PRELIMINARY STUDY ON ATMOSPHERIC INPUT OF NITROGEN TO THE NORTHWEST PACIFIC COASTAL OCEANS
Hui Wang Gao 한국해안해양공학회 1999 학술강연회 발표논문초록집 Vol.1 No.1
A three-dimension regional Eulerian deposition model for nitrogen species has been developed. The important physical processes of emission, transport, diffusion, dry deposition and wet removal by rain, and chemical processes of gas-phase and liquid-phase chemistry are included by dynamics and parameterization. The emissions for this study are obtained from EDGAR (Emission Database for Global Atmospheric Research). The model has been employed for the year 1990 from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 in the area from 75˚E to 145˚E in longitude and from 16˚N to 59˚N in latitude with the horizontal resolution of 1˚×1˚. The fluxes of atmospheric input of nitrogen to the northwest pacific coastal oceans are shown.

Background: We conducted a study exploring the clinical safety and efficacy of decitabine in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), combined with a complex karyotype. Materials and Methods: From April 2009 to September 2013, a total of 35 patients with AML/MDS combined with a complex karyotype diagnosed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University were included for retrospective analysis. All patients were treated with decitabine alone ($20mg/m^2$ daily for 5 days) or combination AAG chemotherapy (Acla 20mg qod*4d, Ara-C $10mg/m^2$ q12h*7d, G-CSF $300{\mu}g$ qd, the dose of G-CSF adjusted to the amount in blood routinely). Results: In 35 patients, 15 exhibited a complete response (CR), and 6 a partial response (PR), the overall response rate (CR+PR) being 60% (21 of 35). Median disease-free survival was 18 months and overall survival was 14 months. In the 15 MDS patients with a complex karyotype, the CR rate was 53.3% (8 of 15); in 20 AML patients with complex karyotype, the overall response rate was 65% (13 of 20). The response rate of decitabine alone (22 cases) was 56.5% (13 of 22), while in the combination chemotherapy group (13 cases), the effective rate was 61.5% (8 of 13)(P>0.05). There are 15 patients with chromosome 7 aberration, after treatment with decitabine, 7 CR, 3 PR, overall response rate was 66.7% (10 of 15). Of 18 patients with 3 to 5 kinds of chromosomal abnormalities, 66.7% demonstrated a response; of 17 with more than 5 chromosomal abnormalities, 52.9% had a response. In the total of 35 patients, with one course (23 patients) and ${\geq}$two courses (12 patients), the overall response rate was 40.9% and 92.3% (P<0.05). Grade III to IV hematological toxicity was observed in 27 cases (75%). Grade III to IV infections were clinically documented in 7 (20%). Grades I to II non-hematological toxicity were infections (18 patients), haematuria (2 patients), and bleeding (3 patients). With follow-up until September 2013, 7 patients were surviving, 18 had died and 10 were lost to follow-up. In the 6 cases who underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) all were still relapse-free survivors. Conclusions: Decitabine alone or combination with AAG can improve outcome of AML/MDS with a complex karyotype, there being no significant difference decitabine in inducing remission rates in patients with different karyotype. Increasing the number of courses can improve efficiency. This approach with fewer treatment side effects in patients with a better tolerance should be employed in order to create an improved subsequent chance for HSCT.

