A new proof of generalized Tychonoff theorem in $(L,M)$-fuzzy topological spaces

Hu Zhao,Hong-ying Zhang 원광대학교 기초자연과학연구소 2018 ANNALS OF FUZZY MATHEMATICS AND INFORMATICS Vol.16 No.2

In this paper, using the structures of $(L,M)$-fuzzy topological product spaces which were introduced by Hu Zhao, Sheng-Gang Li and Gui-Xiu Chen, we directly give another version on the proof of generalized Tychonoff theorem in $(L,M)$-fuzzy topological spaces which was introduced by Hong-Yan Li and Fu-Gui Shi

      • Exploration of Molecular Mechanisms of Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma Development Using a Microarray

        Zhang, Zong-Xin,Shen, Cui-Fen,Zou, Wei-Hua,Shou, Li-Hong,Zhang, Hui-Ying,Jin, Wen-Jun Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.3

Objective: We aimed to identify key genes, pathways and function modules in the development of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) with microarray data and interaction network analysis. Methods: Microarray data sets for 7 DLBCL samples and 7 normal controls was downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified with Student's t-test. KEGG functional enrichment analysis was performed to uncover their biological functions. Three global networks were established for immune system, signaling molecules and interactions and cancer genes. The DEGs were compared with the networks to observe their distributions and determine important key genes, pathways and modules. Results: A total of 945 DEGs were obtained, 272 up-regulated and 673 down-regulated. KEGG analysis revealed that two groups of pathways were significantly enriched: immune function and signaling molecules and interactions. Following interaction network analysis further confirmed the association of DEGs in immune system, signaling molecules and interactions and cancer genes. Conclusions: Our study could systemically characterize gene expression changes in DLBCL with microarray technology. A range of key genes, pathways and function modules were revealed. Utility in diagnosis and treatment may be expected with further focused research.

Ginsenoside Re Increases Fertile and Asthenozoospermic Infertile Human Sperm Motility by Induction of Nitric Oxide Synthase

        Hong Zhang,Qing-Ming Zhou,Xiao-Da Li,Yi Xie,Xin Duan,Feng-Ling Min,Bing Liu,Zhi-Gang Yuan 대한약학회 2006 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.29 No.2

We investigated the effects of Ginsenoside Re on human sperm motility in fertile and asthenozoospermic infertile individuals in vitro and the mechanism by which the Ginsenosides play their roles. The semen samples were obtained from 10 fertile volunteers and 10 asthenozoospermic infertile patients. Spermatozoa were separated by Percoll and incubated with 0, 1, 10 or 100 µM of Ginsenoside Re. Total sperm motility and progressive motility were measured by computer-aided sperm analyzer (CASA). Nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity was determined by the 3H-arginine to 3H-citrulline conversion assay, and the NOS protein was examined by the Western blot analysis. The production of sperm nitric oxide (NO) was detected using the Griess reaction. The results showed that Ginsenoside Re significantly enhanced both fertile and infertile sperm motility, NOS activity and NO production in a concentration-dependent manner. Sodium nitroprusside (SNP, 100 nM), a NO donor, mimicked the effects of Ginsenoside Re. And pretreatment with a NOS inhibitor Nω-Nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME, 100 µM) or a NO scavenger N-Acetyl-L-cysteine (LNAC, 1 mM) completely blocked the effects of Ginsenoside Re. Data suggested that Ginsenoside Re is beneficial to sperm motility, and that induction of NOS to increase NO production may be involved in this benefit.

      • Clinical Character of Pediatric Head and Neck Rhabdomysarcomas: A 7-Year Retrospective Study

        Zhang, Wei-Ling,Zhang, Yi,Huang, Dong-Sheng,Guo, Fang,Han, Tao,Hong, Liang,Hu, Hui-Min,Zhi, Tian Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.7

