        Screening with the Korean Version of the Mood Disorder Questionnaire for Bipolar Disorders in Adolescents: Korean Validity and Reliability Study

        Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the validity and reliability of a Korean version of the Mood Disorder Questionnaire-Adolescent version (K-MDQ-A) as a screening instrument for bipolar disorders in adolescents. Methods: One hundred two adolescents with bipolar disorders and their parents were recruited from November 2014 to November 2016 at 7 training hospitals. One hundred six controls were recruited from each middle school in two cities of South Korea. The parent version of the original MDQ-A was translated into Korean. The parents of all participants completed the K-MDQ-A. The diagnoses of bipolar disorders were determined based on the Korean version of K-SADS-PL. The test-retest reliability with a 10-month interval was investigated in 33 bipolar adolescents. Results: K-MDQ-A yielded a sensitivity of 0.90 and a specificity of 0.92 when using a cut-off score of endorsement of 5 items, indicating that symptoms occurred in the same time period and caused moderate or serious problems. The internal consistency of the K-MDQ-A was good. The correlations between each item and the total score ranged from 0.40 to 0.76 and were all statistically significant. Factor analysis revealed 3 factors that explained 61.25% of the total variance. The mean total score was significantly higher in bipolar adolescents (7.29) than in controls (1.32). The Pearson correlation coefficient for the total test-retest score was 0.59 (p<0.001). Conclusion: The K-MDQ-A completed by parents showed the excellent validity and reliability and may be a useful screening tool for adolescents with bipolar disorders attending in- and outpatient psychiatric clinics.

        This Paper surveys the Poetic images of Archibal MacLeish(1892-1982), who is one of the modern American poets : honorable, intelligent, gifted, perceptive and humane. He acted as a poet, playwright, editor, journalist, and political adviser. Ibis paper analyses his poetic theories in the five sections an American poetic weathercock, a poetic language and form, a fortunate fall of man, a man's belief, a poet's business, and a poet of unlimited time. In each section there is a critical point of view on his poetic images which are dispersed throughout his great deal of poems. The writer of this paper proceeds to approach his poetic images by emphasizing the thoughts and ideas of his poems as follow : First of all, he uses American language as poetic dictions in the taught speech and the aped tongue with the capture of the rhythmic line as well as with intensely personal feeling, endeavouring to give the ordinary reader some of the eat commonplaces of modem emotional experience. Secondarily, he is seekng a new understanding of the nature of democracy, the realationship of the intellectual to a democratic society ; his activities and utterance are logical sequel as poet and analyst of American democracy. In order to defense the democratic society in America, he uses the fury and splendor, the clash of ideals and civilzations as symbols of the modern world-wide clash of systems and ideas.

      • John crowe ransom : 현대적 감수성의 정확한 반영

        John Crowe Ransom(1888-1974) is one of the distingushed poets as well as a member of the New Criticism whom the southern America has ever produced. His poems are among the most remarkable ones to come out from the southern group. The Fugitives, to which he belongs with Allen Tate, Robert Penn Warren and Donald Davidson. Ransom's wit and irony in such poems as "The Equilibrist." "Antique Haevesters." and "Blue Girls" are metaphysical and elaborated. These qualities identify his poems with intensity and paradox through the metaphor by which his poetic images are differentiated from the preceeding or contemporary poets. Nevertheless his poetic forms are similar to the traditional verses, but they do not imitate or follow the fixed without being associated with appropriate textures. The tones and sounds of his poems have the fresh combination of the grace and surprising savagery uttered in a precise softness of speech of the southern America. This paper analyzes the characteristic qualities of Ransom's poems in seven sections: the mirror of the modern sensibility. the self-protective language, the dualism, the reason of sentimentality, the economic and political concerns of the southern America, and the stability of his poems. In each section, there are poems and quatations to prove the rightness of his poetic theory in the view of the writer.

