        강바닥판교의 종리브-횡리브 교차연결 상세변화에 따른 최적설계방안의 수치해석 연구

        최근 장대화 되어가는 강교량의 건설 기술발전에 따라, 자중이 가벼운 강바닥판 형식의 교량 사용이 증가되고 있다. 그러나 강바닥판 교량은 피로에 매우 취약한 구조형식이며, 특히 종리브와 횡리브가 교차되는 상세부에서의 피로균열은 강바닥판 교량이 가지고 있는 가장 큰 문제점 중 하나이다. 이러한 피로균열의 발생원인은 횡리브의 면외거동에 의한 2차 응력으로부터 유발된다. 본 연구에서는 강바닥판 교량의 피로균열을 억제하고, 종리브-횡리브 교차연결부의 상세개선을 위해 3차원 실물모형체의 피로실험과 범용구조해석 프로그램인 LUSAS를 이용한 세부변수 해석을 병행하여 최적의 상세를 제시하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 국내 표준단면 형상에 곡선형 벌크헤드 플레이트를 부착한 상세가 가장 유리한 것으로 나타났으며, 세부 변수해석에 의한 개선 단면 적용시 발생되는 응력값이 최대의 경우 약 50%이상까지 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 응력의 감소와 함께 횡리브의 간격 증대(G=400)에 따른 4%의 강재량과 34%의 용접길이 감소로 제작원가 절감 및 피로에 유리한 강바닥판교의 제작이 가능하게 되었다. The use of the othotropic steel deck is steadily increased due to the advance of the technology in the steel bridges which recently have been longer. But the othotropic steel deck bridge is the structure that is very fragile to the fatigue, especially, the fatigue crack at the cross of the longitudinal rib and transversal rib is one of the biggest problems that othotropic steel deck bridges have. The causes of these fatigue cracks come from the secondary stress on out-plane behavior of transversal rib. In this study, we conducted the experiment to find the optimal details to improve fatigue strength on intersection between longitudinal rib and transversal rib in the othotropic steel deck bridge through numerical analysis using the experiment of the fatigue in the 3-dimensional real structure and program LUSAS. As a result of study, it is showed that the details of the korean standard section attached with a curved bulkhead plate is the most profitable. And, it is indicated that the stress which is generated when the reform improved section by parametic study can be reduced by about 50% at most or more. Along with the reduced stress and the longer interval between transversal ribs(G=400), the decreased steel amount by 4% and the shortened welding length by 34% make it possible to produce the othotropic steel deck bridge which is strong against fatigue.

        Behivior of Preflex Beam in Manufacturing Process

        This paper presents the results of research on the behavior of preflex beam considering manufacturing process. A series of test-specimen were made and tested, which included the traditional preflex beam, preflex beams with additional shear connectors above the bottom flange and the beams with some shear keys. The test results are compared with the values given in the design code and analytical results using finite element method with 3-D model. Time dependent effects are also estimated and compared with the values given in design code. It is found that the effects of residual stress in steel girder are greater than expected, which results in more loss of camber, and the produced stress due to shrinkage of casing concrete are far greater than the values given in design code, which may cause the tension cracks in casing concrete of bottom flange. Based on the results of the study, a few proposals are made for improving the quality and durability of preflex beam.

        Experimental Study on Fatigue Strength of In-plane Welded Gusset Joints

        This paper presents the results of three phases of fatigue tests for the fatigue strength of in-plane welded gusset joints which are most common details inevitably existed in the region of high stress range. Totally fifty seven fatigue specimens with various thickness and strengths were made and the tensile fatigue tests were performed. One full scale beam fatigue tests was also carried out. The validity of the fatigue strengths of those details in specification was proved and the effects of thickness of flanges and welded attachments, length of attachments and the strength of applied steel were examined. The characteristics of crack initiation and propagation were also observed. The test results are evaluated by comparing with other test data and the fatigue criteria of other countries. In order to find out the degree of stress concentration in the weld toe depending on geometric configuration such as the attachment length and transition radius, analytical works were also carried out. Comparing with present specification, analytical results indicate that there are need of revising and subdividing the detail categories.