Objective: The rhabdomysarcoma (RMS) is most common soft tissue carcinoma in children, mostly found in the head and neck with high degree of malignancy. The current study aimed to summarize clinical data and evaluate treatment outcome of cases in a single hospital. Methods: Forty-one (24 male, 17 female) children with newly diagnosed RMS in Beijing Tong Ren Hospital were enrolled between November, 2004 and May, 2011. The. Students' t and Chi tests were then performed on retrospectively reviewed clinical data, followed by survival analysis based on the Kaplan Meier method using SPSS 17.0 software. Results: Of all cases, 32 were treated by common chemotherapy, and 3 cases with stage III RMS received high-dose chemotherapy and auto-peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (APBSCT). Side-effects in the former were: I grade for 62.5% (20/32), II grade for 28.1% (9/32), III grade account for 9.275% (3/32). Side-effects of 3 cases with APBSCT: 2 were I grade, 1 was III grade. The median follow-up time of 41 RMS cases was 41 months. Four cases were lost to follow-up, 7 cases recurred, and 5 cases died of cerebral metastasis, witha total survival rate was 86.5% (32/37). CR rate was 67.6% (25/37), PR was 18.9% (7/37). Conclusion: Multidiscipline treatment including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery and auto-PBSCT is highly recommended for pediatric patients with head and neck RMS.

      • Reevaluation of mixing among multiple water masses in the shelf: An example from the East China Sea

        Zhang, L.,Liu, Z.,Zhang, J.,Hong, G.H.,Park, Y.,Zhang, H.F. Pergamon Press ; Elsevier Science Ltd 2007 Continental shelf research Vol.27 No.15

East China Sea (ECS) is bounded by the continent where the fourth largest river of Changjiang discharges large amounts of freshwater to the west and by the Kuroshio in the East and connected to the South China Sea via Taiwan Strait, therefore water characteristics are very complex and undergo great seasonal changes. The dominant source waters in the ECS are found to be Kuroshio Surface Water (KSW), Kuroshio Sub-surface Water (KSSW), Changjiang Diluted Water (CDW), and Taiwan Strait Warm Water (TSWW). Optimum multiparameter analysis (OMP) using temperature, salinity and 226Ra were applied to quantify the contribution of individual source water to the surface water of the ECS in summer. The successful application of radium isotope in OMP analysis demonstrates the usefulness of 226Ra in the discrimination of mixing among multiple water sources. In 1987, one interesting phenomenon was that the KSSW entered the surface with the upwelling at the margin of continental shelf, and affected the coastal water obviously. In 1999, the TSWW extended northward continuously up to the Changjiang Estuary.

      • Consolidation Characteristics of Rapidly Deposited Yellow River-Derived Sediment in Estuary Delta

        ( Hong Zhang ),( Yonggang Jia ),( Xiaolei Liu ) 대한지질공학회 2019 대한지질공학회 학술발표회논문집 Vol.2019 No.2

The Yellow River, which presently discharges into the western Bohai Sea, is widely recognized as one of the highest sediment loads on Earth, about 1 × 109 t/y. Nevertheless, the fate of the remaining sediments delivered to the ocean is still not completely clear. Moreover, the consolidation of sediment at the river mouth contributes on the riverine sediment transport and depositional processes, and the evolution of deltaic morphology. In this study, we conducted in-situ experiments at an abandoned subaqueous delta lobe (Diaokou lobe) from 2004 to 2016 to investigate the consolidation process of the sediment. The goal was to improve our knowledge of the consolidation process of the Yellow River-derived sediment input to delta and to link the potential impacts on the fate of sediment. Our results show that the consolidation of the Yellow River derived sediment can complete during in 1500 minutes, and occur as over-consolidation phenomenon. In addition, the strength of the sediment changed over wide range of temporal and spatial scales. However, the sediment will change with the time of hydrodynamic action and even lead to liquefaction or submarine landslides.

Dynamic model-based back-stepping control design for-trajectory tracking of seabed tracked vehicles

        Hong Xiong,Yuxiang Chen,Yuxiao Li,Hong Zhu,Chunliang Yu,Jingguo Zhang 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.8

Tracked vehicles are widely used as seabed production tools to ensure a stable motion on soft sediments. However, the slippage resulted from the complex nonlinear trackterrain interaction while trajectory tracking causes problems for precisely predicting the motion. Accordingly, a “proper” motion control method is necessitated. This work proposes a novel dynamic modeling approach and motion control method for seabed tracked vehicles under nonholonomic constraints, with the inclusion of the effects of the bulldozing resistance, compaction resistance, water resistance, and the direction and velocity of the current. The backstepping control based on a model-based proportional-integral-derivative three degrees-offreedom method is applied in the controller, and its stability is proven by Lyapunov theory. The effectiveness and accuracy of the method in controlling seabed tracked vehicles are validated by simulation examples.

