      • 노년 청각손상자와 청각장애의 삶의 질 관련성 연구

        The hearing impairment happened extensively in the elderly and often resulted in the hearing handicap. A lot of study confused the hearing impairment with the hearing handicap and replaced the score of quality of life by the hearing handicap score to calculate the quality adjusted life years and analyzed the cost-utility of aural rehabilitation. In this study, the confusion of hearing impairment and hearing handicap was clarified, and the relevance between hearing handicap and quality of life was explored in order to examine the fitness of replacing the score of quality of life by the hearing handicap score. The result of this study indicated that the correlation between the hearing handicap and the quality of life. The fitness of correlating model of the hearing handicap and the quality of life was not accepted. So, it was not suggested that replacing the score of quality of life by the hearing handicap score. The inventory of disease-specific quality of life should be developed. Secondly, the poor fitness of correlating model of the hearing handicap and the quality of life could be resulted from the other variables that shall be included in the model. It was proposed to include relevant variables into the model in the future. 청각손상은 노년기에 광범위하게 발생하는 문제이다. 심각한 청각장애를 자주 일으킨다. 많은 연구는 청각손상과 청각장애를 혼돈하는 것 뿐 만아니라 자주 청각장애 검목표의 득점으로 피실험자의 생활 품질을 대표한다. 심지어 청각장애 검목표의 득점으로 생활 품질 조정년을 계산한다. 이것으로 청각 재활의 성공 효과를 분석한다. 본 연구는 청각 손상과 청각장애의 다른 점을 밝히는 것 외에도 주요 목적은 청각장애와 생활 품질의 관련성을 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 이것으로 청각장애 검목표를 생활 품질을 삼는 정당성을 관찰한다. 연구결과에 나타나는 것은 청각 표현과 생활품질의 관련성은 높지 않은 결과를 얻었다. 이 두 가지의 관련 양식은 일반화 하기는 제한점을 갖는다. 그래서 이론적 개념에서 청각 표현과 생활품질은 각자 다른 내용을 갖추고 있다. 자료 통계의 분석 결과도 이 두 가지의 관련 양식에 대해서 유의한 결과를 얻지 못했다. 그래서 청각표현 능력으로 피실험자의 생활 품질을 대신할 수 없다. 마땅히 청각 손상자에게 맞는 적합한 생활 품질 설문지를 발행해야한다. 그 다음에 두 가지의 관련 양식의 관련도 적다. 아마도 청각 손상자의 청각 표현과 생활 품질 간에는 많은 변인의 영향이 존재하기 때문이다. 미래의 연구는 더 많은 상관 관련 인소를 귀납해서 이 이론구조를 검증해야한다는 것을 건의한다.

        There is growing evidence that the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is associated with increased risks of psychiatric sequelae. Depression, anxiety, cognitive impairments, sleep disturbance, and fatigue during and after the acute phase of COVID-19 are prevalent, long-lasting, and exerting negative consequences on well-being and imposing a huge burden on healthcare systems and society. This current review presented timely updates of clinical research findings, particularly focusing on the pathogenetic mechanisms underlying the neuropsychiatric sequelae, and identified potential key targets for developing effective treatment strategies for long COVID. In addition, we introduced the Formosa Long COVID Multicenter Study (FOCuS), which aims to apply the inflammation theory to the pathogenesis and the psychosocial and nutrition treatments of post-COVID depression and anxiety.

        Starving Aphelinus asychis negatively affects host feeding and parasitism on Myzus persicae

        Aphelinus asychis (Walker) is an effective biological control agent for many species of aphids found on various crops. To provide strategies for releasing these parasitoids into a crop ecosystem, the effects of a short-duration starvation experiment on A. asychis were measured under laboratory conditions using Myzus persicae (Sulzer) as the host on cabbage and chili pepper plants. The survival rate of starved A. asychis female adults decreased sharply as the starving time increased, and the longevity of the starved parasitoids also decreased significantly. The number of aphids killed by the parasitoids decreased gradually with the extended duration of starvation. In addition, the number of aphids on chili peppers and cabbages killed by starved A. asychis females over their lifespan was significantly lower than that in the control group. Our results indicated that a short period of starvation might not cause significantly negative effects on the parasitoids and may be beneficial for the control of M. persicae at low densities after 1 day; however, starvation for>1 day seriously affected the performance of A. asychis females over their entire lifespan. The parasitoids performed similarly when aphids were fed chili pepper or cabbage plants.

        Sliding Mode-based Predictive Congestion Control in a Satellite Space Information Transmission Network

        A satellite information transmission network is different from a ground network. The link distance between the satellite and the ground is large, and the communication between them is affected by the ionosphere. The ground congestion control algorithm cannot provide fast and stable responses to short-term burst flows. Therefore, aiming at the problem of large propagation delays and the complex environments of satellite-to-ground links, this paper investigates the Vegas congestion mechanism of the Space Communication Protocol Standard Transport Protocol (SCPS-TP), incorporates the interference affecting satellite communication links into a discrete model, combines interference estimation with controller design, proposes a reaching law and sliding mode-based predictive control algorithm for satellite communication, and suggests the stability of the introduced algorithm. The simulation results demonstrate the anti-jamming ability of the proposed algorithm for addressing short-term burst flows, and the prediction mechanism of the algorithm improves the utilization of satellite network bandwidth.

