        언택트(Untact) 시대 공동주택 단위세대 평면의 공간 사용 변화에 관한 연구 -2015년 이후 한국토지주택공사 84㎡ 단위세대 평면 사례를 중심으로-

        (Background and Purpose) The global paradigm that occurred in early 2020 has caused social, urban, and architectural changes, and residential lifestyles have also changed significantly. This study thus aimed to provide basic data for the formation of a unit-generation flat space that meets the needs of consumers in the Untact era as an alternative to changes in residential lifestyles. In response, this study aimed to establish the direction of analysis considering theoretically the background of changes in the floor plan of the unit generation of apartments, and to analyze changes in residential life in the Untact era based on the type of unit floor plan to present the direction of space composition of the 84 m2 unit plan in the future. (Method) Thirty-six types of households units of 84 m2 used as for public rental houses in Gyeonggi Province over the period of 6 years were selected to identify changes in floor space composition by classifying them into seven types based on space composition. In addition, the role elements of the new residential space were derived through consideration of changes in residential life in the Untact era, and based on the classification of the plane type of the unit generation, a survey on changes in living behavior before and after the coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) in the living room 'bedroom, kitchen / restaurant, v, and alpha room were conducted. (Results) According to a survey analysis based on residential space role factors that can meet user needs to identify residential living activities changed in the Untact era by space of each unit household, the use of traditional functions such as living and rest,” room-sleep,” balconey, washing and drying,” and kitchen/restaurant/cooking/distake have all decreased, while the role of work/study space in all living spaces has increased significantly, proving that the current residential lifestyle is changing. Thus, after looking at the plane of 84 m2 units that can respond to the role of “work/study,” a newly increased residential function, four types were derived based on the location of the alpha room provided as a free space, suggesting the direction of space composition centered on the alpha room type. (Conclusions) In the future, for the 84 m2 unit flat space structure that can respond to the trend of residents' needs in the Untact era, the direction to move forward through the analysis of changes in the use of space and the inference of the resulting plane type was presented. The study aimed to utilize basic data on the plane design of 84 m2 unit housing, reflecting the changed behavior and the use of space in the post-COVID era.

        상대 순위가 진로 결정에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 동료(peer)에 대비한 학생의 상대적인 학업성취가 진로 결정에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 살펴본다. 구체적으로 학교 내에서 학생들의 상대적인 수학 순위가 이과 선택에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석을 위해 서울시소재 학생들의 패널데이터를 이용하였으며, 수학 성적을 통제하더라도 상대순위가 낮은 경우 이과에 진학할 확률이 11%포인트 이상 감소함을 확인하였다. 높은 상대 순위는 여학생에게 추가적인 양의 이과 진학 효과를 나타내 상대 순위가 성별로 다르게 작용함을 보였다. 분석 결과에 따르면 상대 순위효과 중 약 12%만이 자신감과 같은 주관적 평가에 의해 설명되며, 이로 미루어보아 내신 성적을 통한 경로가 더 지배적일 것으로 추측할 수 있다. We examine the extent to which students` performance relative to peers affects their career choice. Specifically, we analyze the relationship between a student`s mathematics ranking in his/her school and the likelihood of choosing Mathematics and Science track in high school. Using a panel dataset of students in Seoul, we measure a student`s performance using two variables: absolute performance and relative performance. The former measures a student`s performance relative to the entire sample, while the latter measures performance relative to the student`s peers in the same school. After controlling for test scores and other characteristics, we find that the students with a poor relative ranking are 11 percentage points less likely to choose the Mathematics and Science track. Relative performance affects girls more greatly than boys. Although relative performance affects a student`s self-efficacy and class participation, our accounting exercise suggests that this channel accounts for only 12 percent of the impact, implying that students may respond to the relative ranking mostly due to other factors, such as strategic consideration to perform well in college applications.

