[論文] 酸化觸媒에 의한 自動車排出가스中 HC 및 CO의 淨化에 關한 實驗的 硏究

This paper describes emission control of hydrocarbon and carbon-monoxide due to oxidizing catalyst.<br/> The experiment was performed on a precious metal pclleted catalyst (Pt).<br/> The factors of the efficiency for purification due to oxidizing catalyst are space velocity,<br/> temperature, composition of exhaust gas and supplemcntary air.<br/> The experiment was carried out to control the factors of efficiency for purification.<br/> The results of experimental study show that lempcrature of catalytic converter, supple-<br/> mentary air and space velocity affected the efficicncy for purification of hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide.
[論文] 高速디이젤機關의 粘性비틀림振動댐퍼에 關한 硏究

Recent diesel engine has achieved high speed running comparable to that of gasoline engine as a speed improvement effort.<br/> Consequently, torsional vibration of high-speed diesel engine induced vibration nosise, reduced horsepower and the like,<br/> Viscous damper which is thought to be effective in curtailing the torsional vibration was studied over a wide range of speed. In this investigation, a water cooling, 4-cycle high-speed die<br/> sel engine (Max. 3500 rpm) was used for the study.<br/> Theoretical analysis was made by assuming the engine to be an ideal equivalent system (Iength, moment of inertia) i.e.the multi-degree of freedom equivalent torsional vibration system with damper Was analyzed.<br/> In the analysis, the inertia moment of suitable damper for this experiment Was calculated by varying the relative damping coefficient of damper of engine for each damper. Furthermore, in<br/> the torsional vibration experiment, the torsional vibration amplitude of the crankshaft system was measured when the engine was equipped with dampers of different moments of inertia and<br/> also when the engine was equipped without dampers. The experimental results were compared with the analytical values and were found to be satisfied. The results of this investigation are summarizd below:<br/> (1) It was found that for the engine equipped with dampers, the torsional vibration amplitude was reduced to about one third of those without dampers.<br/> (2) The optimum value of inertia moment of viscous damper for the engine was found to be about Id=1.05 (kgㆍcmㆍs²)<br/> (3) The optimum damping coefficient and the ratio of moment of inertia for the engine were found to be about Cd≒850 (kgㆍcmㆍs), Rd=0.509, respectively(B1 dapmper).

In order to meet increasingly stringent emission standards, extensive research has been earned out to explore exhaust gas recirculation (EOR) to reduce NOx from diesel engines. Usually, reducing the oxygen concentration by EOR, however, results in a higher Smoke level.<br/> The effect of EOR on NOx and Smoke emissions in heavy duty diesel engine are studied numerically using a multi-dimensional code. Turbulent flows are simulated using the RNO k- ε model as a governing equation. For atomization, TAB and wave instability breakup are modeled. And using the Watkins-Park model and Zeldo'vich model, wall impingement, NOx and Smoke formation respectively. Effect of EOR on NOx and Smoke have been discussed in details<br/>

A number of automobiles are increasing and control on automobile emission is getting stringent. Since 1990 year, EPA in USA has forced to solve environmental problems properly through related law. In Japan and European countries, many other research activities are involved. In order to meet near future's severe emission regulations for automobile engines, and to replace limited natural resources LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) engines have been studied.<br/> The system of LPG vehicle is different nom gasoline engine and it consists of pressure fuel tank, vaporizer, mixer, and ECM (Electronic Control Module). Currently in Korea small gasoline vehicle are being replaced by LPG engine because of its cost However, control on the fuel and air ratio is not precise due to mixer and the effects on emission reduction are not desirable even though fuel supplied to injector at the intake port or inside of cylinder chamber.<br/> This study is focused on the development of control logic utilizing new concept of fuel supplying and control system. This new system is applied to a 1800cc LPG vehicle and carefully.<br/>
