A large number of fundamental researches have been carried out for blast furnace. Dunne the past three decades a lot of effort has been made to estimate gas flow and gas distribution inside the blast furnace. There is a sound conviction that the understanding of gas behavior in the blast furnace is the key for improving blast furnace performance. The investigation of the blast furnace hearth is need to establish the basic knowledge of the techniques of repair and construction of the blast furnace. Now a days Automobiles are becoming more important in our life, the study on piston of engine is needed because, piston's cooling and lubrication of piston have an effect on the life and efficiency of engine directly. So, this study is about nozzle part of oil jet for cooling piston in the automotive engine. Piston exposes combustion gas of over 2000℃ and is shocked high pressure at the time of explosion shortly. Furthermore strong friction occurs by high speed rotation. The cooling system is considered from oil jet to piston. The previous system cooled the lower part of piston only. So, efficiency was low. To improve this system, make the oil gallery in the piston, and oil flows into the gallery. The value of oil flow rate into the gallery is important. Consequently, the point of this study is the research of investigation of flow characteristics for variable Re number. This study has been modelled by a commercial CFD code FLUENT, allowing to assess its validity.

Recently, we have many problems on the process of the sewage sludge. In past, the sewage sludge was treated by reclaimed land or thrown away in the sea. But these methods caused environmental pollution, Today, many researchers are studying various methods for reducing its volume. One of these method, this study is to reduce the moisture of sewage sludge and to solidify it using a dryer and curing equipment. In this research, we investigated about design parameter and operation condition of the equipment. The curing equipment reduces the percentage of water content from 30% of dryer to 10%. So, we have to study the curing characteristics and performance of curing equipment. For example, there are internal flow characteristics and change of the percentage of water content. And we investigated the change of data at outlet along the initial condition, temperature, humidity and air flow. Using this data, we achieve the experimental results of curing efficiency by each geometry and operating condition. And we also investigated numerical analysis of internal flow using CFD code. This research is basic study for optimal design of the curing equipment.

The wind power generation system is divided by two types, horizontal axis wind turbine(HAWT) and vertical axis wind turbine(VAWT). The VAWT can be used at low wind speed, and it does not influenced by the direction of the wind. But the efficiency of the VAWT is lower than the HAWT. So, it is necessary to solve this problem. And many researchers make an effort to solve the problem. The objective of this study is to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of the vertical axis wind turbine blade, and we also compared the torque values of various type of the VAWT blades. In conclusion, the efficiency of the blade type 2 is higher than the blade type 1.

Kimchi refrigerator, as one of the necessary production is widely used in domestic. In this paper, authers are focused on decrease of temperature variation using by the force convection of the stand type Kimchi refrigerator. The temperature variation is about 1°C on both left and right sides in Kimchi refrigerator. And the temperature variation is between 1 to 2℃ on top and bottom in Kimchi Refrigerator. Cooling fluid flow in the gap, which was among the boxes of the top, middle and bottom are not smooth in cooling fluid flow. It was observed that the recycling area under the bottom of the evaporator. It's also observed that useless area of the fluid flow for the cooling recycling system.

Stand type kimchi refrigerator has been popular model and also will predict wide rise of the growth but studies of stand type kimchi refrigerator are not enough. Propose of this study is solution of time and economic problem caused by complicated and hard test by analysing flow characteristics and temperature distribution in stand type kimchi refrigerator. Analysis program is CFX-11.0 and used force convection generated by fan revolution. Result of analysis, there are different parts between left flow and right flow and this fact causes difference of temperature distribution in kimchi refrigerator.

A kimchi refrigerator is a household electric product to develop with the wholly domestic technology for maturing and keeping kimchi. The principle of keeping is not yet revealed obviously. Therefore, inquiry into the fundamentals of things is a way to improve performance effective through experiments and numerical analysis. The flow and heat transfer characteristics in the kimchi refrigerator are investigated in this study.
