Ball screw systems are largely used in industry for motion control and motor applications. But the problem of noise, which really perplexes us, is highly correlated with the quality in ball screw systems all the way. In this paper, machining process parameters were evaluated in respects of technique, business, produce and quality to verify which impact influences the noise most. In order to adjust and compare, two comparison groups were set with the present parameters bench mark. Different ball screws were produced as specimens for the noise tests. Through comparing the noise performance of different parameters in the machining process respectively, a group of optimized machining process parameters were obtained. Another noise test was proceeded to know how noise performance was improved by optimizing the machining process parameters. At last, surface roughness tests have been done to know how surface roughness improved by optimization. The improvement of surface roughness is the main factor influences the noise performances.

The purpose of this study is to show the friction and wear characteristics on the vapor deposited coating layers on the SCM415 steel. In this research, frictional wear characteristic of coating materials such as Ti-series, Cr-series & WC/C and TiAlN+WC/C multilayer coating was investigated under room temperature, normal air pressure and no lubricating condition. Therefore, this study carried out research on the friction coefficient, micro hardness(Hv), surface roughness and wear quantity on the vapor deposited coating layers on the SCM415 steel. As the wear experimental result, the excellence of TiAlN+WC/C multilayer coating has been proven by high micro-hardness, low friction coefficient and wear quantity.
The Study on the Analytical Prediction of Bearing Life and Load Distribution for Plugin HEV

The transportation is almost dependent on a single fuel petroleum with transportation energy dilemma. Hybrid Electric Vehicle(HEV) technology holds more advantages on efficiency improvements for petroleum consumption at the transportation. And bearing is recognized as the important component of gearbox. Gearboxes for HEV transmission have been ensured the highest reliability over some years in withstanding high dynamic loads. At the same time, the demands of lilghweight design and cost minimization are required by thought-out design, high-quality material, superior production quality and maintenance. In order to design a reliable and lightweight gearbox, it is necessary to analyze bearing rating life methods between standard and different bearing companies with calculation methods for modification factors. In this paper, the influence of life time of bearings will be pointed out. Bearing contact stress and load stress distribution of HEV gearbox are obtained and compared with Romaxdesigner and BearinX. And the unequal wear of the left bearing for the gearbox internediate shaft is investigated between simulation and test.

This study deals with the effect of the honing in SCM420H planetary gears. The hardness, tooth profile, lead and roughness of the gear surface can be improved by honing. Therein, the honing techniques are welcomed especially as one of the physical surface improvement methods. As a result, gear honing reduces vibration and noise, and will increase the life of gear. And gear honing also changes the surface of gear tooth in a short time and price, so it is a very important method in manufacturing industry. But nowadays, it is hard to find the detail information of gear honing. The test gear is a planetary gear which is used in the automotive industry. It is manufactured by the hobbing, shaving, carburizing and honing. This study investigates the effect of honing in surface shape of SCM420H planetary gears, including fatigue strength test and characteristics of honing of SCM420H planetary gears.

In this research, frictional wear characteristic of coating materials such as TiAlN+WC/C Multilayer Coating was investigated under room temperature, normal air pressure and nothing lubricating condition. Therefore this study carried out research on the friction coefficient, micro hardness(Hv), roughness, EPMA on the vapor deposited coating layers on the SCM4l5 steel. As the wear experimental result, the coefficient of friction decreased according to experimental load increases.
