환형 갭과 핀틀갭의 면적을 동시에 제어할 수 있는 가변 슬리브 인젝터의 분무특성을 실험적으로 분석하고, 넓은 추력범위에서 일정한 성능으로 제어할 수 있는 방안을 연구하였다. 슬리브의 개도에 관계없이 일정한 차압을 설정한 경우 설계유량을 만족하지 못하는 것을 확인하였다. 이를 개선하기 위해 개도에 따라 환형 갭과 핀틀 갭에서의 차압을 개도에 따라 다르게 적용하였다. 운용범위 내에서 설계 유량을 만족하였고, 선형적인 슬리브 면적으로 25%에서 100%까지 선형적으로 추력제어가 가능한 것을 확인하였다. Experimental analysis of the spray characteristics of the movable sleeve injector, which can simultaneously control the area of the annular gap and the pintle gap, has been studied and a method for controlling the uniform performance over a wide thrust range has been studied. It is confirmed that the design flow rate is not satisfied when the constant pressure difference is set regardless of the opening distance of the sleeve. In order to improve this, the differential pressure in the annular gap and the pintle gap was applied differently according to the opening distance. It was confirmed that the design flow rate was satisfied within the operating range and thrust control was linear from 25% to 100% in linear sleeve area.

In Being and Time(1926), Martin Heidegger questions “the meaning of Being” with the meaning of “Time”. He says that time can exist only when we are mortal. In the world where humans can live forever, time may be meaningless or nonexistent even. Science has been developing so fast that, in the future, humans may gain control over their death and life: that is, eternal life may be possible. Don DeLillo’s recent novel, Zero K, reflects these ideas to its theme: life, death, time, being, and rebirth-by-technology. In Zero K, Artis and her millionaire husband Ross Lockhart chose a project called "The Convergence", in hopes to be ‘reborn’ in the future where Artis’ disease can be cured. Though Ross was healthy and could live twenty years more, he finally decided to be buried with Artis in the frozen capsule, hoping to be awaken someday together. This novel raises numerous questions about “the meaning of Being” and other concepts. "Inquiry"(Asking) is a very important concept in Heidegger. He says that "Every Inquiry is a seeking"(Heidegger 24). In Heidegger’s perspective, Jeff, the writer and Ross" son, is the seeker of “the meaning of Being” and that of death.

This paper aims to examine the religion and the fear of death in DeLillo’s White Noise, Underworld, and Falling Man. DeLillo has posed the questions as to the two issues constantly, but his argument has changed and deepened throughout his novels. His early novel, White Noise, describes the contemporary world full of death lurking everywhere and the people trying constantly to get over their death, especially by giving up themselves to a religion. However, death is always around us, and is not caused by nature entirely but by the modern technology more gradually. But there is still a hope, because no one can witness the death of any characters. In Underworld, things have changed drastically. However, death is everywhere and there is no hope for human’s future. Technology attacks its creator ironically and wins the game finally. In this novel, DeLillo describes death with some real historical evidences. Although DeLillo offers hope in religion again, it is not an eventual exit. By showing a nun resurrected in the Internet world after death, DeLillo suggests that in this contemporary society, even the heaven could be replaced by the Internet. His worry of human’s future comes true, and DeLillo pictures the real death of 9/11 in Falling Man. This horrible event makes us think about not only human-beings and death but also our present life. To achieve the goal designated, this paper deals with religion and death in these novels in terms of Nietzschean interpretation. Nietzsche argues that our present life is much more important than after-life. However, he says that death is the true evidence that we are human, not God. According to Nietzsche, the religion and death in this postmodern society shed another different meaning to us.
하이브리드 로켓 클러스터링 모델의 동시 점화 및 유량 분배 연구

본 연구는 달착륙선을 위한 하이브리드 추진 시스템의 기초 연구로서 동시 점화 및 산화제 유량 분배를 통한 클러스터링 연구를 수행하였다. 클러스터링 연소 실험을 위해 지상 연소 실험 시스템을 구축하였으며, 산화제와 연료는 각각 기체 산소(gas oxygen)와 고밀도 폴리에틸렌(High Density Poly Ethylene)을 사용하였다. 실험 결과 화약 점화를 사용한 동시 점화 장치는 동일한 시점에 점화가 되었으며, 유량 분배 장치를 통해 비교적 균일하게 산화제 분배가 이루어져 각 연소실 내에서의 압력이 비교적 동일하게 나타난 것을 확인하였다. This study aims to acquire a basic clustering technology of hybrid rocket motor for lunar lander, including the oxidizer flow distribution characteristic and the simultaneous ignition characteristic. The experimental setups were established to conduct a series of ground firing test of a clustered motor. The gaseous oxygen (GOX) and the HDPE (High Density PolyEthylene) were used as the oxidizer and the solid fuel, respectively. Experimental results which are the simultaneous pyrotechnic ignition characteristic, the oxidizer distribution characteristic and the pressure traces of each combustion chamber imply that the hybrid rocket clustered motor works successfully

