청소년 온라인 독자의 LESC 독해 처리 과정 모형에 기반한 읽기 교수 학습 프로그램 개발 연구

본 연구는 우리나라 청소년 온라인 독자를 대상으로 온라인 읽기 교육을 위한 온라인 읽기 교수 학습 프로그램을 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2013년도에 시행된 1차년도 연구에서는 우리나라 청소년 약 2,000명의 온라인 읽기 수행 및 온라인 읽기 태도에 대한 특성 분석을 실시하였고 능숙한 온라인 독자에 해당하는 청소년을 대상으로 한 온라인 독해 처리 양상을 질적으로 분석하였다. 2014년도 시행된 2차년도에서는 1차년도 연구 결과인 우리나라 청소년 온라인 독자 특성 분석과 Leu et al.(2004)의 LESC 모형에 관한 선행 연구를 토대로 청소년 온라인 독자의 LESC독해 처리 과정 모형에 기반한 읽기 교수 학습 프로그램 개발 연구를 실시하였다. LESC 단계별로 9개의 온라인 독해 기능을 추출하였고, 18개의 온라인 독해 전략을 추출하였다. LESC 온라인 독해 과정 및 온라인 독해 기능 및 전략에 대한 개관 단원, 2개의 온라인 읽기 실제 단원 총 3개의 단원을 약 20차시 단위로 구성되어 있다. 개발된 프로그램은 온라인 읽기 교수법인 인터넷 상보적 교수법(The Internet Reciprocal Teaching Model)을 적용하여 교사의 안내된 읽기 지도와 모델링, 동료들과 협력, 독립적 탐구의 3단계로 수업이 이루어지도록 구성되었고, 온라인 읽기의 실제성을 높이기 위해 DocZoom creator 저작 도구를 활용하여 웹 기반의 교재를 개발 하였다. The aims of this study is to develop online reading instruction program based LESC online reading process model for adolescent online reader. LESC online reading process entail the reading to locate, reading to evaluate, reading to synthesize, reading and writing to communicate. LESC online reading model was developed by Leu, Kinzer, Coiro, & Cammack(2004), this model was the initial basis of korean adolescent readers LESC reading process model. Online reading instruction program based LESC online reading process model for Korean adolescent online reader is consist of 9 online reading sub skills and 18 online reading strategies related LESC reading process. This Online reading instruction program consist of 3 units based internet reciprocal teaching(IRT). In First unit, teacher introduce LESC online reading process, phased online reading sub-skills and online reading strategies and students practice online reading task examples. In Second unit, teacher suggest authentic online reading task about Korean students sleep problems and students read online texts searching internet. In third units, teacher suggest authentic online reading task about the relating SNS and Students friendship and students read online texts searching internet.

LESC 온라인 독해 과정 모형에 따른 청소년 독자의 읽기 특성 분석

이 연구의 목적은 LESC 온라인 독해 과정 모형에 따라 우리나라 청소년 온라인 독자의 읽기 특성을 분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 5명의 능숙한 중학생 독자를 대상으로 하여 LESC 모형의 각 독해 과정별로 나타나는 읽기 특성을 분석하였다. 이들 청소년 온라인 독자들은 개방형 인터넷 환경에서 우리나라 청소년의 평균 수면 시간에 관한 온라인 독해 과제에 참여하였고, 온라인 독해의 과정은 안캠코더(AnCamCoder)를 통해 기록되었으며 읽기과정을 세밀하게 살피기 위해 사고구술법을 적용하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들은 1) 정보 탐색을 위한 읽기, 2) 평가를 위한 읽기, 3) 종합하며 읽기, 4) 의사소통하기 의 4단계의 온라인 독해 과정을 거쳤다. 둘째, 학생들은 정보 탐색적 읽기 단계에서 1) 웹 기반 검색 엔진에 대한 사전지식 활용, 2) 적합한 검색어 선택 및 사용, 3) 전방 추론적 읽기, 4) 훑어 읽기, 6) 찾아 읽기 전략 등을 사용하였다. 셋째, 평가하며 읽기에서 온라인 독자들은 1) 저작자 및 웹사이트 관련 정보 출처에 대한 신뢰도 평가와 2) 정보 내용에 근거한 타당도와 신뢰도 평가하며 읽기 전략을 사용하였다. 넷째, 종합하며 읽기에서 온라인 독자들은 1) 중요 정보에 대한 파악과 종합하기, 2) 여러 정보 자원을 종합하기 전략을 사용하였다. 다섯째, 의사소통하기의 단계는 과제의 제약으로 인해 제한적으로 나타났다. This study explored traits analysis of adolescent online reader based LESC online reading comprehension model. 5 middle school students with high reading score and Internet reading experiences were selected from a population. These 5 completed online reading task that involved reading within websites or using search engine. The results were that 1) online readers processed 4 stage of online reading process involved locating information, critically evaluating information, synthesizing information, communicating information. 2) when located information, they used the strategies; using prior knowledge of search engine systems, key words generating, inferential reasoning reading, scanning. 3) when critically evaluated information, they used the strategies; reliability evaluation of author and websites sources, reliability and validation evaluation of information contents. 4) when synthesized information, they used the strategies; identifying main information and integrating multiple information sources. 5) because of communication task had a limitation, the strategies were not showed apparently.

인터넷 시대의 학부 유학생 읽기 교육에 대한 소고: LESC 인터넷 읽기 모형을 제안하며

The purpose of this study is to discuss how Korean reading education for foreign undergraduate students should be done in the age when Internet reading is universalized. It is necessary to examine what kind of reading lessons are needed to develop the academic ability required by the university. Internet reading education is a kind of multiple-text reading education, and it can play a big role in enhancing the literacy of international students. For this purpose, we examined the flow of reading education for foreign students in Chapter 2 an d discussed the difference between multiple-texts reading and internet reading education. In Chapter 3, we examined the aspect of reading activities and proved the necessity of internet reading education. Chapter 4 introduces the LESC Internet reading processing model and classifies the items to be taught in the Korean reading classroom. Applying these models to Korean reading can enhance higher-level information integration and critical and creative understanding. 본고는 인터넷 읽기가 일반화된 시대에 학부 유학생을 위한 읽기 교육은 어떠한 방향성을 가져야 하는지를 논의한 연구이다. 대학이 요구하는 학술 과제 수행 능력을 배양하기 위하여 어떠한 읽기 수업이 필요한지에 대해서는 지속적으로 연구되고 있다. 인터넷 읽기 교육은 다중 텍스트 읽기 교육의 한 가지로 유학생의 문식성을 높이는 데 큰 역할을 할 수 있다. 이를 위해 본고는 유학생 읽기 교육의 흐름을 살피고 인터넷 읽기 교육의 차별점을 검토하였다. 3장에서는 조사 연구를 통해 유학생들의 읽기 양상을 살펴, 인터넷 읽기 교육의 필요성을 입증하였다. 4장에서는 LESC 인터넷 읽기 처리 모형을 소개하고, 한국어 읽기 강의실에서 교수되어야 할 항목을 분류하였다. 전 과정은 탐색하며 읽기, 평가하며 읽기, 종합하며 읽기, 의사소통하기 등 총 4단계로 이루어진다. 이러한 과제 해결 모형을 한국어 읽기에 적용할 경우 다중 텍스트를 활용에서 얻을 수 있는 비판적・창의적 이해 능력 강화 등 대학 수강에 필요한 능력을 양성할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
