Atomic insights into regulation of graphene sheets vertically attached to the FeF3·0.33H2O (002) surface by cation doping

        Yanjun Pan,Yang Li,Jinda Luo,Xianyou Wang,Zhenhua Yang 한국물리학회 2019 Current Applied Physics Vol.19 No.10

Tightly and vertically attached graphene nanosheets (GNS) on the surface of FeF3·0.33H2O is extremely desirable to substantially accelerate electron transport, promoting rate capability of FeF3·0.33H2O. Based on present experiment and calculated surface energies, firstly, it has confirmed that F-terminated FeF3·0.33H2O (002) surface (FeF3·0.33H2O (002)-F) is more stable than FeF-terminated FeF3·0.33H2O (002) surface (FeF3·0.33H2O (002)- FeF) when μF varies from −1.92 eV to −0.30 eV. Then, by analysis of the interfacial structure and adsorption energies, it was proposed that GNS is incline to stand vertically on the FeF3·0.33H2O (002) surface via C–F bond. However, structural stability of FeF3·0.33H2O/GNS heterostructure is gradually weakened with increasing the number of GNS layers. Therefore, we further reported the important role of optimal doping element (Hf) in strengthening the vertical adsorption behavior of GNS on FeF3·0.33H2O (002) surface via thorough doping element search. And it turns out interfacial structure with hexa-coordinate polyhedron consists of Hf, F and O atoms is formed by strong hybridization of atomic orbits, which induces the interaction between FeF3·0.33H2O (002) surface and GNS to be profoundly strengthened.

Evaluation of energy correction algorithm for signals of PET in heavy-ion cancer therapy device

        Niu, Xiaoyang,Yan, Junwei,Wang, Xiaohui,Yang, Haibo,Ke, Lingyun,Chen, Jinda,Du, Chengming,Zhang, Xiuling,Zhao, Chengxin,Kong, Jie,Su, Hong Korean Nuclear Society 2020 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.52 No.1

In order to solve the contradiction between requirements of high sampling rate for acquiring accurate energy information of pulses and large amount of data to be processed timely, the method with an algorithm to correct errors caused by reducing the sampling rate is normally used in front-end read-out system, which is conductive to extract accurate energy information from digitized waveform of pulse. The functions and effects of algorithms, which mainly include polynomial fitting with different fitting times, double exponential function fitting under different sampling modes, and integral area algorithm, are analyzed and evaluated, and some meaningful results is presented in this paper. The algorithm described in the paper has been used preliminarily in a prototype system of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) for heavy-ion cancer therapy facility.

A real-time sorting algorithm for in-beam PET of heavy-ion cancer therapy device

        Ke, Lingyun,Yan, Junwei,Chen, Jinda,Wang, Changxin,Zhang, Xiuling,Du, Chengming,Hu, Minchi,Yang, Zuoqiao,Xu, Jiapeng,Qian, Yi,She, Qianshun,Yang, Haibo,Zhao, Hongyun,Pu, Tianlei,Pei, Changxu,Su, Hong Korean Nuclear Society 2021 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.53 No.10

A real-time digital time-stamp sorting algorithm used in the In-Beam positron emission tomography (In-Beam PET) is presented. The algorithm is operated in the field programmable gate array (FPGA) and a small amount of registers, MUX and memory cells are used. It is developed for sorting the data of annihilation event from front-end circuits, so as to identify the coincidence events efficiently in a large amount of data. In the In-Beam PET, each annihilation event is detected by the detector array and digitized by the analog to digital converter (ADC) in Data Acquisition Unit (DAQU), with a resolution of 14 bits and sampling rate of 50 MS/s. Test and preliminary operation have been implemented, it can perform a sorting operation under the event count rate up to 1 MHz per channel, and support four channels in total, count rate up to 4 MHz. The performance of this algorithm has been verified by pulse generator and 22Na radiation source, which can sort the events with chaotic order into chronological order completely. The application of this algorithm provides not only an efficient solution for selection of coincidence events, but also a design of electronic circuit with a small-scale structure.

Molecular cloning, characterization and mRNA expression of a ryanodine receptor gene from whitefly, Bemisia tabaci MED

        Wei Zhang,Cheng Qu,ChangqingMu,Fengqi Li,Chen Luo,Jinda Wang,RanWang 한국응용곤충학회 2017 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.20 No.1

The Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) cryptic species complex comprises very destructive insect pests for agricultural cropsworldwide. In China, the B. tabaciMED species (also known as biotype ‘Q’), has supplanted theMEAM1 species (biotype ‘B’) which is threatening agricultural production around the country. The new anthranilic diamide insecticide, cyantraniliprole, provides one novel step for themanagement of B. tabaci and the development of resistance to other insecticides. Ryanodine receptors of insect are the main target sites of the diamide insecticides. In this study, the full-length cDNA of a ryanodine receptor gene (BtRyR) was cloned and characterized from B. tabaci MED. The cDNAs of BtRyR contain a 15,369-bp open reading frame with encoding 5122 amino acids (GenBank ID: KY244091). BtRyR shares 76–83% identity with other insect RyR isoforms and 42–45% identity with vertebrate RyR isoforms. Spatial and temporal expression of BtRyR mRNA was at the highest relative level in pseudopupae and head, and at the lowest expression level in egg and abdomen. The expression levels of whole body BtRyR mRNAwere increased remarkably after insecticide-treatments of adults with cyantraniliprole at 0.01 to 1 mg/l. This structural and expression data on BtRyR provides the basis for further understanding the selective action of cyantraniliprole.