        The study aims to menu developmet system uilding of the tourist hotel F&B those concerning menu planning and its analysis. This studyfocuses on evaluating the usefullness and necessity of menu profitability analysis in the F&B operations for successful management. At this time, many foodservice operators are concerned about the role and the importance of the menu because it determines the facilities and spaces required, It also determines the staff, type of service, and even nutritional factors which result from the kind of the menu selected. Therefore, to develop an effective menu which result in guest satisfaction and assures profit at the same thime, the author suggests the following. First, develop a analyzing method tailored to a given operation. Second, in the menu pricing system, it would e better to decide which method would fit in one's situation rather than be locked into only one method. Third, understand the limit of autimatization in the food and beverage business. Fourth, in the analsis of the menu, it is required that those data should be analized by precise material given through systemic business control rather than simple visual examnation. Lastly, take the results from menu analysis into practice.

        This essay is concerned to analytic survey of the poetic images of Ezra Pound(1885-19720. His poetic career has been, as we know, the most extraordinary one in modern poetry of both sides of the Atlantic. He was a poet who made poets write modem verse, editors publish it, and readers read it. All of his poems are composed of poetic dicitions of concretness, craftsmanship, obliqueness, ellipsis and allusiviness, which are not existed in the traditional verse forms. In this essay, the poetic images are divided into four parts according to the characteristics of them: Poetic music, Imagism, Vorticism, and Idiogrammic method. As a poet, Pound is too special, too arrogant and erudite, to achieve popularity But his literary importance should not be belittled. Therefore, the writer, in this essay, wants to allude to his specific, eccentric, and fragmental materials in the four parts respectively. Besides these, a short estimate of his historical notion is added.

      • 확대관의 형상에 따른 원관내의 유속분포에 관한 연구

        An expanded pipe is an important device in designing energy system such as combustion chamber, heat exchanger and turbulence generator. In this study, mean velocity distribution and turbulent, fluctuation component of u' in the expanded pipe of which diffuser angles are ½θ=90。, 60。, 30。 and 15。 from 16㎜φ pipe to 32㎜φ pipe are measured by LDV system. Reynolds number of the experiments are from 8,000 to 60,000 approximately based on diameter and mean velocity of the large pipe. From the experiments, velocity profile at 150mm downstream from the diffuser become closer to fully developed velocity profile as Reynolds number becomes greater and the diffuser angle becomes smaller. However, turbulent fluctuation components of u' were almost uniform or homogeneous at the same location across cross section of the pipe for almost measuring condition. Therefore, these experimental data could be utilized in design of turbulence generator with parameters of velocity. angle of the diffuser and distance from the diffuser. Furthermore, velocity profiles and turbulent fluctuation components at 50㎜ upstream from the diffuser are also measured in order to use these data as inlet condition in numerical computation for comparison between experimental and computational data in an expanded pipe.

        Barium Hexaferrite Thin Films Prepared by the Sol - Gel Method

        Nano-crystalline hexaferrite BaFe₁₂O_(19) (BaM) thin films have been prepared by the sol-gel method. A solution of Ba-nitrate and Fe-nitrates was dissolved in solvent with the stoichiometric ratio Ba/Fe=1/10. Films were spin-coated onto SiO₂/Si substrates, dried and then heated in air at various temperatures. In films prepared at a drying temperature Td=250 ℃ and a crystallizing temperature 650 ℃, single-phase BaM was obtained. High coercivities were obtained in these nano-crystalline thin films, 4~5.5 kOe for hexaferrite. Polycrystalline BaM/SiO₂/Si(100) thin films were characterized by Rutherford backscattering (RBS), thermogravimetry (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), as well as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The perpendicular coercivity H_(c⊥) and in-plane coercivity H_(CII) after annealing at 650 ℃ for 2 hours were 4766 Oe and 4480 Oe, respectively, at room temperature, under a maximum applied field of 10 kOe.

