The object of system identification is to derive a system description from experimentally observed time histories of the input and the output. Identification of linear systems can be performed by the timedomaim and the frequency domain calculations with varying durations of experimental observations. In This study results obtained from two different approaches are compared, differences are explained and conclusions in respect of the relative standing of the two methods are deduced.

기어시스템의 불안정성 횡진동에 대한 연구는 실용적인 측면에서 대단히 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 로터시스템의 베아링에 의한 지지를 용수철에 의한 지지로 단순화 한후, 이상화된 모델에 대하여 불안정 구간을 예견하였다. 질량불균형과 외진가속도의 변화에 따른 임계강성도의 존재가 확인되었다.

The chatter vibration of machine tool structures is of great hindrance to speeding up cutting operations and increasing their efficiency. In this study the displacement of the cutting tool and fluctuating cutting force in the chatter vibration are used to investigate the characteristics and resulting vibration mechanism As a result general stability chart is plotted and the stability conditions are considered.

기체 베어링은 공기를 윤활제로 사용함으로써 그에 따르는 여러가지의 장단점을 가지고 있다. 특히 고속작동을 필요로 하는 기계에는 기체베어링의 응용이 크게 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기체베어링의 내부표면에 기공을 가진 재료를 도입, 외부로 부터 압력을 가함으로서 자체 작동 기체 베어링에 비해 시스템의 불안정성이 크게 개선될 수 있다는 사실이 확인되었다.
Mode 합성법을 이용한 머시닝 센터의 모델링에 관한연구

This paper describes a new approach to the analysis of the dynamic response of a machining center. This approach, refered to as the mode synthesis or component mode sysnthesis, has many advantages compared with the conventional approaches. These terms are employed to sysnthesize the individual modes to analyze the vibration mode of the complicated structures. In this study a machining center is considered to present the basic ideas of the method, and its utility is investigated. The proposed idea is proved to be a very accurate estimate of the natural frequencies of the combined structures as well as the modes of vibrations.

Servomotors are widely used for the modern control systems in various ways. In this thesis, the effects of the servo parameters are investigated to obtain the optimum design for the given situation. In order to analyze the effects of those parameters the result of the variation of the combined values as well as the individual parameters is considered. The simulation algorithm and the optimization process used in the study are readily applicable to many control systems.

A machine tool has very little damping. Most of the damping comes from the joints and the large amplitude vibration of the tool w. r. t. workpiece produces bad surface finish, breaking tool tips, unpleasant noise and lost production time. Thus the amplitude of vibration should be reduced. In this study machine tool structure was idealized to be 2-DOF system and the optimization procedure to get a flat response showing low amplitude over a wide frequency range was discussed.

The phenomena of the vibrations are related to the parameters of the structure and the rotational velocity of the machine. Therefore, The design of a stable system can be achieved by selecting vibration parameters properly. In order to do that, the frequency analysis test is supposed to be done to obtain the transfer function of the structure, and further it is analyzed to get the vibration parameters. Finally the effect of those parameters are investigated. After all these procedures. the appropriate parameter values are decided to give the system the best possible stability to the system. In this study a machine tool structure is reviewed to investigate the transmission path of the vibrations to provide a design methodology to minimize the vibrations of the structure.

The vibration of electron guns are very critical to the display resolution of the Braun tubes. In this study, the dynamic properties of the electron guns are investigated along with the other parts of the Braun tube to analyze the natural frequencies, modes, and the transmission paths of the vibrations, the result of which is applied to improve the design of electron guns for suppressing the vibrations.

Gear system is a fundamental element which is widely used in many mechanical systems. To achieve the high speed and high precision characteristics of the system, which is a current tendency in most mechanical systems, the dynamic stability of a gear system is ver important. In this study, the gear system was simplified into spring supported system to make mathematical model, and the effect of design and operating parameters such as stiffness, length, diameter, and rotating frequency was simulated at various operating conditions. The effect of all these parameters were studied and the method was presented to design stable systems for certain operating conditions.
