      • Ergonomic optimization design for construction equipment cabin

        The purpose of this study is to avoid the evaluation method which depends on operator’s sensibility after product development and to define representative human body size, work and driving posture for comfort of cabin, and analyzed convenience for each major factor of cabin. The position and shape of the parts operated by the operator of the construction equipment are determined by the size of the operator, the seating position, and the operating posture. This is because the range of direct and indirect vision, the convenience of operation, and the range of operation vary depending on the operator size and seating position. It is very important because it studies the operator and seating position and posture and reflects it in the optimization design of the parts, which affects convenience of manipulation of major parts as well as ease of operation for the construction equipment. Especially, rely on the benchmarking of the competitor and the evaluation method based on the customer ’s sensibility by the absence of the standard operating posture and human model, It is difficult to verify the quantitative evaluation to derive the optimization of the operator comfortability of the exporting country. As a result, the development schedule is delayed and additional development costs are generated repeatedly. This leads to continuous improvement requests for customer convenience after mass production. In order to secure the fundamental competitiveness of the cabin product, In this study defined virtual representative human body, and set the operating posture for the pre-emptive operator convenience before cabin product development, instead of relying on the customer ’s evaluation after the existing cabin development.