        무한피로수명 강바닥판 시스템의 개발

        This paper presents detailed research procedures and results to develop fatigue free orthotropic steel deck system. The developed system controls concentrated stresses in fatigue-vulnerable regions without changing 14mm deck thickness by installing bulkhead plates inside u-ribs at the location of transverse rib. Parametric studies on adequate number of transverse and u-ribs and boundary conditions are conducted to evaluate the suitability of finite element models. Experimental results assure the efficiencies of bulkhead plates and fatigue categories. Additional parametric studies on shapes of scallop and bulkhead plate and its initial welding locations inside u-ribs result in fatigue free deck system having nominal stresses in five fatigue-vulnerable regions less than the cut-off limits of corresponding category. 이 논문은 무한피로수명을 갖는 강바닥판 시스템을 개발하기 위한 연구 과정 및 내용을 정리한 것이다. 강바닥판의 두께를14mm로 유지하면서 가로리브 위치의 U리브 내에 벌크헤드 플레이트를 설치하여 피로취약부의 응력을 제어하도록 하였다. 기본해석모델을 구성하고 가로리브 및 U리브 개수, 경계조건 등을 변수로 한 해석을 통해 이 연구에 적용할 해석모델의 적합성을 검증하였다. 실험을 통해 벌크헤드 플레이트의 효과를 확인하였으며, 피로취약부의 피로상세범주를 확인하였다. 가로리브 스캘럽 형상, 벌크헤드플레이트의 형상 및 U리브 내의 용접위치 등을 변수로 한 해석을 수행하여 피로설계하중에 대해 강바닥판 시스템의 다섯 피로취약부에서 발생하는 공칭응력이 각 상세에 해당하는 무한수명 공칭피로강도 보다 작게 발생하는 강바닥판 시스템을 개발하여 제시하였다.

      • U-Rib를 적용한 강바닥판교의 피로강도에 대한 실험적 연구

        This paper presents the results of investigating the general behavior and fatigue strength of orthotropic steel deck plate system with internal diaphragms. Two types of section that is considered best details were selected, which are typical Korea standard section, and Rabbit type section widely used in Europe. Internal daiphragms were installed to verify the reduction of stress range and its effiency. Instead of fillet welding for the connection of longitudinal rib and floor beam which is widely used in Korea, full penetration welding was applied partly. To simulate the real behavior of orthotropic steel deck system, three dimensional specimen was made, and loading conditons were decided considerably in-plane stress and both in-plane and out-of-plane stress effects. With this specimen, total cycle of 2,530,000 fatigue test was performed. Five fatigue cracks were developed at the area under in-plane and out-of-plane stress. Most of cracks were developed above the fatigue strength presented in AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification. Some cracks were below the fatigue strength as expected, because of imperfection of end of the welding and imperfect scallop radius by wrapping. It is known that quality of welding, scallop radius, and loading condition control fatigue strength in orthotropic steel deck.

        Shaking Table Test of Steel Cylindrical Liquid Storage Tank Considering the Roof Characteristics

        Steel cylindrical tanks are widely used for the storage of hazardous substances of which leakage must be prevented under any circumstances. However, the dynamic response of the steel cylindrical liquid storage tank depends sensitively on the fl uid– structure interaction and the vibration of the tank structure and necessitates clarifi cation for the safety of the tank structure. This paper presents the results of shaking table tests performed to examine the dynamic behavior of a scaled cylindrical steel tank model considering the presence or not of fi xed roof and added mass at the top of the tank for various fl uid levels. The test results confi rm the occurrence of both beam-type and oval-type vibration modes and show that the larger content of liquid inside the container amplifi ed the acceleration along the height of the cylindrical tank. The oval-type vibration modes are seen to be more dominant in case of large water-to-structure mass ratio.