Microstructure and corrosion resistance of Ni-based alloy laser coatings with nanosize CeO2 addition

Hong Zhang, Shi,Xi Li, Ming,Hong Yoon, Jae,Yul Cho, Tong,Zhu He, Yi,Gyu Lee, Chan Elsevier 2008 SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OF ADVANCED MATERIALS Vol.9 No.3

<P>Micron-size Ni-base alloy (NBA) powders were mixed with both 1.5 wt.% (hereinafter %) micron-size CeO2 (<I>m</I>-CeO2) and also 1.5% and 3.0% nano-size CeO2 (<I>n</I>- CeO2) powders. These mixtures were coated on low-carbon steel (Q235) by 2.0 kW CO2 laser cladding. The effects on the microstructures, phases and electrochemical corrosion of the coatings upon the addition of <I>m</I>- and <I>n</I>- CeO2 powders to NBA (<I>m</I>- and <I>n</I>- CeO2 /NBA) have been investigated. The results showed that a smooth coating was prepared under suitable processing parameters (<I>P</I>= 2.0 kW, <I>V</I>= 180 mm min- 1) by adding 1.5% <I>n</I>- CeO2. In addition to the primary phases of γ-Ni, Cr23 C6 and Ni3 B in the Ni-base alloy coating, CeNi3 was formed in Ni-base alloy coatings with both <I>n</I>- CeO2 and <I>m</I>-CeO2 particles, and CeNi5 appeared in the coating upon decreasing the size of CeO2 particles. Well-developed dendrites were observed in the Ni-base alloy coating; directional dendrites grew at the interface in the coating upon the addition of <I>m</I>-CeO2, whereas fine and multioriented dendrites grew upon decreasing the size of CeO2 particles to the nanoscale. Actinomorphic dendrites and compact equiaxed dendrites grew from the interface to near the surface upon increasing the content of <I>n</I>- CeO2 from 1.5 to 3.0%. In strongly acidic HNO3 solution, the severe corrosion of dendrites occurred and there were many corrosion pits in the Ni-base alloy coating; intercrystalline corrosion also has a dominant role upon the addition of <I>m</I>-CeO2, whereas uniform corrosion occurs in the coating as the size of CeO2 particles is decreased to nanoscale.</P>

      • Effects of Secondary Left-sided Portal Hypertension on the Radical Operation Rate and Prognosis in Patients with Pancreatic Cancer

Zhang, Shuo,Wen, Dong-Qing,Kong, Ya-Lin,Li, Ya-Li,Zhang, Hong-Yi Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.5

Objective: To investigate the effects of secondary left-sided portal hypertension (LSPH) on the radical operation rate of patients with pancreatic cancer and systemically evaluate the prognosis of patients with LSPH secondary to pancreatic cancer after radical surgery. Materials and Methods: The data of patients with pancreatic cancer who underwent laparotomy over a 15-year period in Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of Chinese PLA Air Force General Hospital from Jan. 1, 1997, to Jun. 30, 2012 was retrospectively reviewed. Results: A total of 362 patients with pancreatic cancer after laparotomy were selected, including 73 with LSPH and 289 without LSPH. Thirty-five patients with LSPH (47.9%) and 147 without non-LSPH (50.9%) respectively underwent radical operations. No significant difference was found between these two groups regarding the total resection rate and stratified radical resection rate according to different pathological types and cancer locations. The mean and median survival time of patients after radical operation in LSPH group were $13.9{\pm}1.3$ months and 14.8 months, respectively, while those in non-LSPH group were $22.6{\pm}1.4$ months and 18.4 months, respectively(P<0.05). Conclusions: Radical operations for pancreatic cancer and secondary LSPH are safe and effective. Because high-grade malignancy and poor prognosis are closely associated, the decision for radical surgery should be made more meticulously for the patients with pancreatic cancer.
