        수적(垂滴)법을 이용한 이산화탄소 지중저장 조건에서의 염수-이산화탄소 간 계면장력 측정

        This experimental study was aimed to estimate interfacial tension of brine-$CO_2$ by using a pendant bubble method and image analysis. Measurements were performed for wide ranges of temperatures, pressures, and salinities covering reservoir conditions in Pohang basin, a possible candidate for $CO_2$ storage operation in Korea. The profiles of $CO_2$ bubbles in brine obtained from image analysis with the densities of brine and $CO_2$ from previous studies were applied to Laplace-Young equation for calculating interfacial twnsion in brine-$CO_2$ system. The experimental results reveals that the interfacial tension is significantly affected by reservoir conditions such as pressure, temperature and water salinity. For conditions of constant temperature and water salinity, the interfacial tension decreases as pressure increases for low pressures (P < $P_c$), and approaches to a constant value for high pressures. For conditions of constant pressure and water salinity, the interfacial tension increases as temperature increases for T < $T_c$, with an asymptotic trend towards a constant value for high temperatures. For conditions of constant pressure and temperature, the interfacial tension increases with increasing water salinity. The trends in changes of interfacial tension can be explained by the effects of the reservoir conditions on the density difference of brine and $CO_2$, and the solubility of $CO_2$ in brine. The information on interfacial tensions obtained from this research can be applied in predicting the migration and distribution of injecting and residual fluids in brine-$CO_2$-rock systems in deep geological environments during geological $CO_2$ sequestrations.

        계면활성제가 공극 구조 내 비혼성 유체의 거동과 분포에 미치는 영향

        대규모로 포집된 이산화탄소를 고갈된 석유·가스 저류층, 대염수층과 같은 심부 지질구조에 주입하는 이산화탄소 지중저장은 대기중 CO2 배출을 저감하기 위한 가장 유망한 기술 중 하나로 연구되고 있다. 이산화탄소 지중저장은 공극수로 포화된 다공성 지질 구조 내부로 초임계상 이산화탄소를 주입함으로써 그 흐름이 공극수와 비혼성 대체를 일으키며 진행된다. 따라서, 공극 구조 내에서 초임계상 이산화탄소와 공극수의 거동과 분포, 그리고 그 결과로 나타나는 대체효율은 두 유체의 상호작용에 의해 좌우되는데, 특히, 점성력과 모세관력은 지질 구조 내부의 환경 조건과 주입 조건에 의해 결정된다. 본 연구에서는 상온상압조건에서 대체유체를 수적법에 적용하여 고온고압조건에서 계면활성제가 초임계상 이산화탄소와 공극수 간 계면장력에 미치는 영향을 산정하였다. 또한, 다공성 매체 내에서의 비혼성 유체의 거동과 분포 양상을 관찰함으로써 계면활성제 농도가 초임계상 이산화탄소의 대체율에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 초임계상 이산화탄소와 공극수의 대체 유체로서 헥산과 탈이온수를 적용하는 마이크로모델 실험을 수행하였으며, 공극 구조 내로의 헥산 주입에 의한 탈이온수의 대체 과정을 정량적으로 분석하기 위하여 이미징 시스템을 통해 두 유체의 비혼성 대체 양상에 관한 이미지를 확득하여 분석하였다. 실험의 결과는 계면활성제의 첨가는 낮은 농도에서도 헥산과 탈이온수 간 계면장력을 급격하게 감소시키며 이후 농도가 증가함에 따라 일정한 값에 접근하는 양상을 보여주었으며, 이러한 변화는 다공성 매체 내부의 공극 규모에서 진입 유체의 흐름 경로에 직접적인 영향을 미침으로써 평형 상태에서 헥산의 대체율에도 동일한 효과를 나타내는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 다공성 매체 내에서 일어나는 비혼성 유체의 대체에 관한 중요한 정보를 제공하며, 계면활성제의 적용이 이산화탄소 지중저장의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다. The geological CO2 sequestration in underground geological formation such as deep saline aquifers and depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs is one of the most promising options for reducing the atmospheric CO2 emissions. The process in geological CO2 sequestration involves injection of supercritical CO2 (scCO2) into porous media saturated with pore water and initiates CO2 flooding with immiscible displacement. The CO2 migration and distribution, and, consequently, the displacement efficiency is governed by the interaction of fluids. Especially, the viscous force and capillary force are controlled by geological formation conditions and injection conditions. This study aimed to estimate the effects of surfactant on interfacial tension between the immiscible fluids, scCO2 and porewater, under high pressure and high temperature conditions by using a pair of proxy fluids under standard conditions through pendant drop method. It also aimed to observe migration and distribution patterns of the immiscible fluids and estimate the effects of surfactant concentrations on the displacement efficiency of scCO2. Micromodel experiments were conducted by applying n-hexane and deionized water as proxy fluids for scCO2 and porewater. In order to quantitatively analyze the immiscible displacement phenomena by n-hexane injection in pore network, the images of migration and distribution pattern of the two fluids are acquired through a imaging system. The experimental results revealed that the addition of surfactants sharply reduces the interfacial tension between hexane and deionized water at low concentrations and approaches a constant value as the concentration increases. Also it was found that, by directly affecting the flow path of the flooding fluid at the pore scale in the porous medium, the surfactant showed the identical effect on the displacement efficiency of n-hexane at equilibrium state. The experimental observation results could provide important fundamental information on immiscible displacement of fluids in porous media and suggest the potential to improve the displacement efficiency of scCO2 by using surfactants.

