A Novel Linearization Method of Sin/Cos Sensor Signals Used for Angular Position Determination

        Dragan ?ivanovi?,Jelena Luki?,Dragan Deni? 대한전기학회 2014 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.9 No.4

In this paper a novel method for angular position determination using sensors with sin / cos output and without an excitation signal, is presented. The linearization of the sensor transfer characteristic and digitalization of the measurement results are performed simultaneously with a goal to increase the measurement resolution. This improvement is particularly important for low angular velocities, and can be used to increase the resolution of incremental Hall, magnetic and optical sensors. This method includes two phases of sin/cos signal linearization. In the first linearization phase the pseudo-linear signal is generated. The second linearization phase, executed by the two-stage piecewise linear ADC, is an additional linearization of the pseudo-linear signal. Based on the LabVIEW software simulations of the proposed method, the contribution of each processing phase to a final measurement error is examined. After the proposed method is applied within 2π [rad] range, the maximal nonlinearity is reduced from 0.3307 [rad] (18.9447°) to 3·10-4 [rad] (0.0172°).

Characterization of Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae, Causal Agent of Citrus Blast of Mandarin in Montenegro

        Žarko Ivanović,Tatjana Perović,Tatjana Popović,Jovana Blagojević,Nenad Trkulja,Snježana Hrnčić 한국식물병리학회 2017 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.33 No.1

Citrus blast caused by bacterium Pseudomonas syringaeis a very important disease of citrus occuring inmany areas of the world, but with few data about geneticstructure of the pathogen involved. Consideringthe above fact, this study reports genetic characterizationof 43 P. syringae isolates obtained from planttissue displaying citrus blast symptoms on mandarin(Citrus reticulata) in Montenegro, using multilocus sequenceanalysis of gyrB, rpoD, and gap1 gene sequences. Gene sequences from a collection of 54 referencepathotype strains of P. syringae from the Plant Associatedand Environmental Microbes Database (PAMDB)was used to establish a genetic relationship with ourisolates obtained from mandarin. Phylogenetic analysesof gyrB, rpoD, and gap1 gene sequences showedthat P. syringae pv. syringae causes citrus blast inmandarin in Montenegro, and belongs to genomospecies1. Genetic homogeneity of isolates suggested thatthe Montenegrian population might be clonal whichindicates a possible common source of infection. Thesefindings may assist in further epidemiological studiesof this pathogen and for determining mandarin breedingstrategies for P. syringae control.

Genetic Diversity of Orobanche cumana Populations in Serbia

        Ž,arko Ivanović,Dragana Marisavljević,Radovan Marinković,Petar Mitrović,Jovana Blagojević,Ivan Nikolić,Danijela Pavlović 한국식물병리학회 2021 Plant Pathology Journal Vol.37 No.6

In this study, we report genetic characterization of Oro- banche cumana, the causal agent of sunflower wilting in Serbia. The genetic diversity of this parasitic plant in Serbia was not studied before. Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers and partial rbcL gene sequences analysis were used to characterize the O. cumana populations at the molecular level. While phylogenetic analyses of RAPD-PCR amplicons were performed using unweighted pair-group Method analy- ses, rbcL gene sequences were analyzed using neigbor joining method and minimum spanning tree. Molecular analyses of RAPD-PCR analysis revealed high genetic diversity of O. cumana populations which indicated high adaptive potential of this parasitic weed in Serbia. Further analyses of rbcL gene using minimum span- ning tree revealed clear differences among diverse sections of Orobanche genus. Although this molecular marker lacked the resolution to display intrapopulation diversity it could be a useful tool for understanding the evolution of this parasitic plant. Our results suggested that O. cumana has great genetic potential which can lead to differentiation of more virulent races which is important for determining crop breeding strategies for their control.

The nature of urban sprawl in Western Balkan cities

        Zora Živanović,Branka Tošić,Natalija Mirić,Nikola Vračević 서울시립대학교 도시과학연구원 2024 도시과학국제저널 Vol.28 No.1

The paper draws attention to the process of urban growth in the Western Balkans, which is principally reflected in the physical expansion into the surrounding area, leading to the conversion of land into urban fabric – urban sprawl. According to the principles of sustainable development, this process is considered unjustified, especially if it is not a consequence of population growth. The features and the intensity of urban sprawl in the Western Balkans have been determined by mathematical and statistical methods, using data from the Urban Atlas database. The main common features and differences related to urban sprawl in the analyzed cities are determined by several factors, which are discussed in the paper. The purpose of the analysis of the intensity of urban sprawl between 2012 and 2018 is to ensure a better understanding of future processes that pose a potential ‘threat’ in environmental terms, but also of other aspects of sustainable development, relevant for bodies and individuals responsible for urban planning. In accordance with the methodology used, the results of the research confirm the presence of urban sprawl in Western Balkan cities, although it has not been proven that there are features common to all cities for any of the analyzed indicators.

Emotional Intelligence System for Ubiquitous Smart Foreign Language Education Based on Neural Mechanism

        Weihui Dai,Shuang Huang,Xuan Zhou,Xueer Yu,Mirjana Ivanovi,Dongrong Xu 한국데이타베이스학회 2014 Journal of information technology applications & m Vol.21 No.3

Ubiquitous learning has aroused great interest and is becoming a new way for foreign language education in today’s society. However, how to increase the learners’ initiative and their community cohesion is still an issue that deserves more profound research and studies. Emotional intelligence can help to detect the learner’s emotional reactions online, and therefore stimulate his interest and the willingness to participate by adjusting teaching skills and creating fun experiences in learning. This is, actually the new concept of smart education. Based on the previous research, this paper concluded a neural mechanism model for analyzing the learners’ emotional characteristics in ubiquitous environment, and discussed the intelligent monitoring and automatic recognition of emotions from the learners’ speech signals as well as their behavior data by multi-agent system. Finally, a framework of emotional intelligence system was proposed concerning the smart foreign language education in ubiquitous learning.
