs were twenty-seven fragments and thair molecular sizes were ranging $0.70{\sim}15.08$, $4.4{\sim}31.0$ tilobases. The BglII restriction fragments of HSV-1 and HSV-2 genome DNAs were sixteen, eighteen fragments and thair molecular sizes were ranging $4.8{\sim}30.0$, $1.2{\sim}25.0$ kilobases. And then BglII restriction frgments were cloned in Escherichia coli(E.coil) using the plasmid vector pBacPAK9.

『Euibangyoochui』is a great medical encyclopedia composed of 91 symptoms and signs of diseases which classified 150 kinds of reference books. It consisted mainly of fifty thousands of herbal prescriptions and therapeutics but it deals with other treatments like diet therapy, precautions, acupuncture and moxibustion, physical and breathing exercises as well. Unlike other medical references, this book made up these treatments as independent chapters. We tried to catch the meanings and characteristics of each chapters.

The GyoJungEuiSeoGook(校定醫書局, the bureau for revising of medical books) which was established in the 2nd year of InJong GaWoou of Song dynasty, made comparative analyzation about various kinds of publication and reference materials of all classical medical books that was published until Jin Han and Su Dang dynasty, revised the medical books like as Bozushinnongboncho(補注神農本草), Zungkwangbozuhwangjenegyungsomun(重廣補注黃帝內經素問), Shanghanlon(傷寒論), Bigupchunggumyobang (備急千金要方), Magkyung(脈經), Oedaebiyo(外臺備要), Hwangjechimgugapeulgyung(黃帝鍼灸甲乙經), Cchunggumikbang(千金翼方) etc. The signification of such revision was not only to preserve the materials which may be lost before, bibliographically and also make the books of Hwangjenegyung(黃帝內經), Shanghanlon(傷寒論) etc. become more regularly. And it made the foundation of Korean Medical research depends on the documentary records so as to make it have big development by deductive method till the beginning of modern age. The success of GyoJungEuiSeoGook(校定醫書局) indicates that the stagnation of Korean Medical research due to it’s behind with the development of politics-economy, social culture and scientific technology which based on western scientific culture. So we may draw the conclusion that the success of scientific research needs to parallel with the external and internal factors of the surrounding science.