        Magnetocapacitance Properties of Multilayered CoFe₂O₄/BaTiO₃/CoFe₂O₄ Thin Film by Pulsed Laser Deposition

        CoFe₂O₄(CFO)/BaTiO₃(BTO)/CoFe₂O₄(CFO) multilayered thin films were deposited on Pt/TiO₂/SiO₂/Si substrates by the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) system with KrF excimer laser (λ = 248 nm). BTO, CFO, BTO/CFO and CFO/BTO/CFO structured thin films were prepared and their crystal structures and microstructures, as well as their magnetic and magneto-electrical properties, were studied. The C-V characteristics of these multilayered thin films with different capacitor structures were obtained to confirm the change in their capacitances under a magnetic field. Finally, the capacitance of the CFO/BTO/CFO thin film as a function of bias voltage under an in-plane magnetic field of 1,000 Oe increased to 951.04 pF at 1 MHz, from 831.90 pF measured under no magnetic field, indicating 14.3% increase in magnetocapacitance.

        분무 열분해에 의한 Ba1-xSrxFe12O19계 자성 미립자의 제조 및 특성 변화

        Magnetic particles with alternating magnetic field are expected to be useful as thermoseeds in hyperthermic cancer treatment, since they can be targeted and confined to the cancer site. Hard magnetic ferrites such as barium ferrite and strontium ferrite are good candidates for thermoseeds of hyperthermia because of their great hysteresis loss. In order to verify the effect of Sr-substitution to Ba-site, synthesized Ba1-xSrxFe12O19 microspheres with various compositions through spray pyrolysis followed by sol synthesis using barium nitrate, strontium acetate and iron nitrate. Coercive force was increased with increasing substitution amount of Sr whereas magnetic saturation was almost constant. Spherical microspheres with average diameter of 11.7~17.0 ㎛ were produced by spray pyrolysis at 400~1000℃. The mean size was dependent on the pyrolysis temperature and flow rate of carrier gas. In order to obtain a single phase of SrFe12O19 crystal, the spray pyrolyzed spheres were undertaken subsequent heat-treatment above 1000℃. During the subsequent heat-treatment, however, spherical microspheres were agglomerated because of necking between particles. Further study has to be continued working on synthesis of pure SrFe12O19 crystal by means of improvement of pyrolysis temperature scheme and extend the heating period.

        Quantitative Proteomic Analysis Identifies AHNAK (Neuroblast Differentiation-associated Protein AHNAK) as a Novel Candidate Biomarker for Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma Diagnosis by Liquid-based Cytology

        <P>Cytological examination of urine is the most widely used noninvasive pathologic screen for bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA); however, inadequate diagnostic accuracy remains a major challenge. We performed mass spectrometry-based proteomic analysis of urine samples of ten patients with BLCA and ten paired patients with benign urothelial lesion (BUL) to identify ancillary proteomic markers for use in liquid-based cytology (LBC). A total of 4,839 proteins were identified and 112 proteins were confirmed as expressed at significantly different levels between the two groups. We also performed an independent proteomic profiling of tumor tissue samples where we identified 7,916 proteins of which 758 were differentially expressed. Cross-platform comparisons of these data with comparative mRNA expression profiles from The Cancer Genome Atlas identified four putative candidate proteins, AHNAK, EPPK1, MYH14 and OLFM4. To determine their immunocytochemical expression levels in LBC, we examined protein expression data from The Human Protein Atlas and in-house FFPE samples. We further investigated the expression of the four candidate proteins in urine cytology samples from two independent validation cohorts. These analyses revealed AHNAK as a unique intracellular protein differing in immunohistochemical expression and subcellular localization between tumor and non-tumor cells. In conclusion, this study identified a new biomarker, AHNAK, applicable to discrimination between BLCA and BUL by LBC. To our knowledge, the present study provides the first identification of a clinical biomarker for LBC based on in-depth proteomics.</P>
