총 IgE의 신속한 정량 측정을 위한 ImmuneCheck IgE의 임상적 유용성

Purpose: Conventional serum IgE assay was costly, required the skills of expert, and relied heavily on expensive equipment. Quanti tative measurement of total IgE using Point of Care Test (POCT) device can be the solution for these limitations. This study evaluated and validated the reproducibility of ImmuneCheck IgE. Methods: This study included 120 patients of allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, drug allergy, food allergy, atopic der matitis, or anaphylaxis . The reliability of POCT ImmuneCheck IgE was evaluated by comparing results from the naked eye and from the Q-Reader. Intratest reproducibility and intertest correlation were analyzed using intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC). Results: Of the 120 enrolled patients, 51 were males and 69 were females. The ages ranged from 19 to 84 years, with an average age of 51.5 years. The concentration of serum total IgE measured by Phadia ImmunoCAP IgE ranged from 5.95 to 5,000 IU/mL. ICC for In tratest reproducibility of ImmuneCheck IgE by naked eye and by Q-Reader were 0.991 (P<0.001) and 0.989 (P<0.001), respectively. In addition, intertest correlation between ImmuneCheck IgE and Phadia ImmunoCAP IgE results of naked eye and Q-Reader were 0.968 (P<0.001) and 0.948 (P<0.001), respectively. Conclusion: The ImmuneCheck IgE was reproducible and highly correlated with conventional Phadia ImmunoCAP IgE assay. This result suggests that ImmuneCheck IgE can be a useful tool for rapid and precise detection of total IgE. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2018;6:310-314)

미국의 흑인운동 : Integrationism and Nationalism

이 논문은 사회운동을 연구하는 데에서 '部門', '領域', '公共圈域' 등의 개념이 유용한 분석 도구가 되리라는 것을 전제한다. 이러한 전제 하에 이 논문은 미국사회 흑인운동의 주요 움직임들이 部門, 領域, 그리고 公共圈域의 어느 편에 위치하고 있는가를 분석하기 보다는 현대 미국사회 흑인운동의 중요한 흐름이 어떠한가 하는 것을 파악하는 데 치중하였다. 미국사회 흑인운동의 두 가지 큰 흐름은 '統合主義的'인 것으로 구분할 수 있다. 이는 앞으로도 그 영향력을 간과할 수 없는 두 가지의 큰 흐름이다. 모든 사회운동은 상징-가치를 중심으로 운동을 전개해나가는 경향과 상징-가치에 치중하기 보다는 조직활등을 강조하는 경향으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 미국사회의 흑인운동들 중 통합주의에 기초하여 상징-가치를 강조한 운동의 예로 마르틴 루터 킹(Martin Luther King Jr.)을 들었고 이러한 통합주의적 정신을 조직운동에 응용한 예로 NAACP(National Association of Advancement of Colored People)를 들었다. 그리고 통합주의와는 다른 지향으로서 분리주의에 기초한 흑인운동의 대표적 예로는 말콤 엑스(Malcolm X)와 마커스 가아비(Marcus Garvey)를 들었다. 이 가운데 말콤 엑스는 상징-가치를 강조하였으며 가아비는 분리주의 정신을 조직(UNIA)에 응용하였다. In defining black movements in America, this paper postulates that the concepts of 'realm' and 'public-sphere' are useful for analyzing social movements. The first aim of this paper is to grasp the main streams of black movements in modern American society by using the two concepts mentioned above. The main streams of black movements in America can be roughly classified into 'integrationism' and 'nationalism', which have had a distinct and continuous influence on black movements. All social movements van be classified into two types. One puts emphasis on 'symbo-lvalue' and the other on movement organization. This paper analyzed such cases as Marcus Gravey, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., and the NAACP. Martin Luther King Jr. emphasizes 'symbol-value' based on 'integrationism' and the NAACP applied 'integrationism' to organizaing movement group. The argue of Malcolm X and that of Marcus Garvey were commonly based on 'black nationalism', but they are not compeletely identical. White Malcolm X focused on 'symbol-value', Garvey tended to give weight to 'separatism' in organizing movement group, the UNIA.
