An exploratory study of the weather and calendar effects on tourism web site usage

<B>Purpose</B> - The purpose of this paper is to investigate the weather and calendar effects on the usage pattern of a tourism web site. <B>Design/methodology/approach</B> - This paper analyses data from a yearlong web log involving 21,655,089 visitors to a popular tourism web site. The weather factors include rain, snow, cloud cover, and the calendar factors include seasons and holidays in order to test the proposed model. <B>Findings</B> - Using data from the Korea Tourism Organisation and the Korean Meteorological Administration, the results show that when it was rainy, cloudy, summer or a workday, the number of visitors to the tourism information web site was higher. <B>Originality/value</B> - The results provide managers involved in the tourism industry with useful insights for effective use of web sites by running them more efficiently and setting up appropriate marketing strategies in terms of the weather and calendar variables.

한국은 단기간에 IT강국으로 급성장함에 따라 사이버상의 각종 부작용이 새로운 사회적 문제로 부각되고 있다. 사이버상의 부작용으로는 사이버 폭력, 개인정보 유출, 사이버 테러 등이 있는데 전 세계적으로 개인정보 유출에 대한 심각성이 대두되고 있다. 이런 개인정보 유출로 인한 피해비용을 산출하는 연구는 해외에서는 다양하게 이뤄지고 있지만 국내에서는 미흡한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 개인, 기업, 국가 기준에서 개인정보유출로 인한 피해비용을 실거래 평균값 기반, 개인 인식 가치 기반, 보상금액 기반, 타 국가 기반 등 총 4가지 방법으로 산출하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 이러한 산출모델을 통해 개인정보 유출로 인한 피해비용을 줄일 수 있는 방안 마련의 지표로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

DB운영 데이터 분석을 통한 G2B 시스템 평가 사례

The G2B system is one of the important information systems in the e-government implementation. It is difficult to measure the cost reduction effect of the system introduction because there are many participants in the complex procurement processes. Previous approaches of the performance evaluation of such processes have been based on conducting some surveys and interviews with statistical methods. Therefore there have been some limitations in the verification of feasibility. Therefore this study tries to suggest a case of performance evaluation about the cost reduction in using of the G2B system by analyzing operational DB data from the G2B system. This study analyzed the procurement processes of G2B system according to ‘goods’ and ‘facilities/services’ and classified the procurement processes into 12 sub-processes. By developing an evaluation model for the cost reduction of e-procurement, we derived the whole cost reduction effect was 8,000 billon Won for the use of Korea KONEPS G2B system in 2008. Specially the cost reduction in the private sector was 6,600 billion Won. It was mainly due to the decrease of the offline visits to the related organizations to participate a bidding process. Moreover, the cost reduction of using shopping mall was 1,000 billion Won among the total 1,400 billion Won in the whole public sector. The main contribution of this paper is to show the more objective evaluation result of the use of e-procurement, which verifies the necessity of G2B system.

전자정부 G2B 시스템 도입에 따른 탄소저감효과 분석을 위한 모델 및 방법론 개발

최근 온난화 현상에 따른 범세계적 위기가 초래됨에 따라 선진국을 중심으로 교토의정서가 체결되었으며, 이를 계기로 온실가스 규제가 본격화되기 시작하였다. 또한 교토의정서의 교토유연성체계라는 시장메커니즘이 도입되어 온실가스 배출에 대한 소유권이 설정되고, 수급에 따라 배출권 가격이 형성되는 등 새로운 무형의 자원을 거래하는 탄소시장이 등장하게 되었다. 학계에서는 탄소배출효과를 측정하는 방법론과 이를 탄소배출권의 경제적 비용으로 전환하고자 하는 연구들이 태동하기 시작하였다. 본 연구에서는 전자정부 정보화사업 중 하나인 G2B 시스템을 통해 전통적인 조달업무 프로세스가 온라인화 됨에 따라 저감되는 탄소 배출저감효과 즉, e-transformation화에 따른 탄소저감효과를 측정하는 ECRE(Evaluation of CO₂ Reduction in E-transformation)모델과 절차를 제시하고자 한다. ECRE 모델은 세계기후협의체(IPCC)의 방법론을 근간으로 하여 크게 ‘이동 수단에 따른 탄소저감효과’, ‘종이문서 절감에 따른 탄소저감효과’ 2가지의 탄소배출량을 측정하고 이를 탄소배출권의 경제적 비용으로 환산한다. 또한 본 연구에서는 탄소저감효과를 효과적으로 측정하기 위하여 5단계와 10개의 세부절차로 구성된 절차를 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 ECRE 모델과 절차를 이용하여 정부기관은 물론 온실가스 규제를 받게 되는 에너지 환경기업 등에서 정보화사업을 통한 탄소감축 실적의 추정 및 추가적인 정보화사업 추진으로 기대되는 탄소저감효과를 사전에 시뮬레이션해 볼 수 있는 도구로서 활용이 기대된다. As a part of efforts to reduce the global emissions of greenhouse gases, the Kyoto Protocol was signed by major developed countries (“Annex I” countries). According to the Kyoto protocol, the Emission Trading Scheme that derives a trading market of the CO₂ emission rights is appeared. It causes that business institutions give lots of efforts to reduce CO₂ by using new environmentally sound technologies or increasing efficiency in production. On the while there have been several studies trying to develop a methodology to measure the effect of CO₂ reduction and its monetary value. In this research we suggest ECRE (Evaluation of CO₂ Reduction in E-transformation) model which can measure the CO₂ reduction effect through the introduction of G2B system. ECRC model was developed based on the IPCC methodology. ECRC model measures the two major effects of the CO₂ reduction which are ‘CO₂ reduction effect from transportation’ and ‘CO₂ reduction effect from the decrease of paper use’. In this paper, we calculate the economic effect of CO₂ reduction with the case of the G2B system in Korea. This research suggests a basic methodology to measure the CO₂ reduction performance for the e-transformed institution.