        다공성 매체 내 비혼성 대체 과정에서 주입 유량이 거동 양상에 미치는 영향

        A series of experiments using transparent micromodels with an artificial pore network etched on glass plates was performed to investigate the effects of flow rate on the migration and distribution of resident wetting porewater (deionized water) and injecting non-wetting fluid (n-hexane). Multicolored images transformed from real RGB images were used to distinguish n-hexane from porewater and pore structure. Hexane flooding followed by immiscible displacement with porewater, migration through capillary fingering, preferential flow and bypassing were observed during injection experiments. The areal displacement efficiency increases as the injection of n-hexane continues until the equilibrium reaches. Experimental results showed that the areal displacement efficiency at equilibrium increases as the flow rate increases. Close observation reveals that preferential flowpaths through larger pore bodies and throats and clusters of entrapped porewater were frequently created at lower flow rate. At higher flow rate, randomly oriented forward and lateral flowpaths of n-hexane displaces more porewater at an efficiency close to stable displacement. It may resulted from that the pore pressure of n-hexane, at higher flow rate, increases fast enough to overcome capillary pressure acting on smaller pore throats as well larger ones. Experimental results in this study may provide fundamental information on migration and distribution of immiscible fluids in subsurface porous media.

        공극 구조 내 비혼성 대체 과정에서 주입 온도가 유체 거동에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 이산화탄소 지중저장 과정에서 주입 유체의 온도 변화가 심부 지질구조 내로 주입된 초임계 이산화탄소의 거동과 대체율에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 규명하기 위하여 초임계 이산화탄소 대체 유체인 헥산을 적용한 마이 크로모델 실험을 수행하였다. 본 실험에서는 탈이온수로 포화된 마이크로모델 내부로 헥산의 주입이 개시되는 시점부터 헥산과 공극수의 분포가 평형상태를 이루는 시점까지의 비혼성 대체 과정을 시각적으로 관찰하였다. 실험을 통하여 획득한 이미지는 분석 프로그램을 통하여 전체 공극 구조에 대한 헥산의 대체 면적비를 산정하는데 사용하였으며, 단일 공극 규모에서와 거시적 규모에서의 헥산과 공극수의 거동 및 분포 분석을 통하여 주입 유체의 온도가 비혼성 대체 과정에 미치는 영향을 규명하였다. 주입 유체의 온도 변화에 따른 관측 실험의 결과, 온도가 증가함에 따라 점도, 밀도, 계면장력 등과 같은 유체의 물성 및 공극 구조에 작용하는 모관압의 변화로 인하여 헥산의 대체 면적비는 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 이러한 실험 결과는 효율적인 이산화탄소 지중저장을 수행하기 위해서는 이산화탄소 주입이 이루어지는 심부 지질구조의 환경 및 주입 조건에 대한 이해가 필수적임을 시사하였다. The viscous force of fluids and the capillary force acting on the pore network of the porous media are important factors determining the immiscible displacement during geological CO 2 sequestration, these were directly affected by geological formation conditions and injection conditions. This study aimed to observe the migration and distribution of injected fluid and pore water, and quantitatively investigate displacement efficiency on various injection temperatures. This study aimed to perform micromodel experiments by applying n-hexane used as a proxy fluid for supercritical CO 2 . In this study, immiscible displacement process from beginning of n-hexane injection to equilibrium of the distribution of the n-hexane and pore water was observed. The images from experiment were used to observe the displacement pattern and estimate the areal displacment efficiency of the n-hexane. For investigate the affects of the injection temperatures on the migration in macroscopic, migration of n-hexane in single pore was analyzed. The measurement revealed that the displacement efficiency at equilibrium state decreases as the temperature increases. The result from experiments indicate that the temperatures can affect the displacement pattern by changing the viscous forces and the capillary forces. The experimental results could provide important fundamental information on reservoir conditions and fluid injection conditions during geological CO 2 sequestration.

        시민참여 전국자연환경조사 데이터의 특성

        Citizen participation data has different characteristics from expert. Understanding the unique attributes of citizen participation data and considering the disparities between such data and that collected by experts is of paramount importance to harness citizen-generated data effectively. In this regard, location information was presented for five taxa of plants, insects, birds, amphibians, and mammals nationwide surveyed by citizens in 2022, excluding endangered species. Additionally, species information and administrative district information are included. It is anticipated that the integration of citizen participation survey results with expert research findings will enhance the efficacy of natural ecological monitoring. By directly collecting ecological data, which becomes the basic data for natural environment policy, opportunities for public participation in natural environment policy will be expanded, and through this, it will be possible to raise awareness of natural environment conservation.

