The purpose of this study is to discover the possible solutions for the problem faced by academicians during online learning by means of employing qualitative and quantitative approaches. Using a qualitative approach, selected academicians were interviewed, and their feedback was transcribed and used to develop the survey instrument. The quantitative research design was later used to determine the most plausible solutions for the problem that could be obtained and implemented by distributing the questionnaire to academicians at a public university. Multiple regression analysis results indicate that work-life conflict and lack of support are the main contributors to academicians’ mental and emotional health issues. The study’s major findings help higher education institutions craft appropriate strategies to enhance the effectiveness of online teaching and learning by providing the necessary support to the academicians. The study’s findings suggest that academicians should separate work and family requirements to concentrate on their job. Furthermore, the immediate supervisor must be considerate in determining the number of tasks, the deadlines, and the assistance required to complete the task. Lastly, academicians must equip themselves with emotional intelligence to cope with stressors.

The purpose of this paper is to explain the process of developing and validating the instrument to measure the university’s organizational core values and sub-values known as ESI iDART. The three core values are excellence, synergy, and integrity, while the five sub-values comprise knowledge, discipline, trustworthiness, diligence, and responsibility that all staff should understand and practice. These values must be measured to examine the extent to which the staff has practiced them in their work life. With regard to methodology, the research instrument used in the study was developed using a focus group study involving 39 university staff from various departments and campuses. The instrument was later refined and validated by a group of experts from the university. In the main study, the instrument was distributed to all 17,969 university staff from all over the country. After one month, a total of 11,688 university staff participated in the survey indicating a 66% response rate. Using descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, and ANOVA, the results indicate that instrument is considered valid and reliable to be used. The major findings from the study show that organizational values increase over time. Some theoretical and managerial implications are also discussed.

Background: Human papillomavirus is a well-established cause of the development of a variety of epithelial lesions in the cervix. However, as yet, incorporation of HPV testing into cervical cancer screening either as an adjunct or stand alone test is limited due to its cost. We therefore here ascertained the presence and type specificity of human papilloma virus (HPV) DNA in routine cervical scrapings. Materials and Methods: Cervical scrapings were collected from women attending clinics for routine Pap smear screening. HPV-DNA was detected by PCR using MY09/11 and GP5+/GP6+ primer sets and genotyping was accomplished by cycle-sequencing. Results: A total of 635 women were recruited into the study with $mean{\pm}SD$ age of $43{\pm}10.5$ years. Of these 92.6% (588/635) were reported as within normal limits (WNL) on cytology. The presence of HPV infection detected by nested MY/GP+-PCR was 4.4% (28/635). The overall prevalence of high-risk HPV (HR-HPV) in abnormal Pap smears was 53.8% (7/13). HPVs were also seen in 3.1% (18/588) of smears reported as WNL by cytology and 5.9% (2/34) in smears unsatisfactory for evaluation. Conclusions: The overall percentage of HPV positivity in routine cervical screening samples is comparable with abnormal findings in cytology. Conventional Pap smear 'missed' a few samples. Since HPV testing is expensive, our results may provide valuable information for strategising implementation of effective cervical cancer screening in a country with limited resources like Malaysia. If Pap smear coverage could be improved, HPV testing could be used as an adjunct method on cases with ambiguous diagnoses.
Permethrin resistance in Aedes aegypti (Linnaeus) collected from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Permethrin resistance status of a laboratory strain, a permethrin-selected strain and three field strains of Aedes aegypti collected in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia were evaluated using three standard laboratory bioassays:WHO larval bioassay, WHO adult mosquito bioassay, and mixed function oxidase (MFO) enzyme microassay. The LC50 values of field strains from the WHO larval bioassay did not differ significantly. The highest LC50value was from the Taman Melati field strain (0.39 mg/L). The resistance ratio for the permethrin-selected strain and the field strains ranged from 1.86 fold to 5.57 fold. Pre-exposure to piperonyl butoxide (PBO) in the WHO adult bioassay and MFOs enzyme microassay reduced the LT50 values and reduced the mean optical density of elevated oxidase activity (0.28–0.42) at 630 nm. The LC50 or LT50 values and the level of oxidases were significantly correlated (r=0.825; pb0.05). This study confirmed the presence of permethrin resistance in these mosquito populations.

This study examines the strength of the impact of fiscal policy tools on economic wellbeing as measured by per capita income in Malaysia from 1996 to 2020. The impact of fiscal policy instruments on economic wellness, represented by real income per capita, is measured using the autoregressive distributed lags model. The speed of adjustment from short-run disequilibrium to long-run equilibrium is also measured to assess the strength of the fiscal instruments' impact on per capita income. Empirical results exhibit the existence of co-integration relationships between per capita income, tax revenue, and government spending. The findings provide strong support for the presence of a long-run positive impact on government spending and a long-run negative impact of tax revenue on per capita income. The coefficient of ECTt-1 indicates that deviations from a short-run disequilibrium to a long-run equilibrium from the current to the future period are corrected with a speed of 76% (equivalent to a duration of 1.5-2 years to return to equilibrium). The practical and policy implication of the results is fiscal instruments play a significant role, mainly in alleviating the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the long run.

An investigation on the thermal buckling resistance of simply supported FGM beams having parabolic-concave thickness variation and temperature dependent material properties is presented in this paper. An analytical formulation based on the first order beam theory is derived and the governing differential equation of thermal stability is solved numerically using finite difference method. a function of thickness variation is introduced which controls the parabolic variation intensity of the beam thickness without changing its original material volume. The results showed the high importance of taking into account the temperature-dependent material properties in the thermal buckling analysis of such critical beam sections. Different Influencing parametric on the thermal stability are studied which may help in design guidelines of such complex structures.
Synchronized Behavior of FHSS against External Interference
Othman Sidek,Abid Yahya 대한전자공학회 2008 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2008 No.7
This paper demonstrates the execution and performance of frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) in hostile jamming surroundings as correspond to conventional system. The system in this paper is confined to the merest assessments establish on the power ratio between the signal and entire interference. In scheming an antijam FHSS system, the spread bandwidth, ss W , is by and large fixed at the start, and repeatedly with the usable bandwidth. Two rectangular bandpass signals have been diagrammed and the observance matrices are incurred by adding signal to jammer, arranging the jammer amplitude at 6 with matched filter output. From the simulation results it has revealed that plain signal is entirely masked by the jammer and is not noticeably ascertained at the filter output, the FHSS is the one, time constricted by the matched filter, is evident uniquely.