차세대 방통융합서비스 사업모델 평가에 관한 사례

Broadcasting telecommunication convergence service means a service where broadcasting and telecommunication converge. Recently with the advancement of technology, broadcasting telecommunication convergence service has been evolving to provide multimedia contents through various devices including wired and wireless network environment. Up to now, IPTV and smartphone-based convergence services have been dominant, but more developed and evolved technology and media will appear in the future. In order to derive the next generation broadcasting telecommunication convergence service supporting model, this study derives an evaluation model of broadcasting telecommunication convergence service and presents a case of evaluation of 30 demonstration projects supported by the Korean government from 2010 to 2014. In this study, we derive an evaluation model and evaluate the demonstration projects by reflecting the position of the main stake holders of service such as users, experts, and related organizational institutions, away from the existing simple service evaluation method. Expert questionnaire used AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method, and the evaluation results were divided into upper and lower groups to provide key implications by a gap analysis. From this analysis this study suggests guidelines for next generation broadcasting telecommunication service support projects. The next generation broadcasting convergence service business should be based on open platform type in terms of service type. In terms of service media, it should be centered on open devices such as smart phones and smart TVs. In terms of types of business responsibilities, it should be led by public organizations and it is necessary to increase the fund matching ratio by at least 62% when the private sector participates.

IT 스킬 표준에 관한 비교분석

  Nowadays, IT becomes one of the core competencies in a business. So defining appropriate responsibilities & roles of IT human resources as well as setting the professionalism of them is getting more important. However, there are lots of problems between the supply and the demand of IT human resource. The efforts to arrange workers who have expert knowledge and skill in right place are needed to strengthen national competitiveness. Recently, several leading countries are setting IT skill standards to solve such problems. Therefore, this paper aims at analyzing IT skill standards of developed countries such as ITSS of Japan, SFIA of United Kingdom, and SSIT of USA. By doing comparative analysis of current status of Korea with them, we derive some meaningful insights to develop a national IT skill standard.

사이버머니의 현황과 분류에 대한 탐색적 연구

전자상거래의 발전과 온라인 마일리지, 포털머니, 게임머니 등 비즈니스모델의 다변화로 사이버머니 시장이 발전하였다. 그 규모는 지속적으로 성장하여 이에 관련된 시장의 분류, 현황 및 문제점, 이슈에 대한 연구의 필요성이 높아지고 있는 시점이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사이버머니에 관련된 기존문헌 분석을 통하여 탐색적 연구를 시행하였다. 이를 통해 사이버머니의 범위를 설정하고 사이버머니 분류지표를 제시하며 사이버머니의 발전에 대한 이슈와 사이버머니 시장현황에 대한 현황을 살펴본다. The cybermoney marketplace has been improved by many changes of a business model, such as the development of online exchange, online mileage, potalmoney and gamemoney and so on. Because of its continuous growth, the need for categorizing manketplaces and researching on cybermoney marketplace status and problems has been increased. Therefore, in this paper, We researched about cybermoney marketplace's status and problems. We suggest the indicator that could classify cybermoney. We examined the status of cybermoney marketplace and identified the issues of development of cybermoney.

SW개발 SI 프로젝트 과업내용변경에 대한 대가 조정에 관한 연구

Generally SW industry is considered as a high value-added business area. However, many SI companies in Korea have been loosing profits in public business sector. One of the reasons of this problem is because the compensation for the change of work which occurs frequently during a project has been rarely happened. This might be because many contracts have been made as more officer-oriented one. So far, there has not been much study on this topic. So in this paper, we are going to define the change of works in SI projects, analyze the characteristics, and classify them into some categories. After analyzing the current status and related laws concerning this problem, we will suggest a way to solve this problem and show the future research topics.

기업간 전자상거래를 위한 구매자쇼핑카트 효율성 분석

Buyer-carts to support the purchasing process in the B2B EC platform, can be categorized as s-cart, i-cart, and b-cart depending upon its residing sites:seller, intermediary, and buyer sites. In this paper, after proposing the desired features of buyer-carts in B2B EC as identification, collection, trashing, ordering, payment, tracking, recording, purchasing decision support, and transmission of records to e-procurement systems, we try to analyze each buyer-cart qualitatively from such viewpoints. Moreover, we propose an efficiency evaluation model for quantitative analysis. By setting variables from interview of employees in 30 listed companies in Korea, we try to evaluate the efficiency of buyer-carts in B2B EC. From this paper, we show that the b-cart platform is more efficient than other buyer-carts especially in B2B EC.
