        A digital holographic memory system was realized by storing and retrieving multiple binary encoded images in photorefractive crystal utilizing angular multiplexing technique. As an example, a part of Lena (64x64)image encoded by Reed-Solomon code were stored and retrieved.

        Even though financial reporting is a regulated activity and is likely to continue as such, it is useful to evaluate the arguments both for and against formal regulation. Such an evaluation helps us understand the nature of accounting regulation and some of the consequences that flow from it. Because regulation does exist and is likely to continue, it is examined the nature of regulatory decision making and its influence on parties affected by regulation. This examination aids in understanding how the regulatory process works. The arguments for and against financial reporting regulation force us to consider why we regulate, who benefits, and who pays the costs. Since regulation is a matter of public interest, the benefits of regulation should clearly be in the public interest and the benefits should exceed costs. However, certain individuals benefit directly, while others incur the cost. An analysis of the economic consequences of regulation helps to evaluate these benefits and costs and their fairness. Regulation is a political process and self-interest may motivate individuals and groups to participate. This places the regulator in the role of weighting sometimes conflicting positions and trying to determine what is in the best interests of society as a whole. Due process and neutrality are critical to regulatory success if the regulation is to retain the support of both the regulated parties and society generally. All these requirements are difficult for a regulatory agency to accomplish, and there is always the danger that vested-interest groups may capture the regulatory process and divert it to private ends. The rationale or justification for regulation rests on the public-interest argument. However, a paradox exists. There is no way of determining optimal regulatory policies that maximize social welfare or the public interest. The best that regulators can do is to try to determine that a net benefit exists. Benefits are difficult to identify and measure, although there is evidence that accounting information is useful to investors. Costs are somewhat easier to quantify. There is some reason to believe regulation costs are low because most of the information contained in financial reports is produced as a by-product of firms' accounting systems. Overall, then, there is reason to believe that accounting regulation produces a net benefit to society. However, as was argued in the review, there is no way to determine if either regulated or unregulated financial reporting results in a society optimal allocation of resources to the production of accounting information. This indeterminancy, by itself, favors neither regulated nor unregulated financial reporting.

      • 충돌 에너지 흡수성능 향상을 위한 자동차 도어의 설계

        The passenger safeties become more important issue as the car industry develops. Auto doors play a great role to protect passengers from side car collision accidents. Side impact bars have been utilized to reinforce the stiffness of doors. In this study, the polyurethane foam materials are used to increase the stiffness and impact energy absorption performance. The side impact analysis between door and circular pole is carried out using LS-DYNA3D. The polyurethane foam material shows better ability than the conventional impact bar in absorbing the impact energy. Higher density foam materials deforms less than lower density foam materials, but the trends is an opposite way for the acceleration point of view.

        The goal of this paper is to design the stabilization circuit needed to find the auto-control method of D.C. bias for staying in maximum dynamic ranges of broadband mach-zehnder inherent electrooptical modulators. The optical communication systems play the main role in the communication networks of information society. And increasing the domestic use of broadband B-lSDN, it is needed to use the broadband characteristics of optical fibers effectively. The electrooptical integrated modulators based on the low-loss optical evaluated to the important device capable of the high efficiency and the broadband for electrooptical systems. On the case of constituting the multiple network including the time division, and the coherent method, this electrooptical high-speed device is to be necessary. And compared with the advanced foreign countries where already developed the commercial devices, it is necessary to study and develop these devices. The phase mismatching, dispersion, and electrode loss, etc, limit the modulation band of electrooptical modulators. And movement of modulator Q-point causes the 2nd harmonics of output signals, thus the stable characteristics of electrochemical modulators may not be expected.

      • 오염된 평판 애자의 직류 플래시오버 메카니즘에 관한 연구

        A laboratory testing was adopted to investigate the problem of flashover of insulators under contaminated de conditions. The role of salient parameters during the flashover process such as electrochemical properties of contaminant, formation of dry and clean zone on the surface were characterized. A dc flashover model based on the experimental findings was proposed. The model took into accoumt the effect of different polarities. Critical conditions that are necessary for flashover to occur were determined. Experimental data are in good agreement with the proposed theories.

      • 비스(μ-옥소-몰리브덴닐(V))이온과 티오시안산이온의 반응속도와 메카니즘

        Mo2O4ClX(4+x)-와 티오시안산 이온과의 반응은 분광광도법에 의해서 수행되었다. 시간에 따른 in(A∞ - At)의 그림은 5반감기까지 직선성을 보여주었다. kobs는 k1[SCN-] + k-1로 주어지며 속도상수는 [SCN-]에 일차임을 보여준다. 여기서 k1는 정반응속도상수이고 k-1는 역반응속도상수이다. [Mo2O4ClX](4+X)-와 SCN-와의 반응은 수소이온농도에 의존하며 아주 좋은 재현성을 보여주었다. From the aqueous solution of Cs2[MoOCl5] it were produced [Mo2O4Cl4(H2O)2]2-. The reaction of thiocyanate with [Mo2O4Cl4(H2O)2]2- have been carried out by spectrophotometric method. The plots of in (A∞-At) against time were linear for 5 half-lives. A linear dependence on thiocyanate ion concentration were contained kobs= k1[NCS-] + k-1 where k1 is forward rate constant and k-1 back rate constant. It is obtained that the anation of SCN- with [Mo2O4Cl4(H2O)2]2- is dependent on hydrogen ion concentration. [H+] dependence was highly reproducible and defenitive.

        In the information society, reasonable and efficient attitude is required in ordinary life. It is regarded as a liberal art in these days therefore commercial book-keeping is needed not only by people who engage in business but also by common people. For this reason, the students should take the commercial economics, commercial book-keeping and electronic data processing system as compulsory subjects in vocational course of general high school in 6th curriculum. The purpose of this paper is to examine how commercial book-keeping using the CAI program can influence classwork achievement and to search for an effective learning method to implement this program.