        공공주택 공급지구 선정이 아파트 매매가에 미치는 영향 및 주요 메커니즘 고찰: 보금자리주택지구 사례 분석

        본 연구는 국토교통부의 매매 실거래가(2006-2014년)를 활용하여 보금자리주택 지구 선정이 주변 아파트 가격에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 수도권의 보금자리지구를 대상으로 연구를 진행하였으며, 인과관계 추정을 위해 이중차분법을 활용하였다. 분석결과, 보금자리지구 선정은 주변 지역 아파트 매매가격을 약 5.7% 하락시키는 것으로 나타났으며, 거래량을 통제하였을 때도 결과는 강건하였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 가격 하락효과의 메커니즘 추론을 위해 (1) 아파트 거래량, (2) 인구유출입(특히 학령기 인구)의 변화를 분석하였으며, (3) 공공주택 건설에 대한 부정적 영향의 자본화, (4) 미래의 공급증가에 대한 기대의 가능성을 논의하였다. This paper examines the effect of building public housing complexes, called Bogemjari districts on neighboring apartment prices. This study exploits transaction data(2006-2014) provided by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and includes Bogemjari districts in Seoul, Gyeong-gi, and Incheon. To investigate the causal inference, this study implemented the DID method. Findings show that the announcement of Bogemjari district decreases the neighboring apartment prices by 5.7%, and remains stable when the number of transactions is included in the model. In order to infer the mechanism of these price effects, we analyzed changes in (1) actual transaction volume and (2) population inflows and outflows(especially school-age population). We also discussed the possibility of the negative expectation of public housing and the expectations for future supply increases.

        Levosimendan inhibits disulfide tau oligomerization and ameliorates tau pathology in TauP301L-BiFC mice

        Tau oligomers play critical roles in tau pathology and are responsible for neuronal cell death and transmitting the disease in the brain. Accordingly, preventing tau oligomerization has become an important therapeutic strategy to treat tauopathies, including Alzheimer’s disease. However, progress has been slow because detecting tau oligomers in the cellular context is difficult. Working toward tau-targeted drug discovery, our group has developed a tau-BiFC platform to monitor and quantify tau oligomerization. By using the tau-BiFC platform, we screened libraries with FDA-approved and passed phase I drugs and identified levosimendan as a potent anti-tau agent that inhibits tau oligomerization. 14C-isotope labeling of levosimendan revealed that levosimendan covalently bound to tau cysteines, directly inhibiting disulfide-linked tau oligomerization. In addition, levosimendan disassembles tau oligomers into monomers, rescuing neurons from aggregation states. In comparison, the well-known anti-tau agents methylene blue and LMTM failed to protect neurons from tau-mediated toxicity, generating high-molecular-weight tau oligomers. Levosimendan displayed robust potency against tau oligomerization and rescued cognitive declines induced by tauopathy in the TauP301L-BiFC mouse model. Our data present the potential of levosimendan as a disease-modifying drug for tauopathies.

      • Multi stimuli-responsive hydrogel microfibers containing magnetite nanoparticles prepared using microcapillary devices

        <P>Extensive research efforts have been devoted to the development of hydrogel microfibers for tissue engineering, because the vascular structure is related to the transport of nutrients and oxygen as well as the control of metabolic and mechanical functions in the human body. Even though stimuli-responsive properties would enhance the potential applicability of hydrogel microfibers for artificial tissue architectures, previous studies of their fabrication have not considered changes in the microfibers in response to external stimuli. In this work, we prepared temperature-responsive poly(<I>N</I>-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAm) microfibers with controlled shapes and sizes by the <I>in situ</I> photo-polymerization of aqueous monomers loaded in calcium alginate templates generated from microcapillary devices. We found that the shape and size of the hydrogel microfibers could be controlled by adjusting the injection positions of the solutions and varying the diameters of the inner capillary, respectively. We further fabricated light-responsive materials by incorporating photothermal magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) within the temperature-responsive PNIPAm hydrogel microfibers. Because the MNPs incorporated into the PNIPAm microfibers generated heat upon the absorption of visible light, we could demonstrate volume changes in the microfibers triggered by both visible light irradiation and temperature.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Hydrogel microfibers containing magnetite nanoparticles prepared using a microfluidic device show a volume change in response to the visible light irradiation as well as increasing temperature. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c4sm02564d'> </P>

      • Visualization of Tau–Tubulin Interaction in a Living Cell Using Bifluorescence Complementation Technique

        <P>Tau is a neuron-specific microtubule-binding protein that stabilizes microtubules. It is generally thought that highly phosphorylated tau dissociates from microtubules and becomes insoluble aggregates, leading to neuronal degeneration. Due to the implication of tau aggregation in neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, great efforts have been made to identify the tau aggregation process. However, tau interaction with tubulin during the aggregation process remains largely unknown. To scrutinize the tau-tubulin interaction, we generated a cell model that enables visualization of the tau-tubulin interaction in a living cell using the Bifluorescence Complementation (BiFC) Technique. Upon diverse chemical stimulation that induced tau pathology, tau-tubulin BiFC cells showed significantly increased levels of BiFC fluorescence, indicating that tau aggregates together with tubulin. Our results suggest that tubulin should be considered as a key component in the tau aggregation process.</P>
