본 논문에서는 비접촉식 근거리 무선통신 방식인 NFC(Near field communications)용 안테나에 있어서, 성능 최적화를 위하여 폭 넓게 사용하고 있는 전자기 흡수체에 따른 안테나의 전기적 성능변화를 분석한다. 다양한 투자율을 갖는 흡수체를 이용하여, 해당 흡수체 적용에 따른 안테나성능 변화를 실험을 통하여 확인하고, 흡수체가 NFC안테나의 성능변화에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 분석하는 방안을 제시한다. In this paper, we analyze the antenna performance variation by the ferrite absorbers which are widely used to optimize the antenna performance in near-field communications(NFC). Using various commercial absorbers, it was confirmed that the absorbers affect the electric performance of NFC antenna, and how to experimentally analyze the electrical influence of the absorbers in NFC antennas is proposed.
Development of a 3-Dimensional Placenta-on-a-Chip Platform for Pre-eclampsia Study

The placenta is an organ that occurs only temporarily during pregnancy and connects the fetus and the mother for exchange materials. As a fetus grows, more and more material exchange is required and, so spiral artery remodeling through trophoblast invasion must be properly performed in the initial pregnancy stage. If this process does not well carry out, it can lead to the abnormal placental development and pre-eclampsia. In this study, we developed an in vitro placenta-on-a-chip which can mimic the microenvironment of the placenta and showed the effect of trophoblast invasion. The 3-dimensional vascular structure was reproduced using Collagen type-1 and Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVECs). The vascular function was confirmed by immunofluorescence assay. Co-culture of HUVECs and trophoblast in 3% hypoxic environment promotes trophoblast invasion and induces changes in vascular structure. This platform is applicable to placenta related studies including drug screening and toxicity test.