본 연구에서는 인젝터의 출구 면적을 직접 변화시켜 추력제어를 할 수 있는 가변 슬리브 인젝터를 설계하여 모사 젤 추진제의 분무 실험을 수행하였다. 개도를 0.4-1.6 mm, 핀틀 분사 차압을 0.5-0.6 bar까지 변화시키며 인젝터에서 분사되는 젤 추진제의 분무 형상을 파악하고, SMD를 측정하였다. 낮은 개도와 낮은 핀틀 분사 차압에서 분열에 충분한 모멘텀이 형성되지 않아 젤의 액막이 형성되었다. 환형(반경 방향)과 핀틀(축 방향)의 분사 유량이 증가함에 따라 분무 각도 및 SMD는 증가함을 확인하였다. 측정된 분사 각도와 SMD 값을 무차원화 하여 웨버 수와 TMR의 곱에 대한 관계식을 도출하였다. In this study, spraying experiment of simulant gel propellant was performed by designing movable sleeve injector. The spray shape of the gel propellant injected from the injector was determined and the SMD was measured with the opening degree varied from 0.4 to 1.6 mm and the pintle differential pressure from 0.5 to 0.6 bar. At lower opening distance and pintle pressure, sufficient momentum was not formed for cleavage, forming a gel sheet. It was confirmed that the spray angle and SMD were increased as the mass flow rate in the annular(radial) and the pintle(axial) was increased. The relation between the Weber number and TMR was derived by non- dimensional spray angle and SMD.

In this paper, the analysis and the experiment of independent multi-phase BLDC motor are performed. The back-emf, iron loss analysis are performed by the finite element method and compared with experimental results. The independent multi-phase BLDC motor is manufactured and to measure the efficiency of the motor, evaluation system is also manufactured including the load generator. By comparing the analytic and the experimental results, the effectiveness of the analysis model is verified when calculating the efficiency of the motor.

액체산소를 적용한 Lab-scale 하이브리드 로켓 엔진의 지상연소시험을 수행하기 위해 시험 설비를 구축하였다. 지상연소시험 설비는 액체산소 공급 시스템, 제어 및 데이터 획득 장치, Lab-scale 하이브리드 연소기로 구성되어있다. 지상연소시험을 통해 하이브리드 로켓 엔진의 성능 데이터를 획득할 수 있었으며, 시스템 상의 보완해야할 문제점들을 도출 할 수 있었다. 향후 구축된 지상 연소 실험 설비에서 발생한 문제점들을 보완하여 액체산소를 이용한 다양한 연소 시험을 수행할 예정이다. Laboratory scale ground firing test facility for hybrid rocket engine using liquid oxygen as oxidizer was constructed. The ground firing test facility is composed of liquid oxygen feeding system, control/data acquisition system and laboratory scale hybrid rocket combustor. The performance data from this cryogenic oxidizer have been obtained where it has been found that some of improvements were necessary to manage the newly constructed firing test facility. Various combustion tests using liquid oxygen are scheduled after the improvements.
가변 핀틀 인젝터에서 핀틀 팁 형상에 따른 분무특성 연구

핀틀 인젝터를 사용하는 액체로켓개발에 있어서 분무특성인 분무각도, 액적크기, 액적의 분포정도는 중요한 요소이다. 세 종류의 다중 홀형 핀틀 팁과 연속형 핀틀 팁을 설계하여 분무실험을 수행하였다. 다중 홀형 인젝터에서 홀 개수에 따른 액적크기는 크게 차이가 없었으며, 홀 개수가 많을수록 액적이 균일하게 분포하였다. 연속형 핀틀은 다중 홀형 핀틀보다 액적의 미립화가 잘 이루어지고 공간내로 더 고르게 분산되는 것을 확인하였다. 핀틀의 액체분사면적조절을 통한 추력제어는 다중 홀형보다는 면 접촉 닫힘(face-shutoff)이 용이한 연속형 핀틀이 적합하다. 각 핀틀 팁의 TMR에 따른 분무각을 측정하여 특정한 경향성과 그에 해당하는 경험식을 도출하였다. In the development of the liquid rocket engine using the pintle injector, spray characteristics such as spray angle, droplet size, and distribution of the droplets are dominant parameters. Three different kind of multi hole type pintle tip and a continuous type pintle tip were designed. In the case of multi hole pintle tip, SMD result did not have a significant difference depending on the number of holes. In analysis with visualization images, however, the droplets were uniformly distributed as the number of holes increased. Liquid droplets from continuous type pintle tip were finely atomized and dispersed uniformly than those from multi-hole type pintle tip. In addition, the thrust control by adjusting the liquid injection area of the pintle is suitable for the continuous type, which is easier to face-shutoff rather than the multi hole type. The spray angle of each pintle tip according to TMR was measured to derive a specific tendency and corresponding empirical formula.