        해남 모이산 인근 토양 및 농작물의 셀레늄(Se) 분포 특성

        해남 모이산 천열수 광산 주변의 열수변질작용에 의한 암석, 토양과 농작물간의 셀레늄의 상호작용을 규명하기 위하여, 모이산 인근의 토양과 농작물 시료를 채취 분석하였다. 토양시료는 6개의 산 토양과 6개의 밭 토양을 대상으로 수분함량, pH, ICP, XRD, XRF 분석을 통해 구성 광물과 원소함량을 분석하였으며, 농작물 시료는 토양과의 관계를 파악하기 위해 이 지역에서 재배된 양파와 대파를 대상으로 원소함량을 분석하였다. 토양에 대한 XRD 분석 결과, 주요 구성광물은 석영과 장석이며, 그 외 열수변질작용에 의해 일라이트, 녹니석과 적철석을 포함하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 산 토양과 밭 토양의 pH는 각각 4.6~4.9와 5.2~6.7로 나타났는데, 산 토양에 비하여 밭 토양의 pH가 높게 나타난 것은 영농에 의한 비료시비가 원인으로 판단되었다. 원소함량 분석 결과, 비료의 영향이 크게 작용하는 밭 토양에서 산 토양에서는 검출되지 않았던 K(24.81~79.49 ppm), Ca(29.27~116.33 ppm) 등이 다량 함유한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 경향은 작물에서도 나타나는데, 상대적으로 높은 농도의 K(116.89~169.79 ppm), Ca(20.18~32.29 ppm)가 농작물에 흡수되어 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 토양 시료에서의 Se 함량은 18.35~70.31 ppb의 범위로 분석되어 분석 시료간 유의미한 차이를 나타내지는 않았으나, 양파(119.48~179.50 ppb)와 대파(146.65 ppb)에서는 많은 양의 Se이 검출되었다. 이는 작물에 따라 각 원소에 대한 흡수율이 상이하여 농축도 역시 다르게 나타나는 것으로 판단되었다. Samples from soils and crops were collected and analyzed in order to investigate the interactions of selenium among rocks, soils, and crops by hydrothermal alteration near epithermal mines in the region of Mio-san, Haenam. Soil samples included 6 samples each from mountain and farm area and compositional minerals and their contents were analyzed by water content, pH, ICP, XRD, XRF. Crop samples from onion and scallion were analyzed for chemical composition to elucidate the relationship with soils. Results from XRD analysis for soil samples showed that major compositional minerals are qualtz and feldspar, and illite, chlorite, hematite formed by hydrothermal alteration were included on a small scale. The pH ranges of soil samples from mountain and farm were measured at 4.6~4.9 and 5.2~6.7, respectively. The higher pH in farm soils may result from fertilization during agricultural activities. Results from ICP analysis showed that, compared to soil samples from mountain area with no potassium and calcium, significant amount of K and Ca were detected in soil samples from farms which is affected by fertilization. In a similar manner, potassium and calcium were absorbed and detected in crop samples at relatively high concentrations (116.89~169.79 ppm for K and 20.18~32.29 ppm for Ca). While the selenium contents in soil samples ranged from 18.35 ppb to 70.31 ppb which showed no significant difference, high concentrations of selenium were detected in onion (119.48~179.50 ppb) and scallion (146.65 ppb). These difference in enrichment for each element may result from the distinctive adsorption characteristics depending on crops.

        수원역 환승 보행 과정에 나타난 시지각 반응과 보행특성

        This study analyzes the effect of spatial characteristics on behavioral patterns and behavioral factors by examining the correlation with spatial structure, targeting the walking characteristics accompanying the visual behavior of users in subway spaces through a path finding experiment to get to the destination. A preliminary experiment (2 persons) and main experiment (28 persons) were conducted in the field. The experiment participant wears SMI"s Eye Tracking Glasses 2 Wireless eye-tracking equipment, recognizes the phrase of purpose, starts from Ref. 1 and moves to Ref. 4, the end of the experiment, exit 13. The behavior was tracked by the experimenter with the OSMO Pocket OT 110. The time required for the experiment was about 40-50 minutes from the prior explanation to the post-test questionnaire. A total of 27 behavior recording images, excluding error data from one person, could be extracted from the behavior record image, and gaze data for this behavior record image were also extracted. Through the results show that experiment, the behavioral number, duration and fixation frequency activation frequency could be extracted, and it was analyzed that sign guidance and entrance information had a main influence on visual information.

        The purpose of this research is to select cases of community centers in which spatial improvement has been implemented in Seoul, and to find ways to improve point of the community center in the study area using an observational search technique focusing on the relationship between user and space as a public service design methodology. A total of 5 cases were investigated, and they directly visited the space and conducted an interview questionnaire. Problems of the spatial status were derived from the spatial domain derived from the use flow of visitors to the study site, and compared and analyzed with the improved elements in the research cases.