      • Effects of Ribosomal Protein L39-L on the Drug Resistance Mechanisms of Lung Cancer A549 Cells

        Background: Cancer is a major threat to the public health whether in developed or in developing countries. As the most common primary malignant tumor, the morbidity and mortality rate of lung cancer continues to rise in recent ten years worldwide. Chemotherapy is one of the main methods in the treatment of lung cancer, but this is hampered by chemotherapy drug resistance, especially MDR. As a component of the 60S large ribosomal subunit, ribosomal protein L39-L gene was reported to be expressed specifically in the human testis and human cancer samples of various tissue origins. Materials and Methods: Total RNA of cultured drug-resistant and susceptible A549 cells was isolated, and real time quantitative RT-PCR were used to indicate the transcribe difference between amycin resistant and susceptible strain of A549 cells. Viability assay were used to show the amycin resistance difference in RPL39-L transfected A549 cell line than control vector and null-transfected A549 cell line. Results: The ribosomal protein L39-L transcription level was 8.2 times higher in drug-resistant human lung cancer A549 cell line than in susceptible A549 cell line by quantitative RT-PCR analysis. The ribosomal protein L39-L transfected cells showed enhanced drug resistance compared to plasmid vector-transfected or null-transfected cells as determined by methyl tritiated thymidine (3H-TdR) incorporation. Conclusions and Implications for Practice: The ribosomal protein L39-L gene may have effects on the drug resistance mechanism of lung cancer A549 cells.

        Hyperproduction of exopolysaccharides by submerged mycelial culture of Ganoderma lucidum using a solid seed grown in finepowder of wheat bran and in vitro evaluation of the antioxidant activity of the exopolysaccharides produced

        To facilitate Ganoderma lucidum submerged culture and obtain high productivity, a fine powder of wheat bran was used to grow the fungus for solid-state fermentation and as solid seed for its submerged cultures. The results indicated that the optimal inoculum size was low, being 0.75 g in 250 mL-sized flasks containing 80 mL medium. The maximal exopolysaccharide concentration and biomass produced was 0.74 and 14.71 g/L, respectively, which is considerably higher than that obtained with the commonly used mycelial pellet liquid seed (0.47 and 8.56 g/L, respectively). The EPS and biomass productivity of the solid seed cultures decreased only slightly, even after a 6-month storage period. EPS produced showed higher antioxidant activity compared with that produced in the liquid seed cultures. The developed solid seed can serve as a ready-to-use inoculum for long-term use in G. lucidum submerged culture for the hyperproduction of highly bioactive EPS and biomass.

        A Holistic Perspective on the Dynamics of G035.39-00.33: The Interplay between Gas and Magnetic Fields

        <P>Magnetic field plays a crucial role in shaping molecular clouds and regulating star formation, yet the complete information on the magnetic field is not well constrained owing to the limitations in observations. We study the magnetic field in the massive infrared dark cloud G035.39-00.33 from dust continuum polarization observations at 850 mu m with SCUBA-2/POL-2 at JCMT for the first time. The magnetic field tends to be perpendicular to the densest part of the main filament (F-M), whereas it has a less defined relative orientation in the rest of the structure, where it tends to be parallel to some diffuse regions. A mean plane-of-the-sky magnetic field strength of similar to 50 mu G for F-M is obtained using the Davis-Chandrasekhar-Fermi method. Based on (CO)-C-13 (1-0) line observations, we suggest a formation scenario of F-M due to large-scale (similar to 10 pc) cloud-cloud collision. Using additional NH3 line data, we estimate that F-M will be gravitationally unstable if it is only supported by thermal pressure and turbulence. The northern part of F-M, however, can be stabilized by a modest additional support from the local magnetic field. The middle and southern parts of F-M are likely unstable even if the magnetic field support is taken into account. We claim that the clumps in F-M may be supported by turbulence and magnetic fields against gravitational collapse. Finally, we identified for the first time a massive (similar to 200 M-circle dot, collapsing starless clump candidate, 'c8,' in G035.39-00.33. The magnetic field surrounding 'c8' is likely pinched, hinting at an accretion flow along the filament.</P>

        상담은 인간을 다루는 분야로서 이 과정의 중심이 되는 인간 이해는 상담에 결정적인 영향을 미친다. 한 인간을 이해하려면 그가 속해 있는 문화권을 함께 이해해야 하고, 이런 인간을 다루고 있는 상담 역시 도움을 받고자 하는 내담자가 속해 있는 문화에 부합되어야 한다. 한국과 중국을 포함한 동양 사회를 살펴보면 수십세기 동안 주로 유교와 불교 그리고 노자 사상의 영향을 받아왔다. 이 중 노자의 철학은 중국 철학사상 최초로 완전한 철학 사상 이론을 정립한 사상으로서 동양 철학과 전통문화에 깊은 영향을 미쳤을 뿐만 아니라 사람들의 세계관, 사고방식, 행동양식 등에도 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 따라서 노자 철학 사상에 입각한 상담 이론의 고찰은 동양 사회의 부응하는 상담이론의 정립에 도움이 된다. Tao Te Ching, the Taoist classic written by Lao Tzu, not only expounds the way (Tao) of the universe, but also well presents Lao Tzu’s views on human nature, psychological problems and the causes, propositions of a mature person, etc. These profound thoughts can bring valuable revelations to counselors, especially those who serve in East Asia.

        Has the RMB expanded the Efficient Frontier of the SDR?

        In November 2015, the IMF decided to include the Chinese yuan, which is also called Renminbi (RMB), in the SDR basket currency, and it was implemented from 1 October 2016. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the SDR denominated bond has become more profitable by adding the RMB into the SDR currency basket. Interest rate and foreign exchange rate data of major currencies such as USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY were used, and the Sharpe ratio comparison and spanning test show that inclusion of the RMB expands the efficient frontier of the SDR. This result is due to the high interest rate of RMB-denominated bonds and the higher foreign exchange gains from the RMB. As China still maintains comparatively high interest rates, the effect of SDR’s efficient frontier expansion by including RMB is likely to continue for some time