This paper foucuses on the study of finite-time extended dissipative control for a class of switched nonlinear systems. An event-triggered communication scheme is proposed to reduce the transmitted data of the system state. Sufficient conditions for finite-time extended dissipative control for the switched nonlinear systems are addressed, based on extended dissipative, we can solve the H∞, L2 − L∞, Passivity and (Q, S, R)-dissipativity performance at the same time. T-S fuzzy models are applied to represent the nonlinear subsystems. Linear matrix inequality techniques are used for the design of the fuzzy controller. Finally, numerical examples are presented.
Application of Twin Support Vector Regression in Subgrade Settlement Prediction
Gao Hui,Song Qi-chao,Huang Jun 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.9 No.7
Due to the normal forecasting methods for subgrade settlement using observation data have different applicabilities, and the predicting results has bigger volatility and lower accuracy. In view of the above problems, based on the twin support vector regression tool, the settlement prediction model is established by combining with the measured roadbed settlement data; The related parameters of the prediction model are given and compared with the standard support vector regression machine, the comparison tests show that the twins support vector regression is a new method to predict the settlement of the roadbed, and is superior in forecasting accuracy to the standard support vector regression.
Biological characterization of mesenchymal stem cells from bovine umbilical cord
Hui Xiong,Wei Jun Guan,Yue Hui Ma,Chunyu Bai,Shuang Wu,Yuhua Gao,Taofeng Lu,Qingyun Hu 한국통합생물학회 2014 Animal cells and systems Vol.18 No.1
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multi-potential cells that are able to proliferate and differentiate into othercell types. Much research has been done on the MSCs from the umbilical cord (UCMSCs) in human, mice, andavian, but little literature has been published about these cells in big livestock. Here, we choose Luxi cattle asthe experimental animal, we describe an external culture of the UCMSCs from it and summarize the biologicalcharacteristics of these cells, e.g., morphologic appearance, surface antigens, colony-forming ability, geneexpression, and differentiation potential were detected via using immunofluorescence and reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The induced cells, osteoblast, lipoblast, hepatocyte, islet cells, andneurocyte were identified by Alizarin red staining, Oil-red-O staining, Periodic acid-schiff staining, andDithizone staining and RT-PCR detection for specific genes. Results suggest that biological characteristics ofthe UCMSCs were similar to those of MSCs previously analyzed. The primary UCMSCs were sub-cultured topassage 32, the UCMSCs expressed gene CD29, CD44, CD73, CD90, and CD166, induced cells illustratedtypical staining, and expressed specific genes, which indicate that the UCMSCs could be a novel alternativesource of MSCs for experimental and clinical applications.

Due to the normal forecasting methods for subgrade settlement using observation data have different applicability and disadvantages, The Combined forecasting model is put forward based on support vector machine (SVM) and real-coded quantum evolutionary algorithm (RQEA) in this paper. Its core is that, according to the basic settlement law of subgrade and characteristics of settlement curve, the growth curve which has S-type characteristic are chosen as single forecasting model, then support vector machine is used to combine the predicting results of each single forecasting model, at the same time, RQEA is adopted to optimize support vector machine parameter to improve the SVM’s performance. The analytical result of engineering practice indicates that the proposed combined forecasting model of subgrade settlement base on SVM and RQEA can not only improve the predicting accuracy, but also reduce the predicting risk, and can meet engineering demand.

Objective: Twist, a basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor, plays a key role in the metastatic progression of human cancer. Matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9 is an endopeptidase that digests basement membrane type IV collagen, therefore being possibly related to tumor progression. It has been reported that Twist and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) are expressed in gastric cancers. However, the exact roles of Twist and MMP-9 in tumor metastasis and prognosis remain unclear. The aim of this study was to casts light on this question. Methods:Twist and MMP-9 expression in tissue sections of 37 gastric carcinomas was evaluated with immunohistochemistry. The staining results were compared with clinicopatholgic features and to patients' outcome. Results: Twist positive expression was significantly increased in gastric cancer cases with lymph node metastasis (P=0.023). But no correlations were found between MMP-9 overexpression and clinicopathologic features, such as recurrence, TNM stage, and lymph node metastasis. Overall survival (OS) was significantly correlated with recurrence, serosa invasion, TNM stages, distant metastasis, and MMP-9 (P=0.027, 0.021, 0.000, 0.024 and 0.036, respectively). Disease-free survival (DFS) was prominently related to recurrence location, serosa invasion and TNM stages (P=0.000, 0.038 and 0.003, respectively). In the Cox regression multivariate analysis, TNM stage, distant metastasis and MMP-9 were significantly associated with prognosis of gastric cancer (P=0.002, 0.019, and 0.032, respectively). Conclusions: This study showed Twist positive expression to be significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer. MMP-9 overexpression is associated with OS, suggesting that MMP-9 is a prognostic indicator for survival in patients with gastric cancer.
